well here's my problem i have a long early morning drive up to orlando for AFO7 so i'm trying to figure out things to do to keep myself fully awake while on the highway. Right now i'm making MP3 Disks for my car and im going through my huge archive *around 700 songs all japanese* on my computer compiling these cd's. but is there anything else i can do besdies listening to music. oh my drive is about 2-3 hours depending on weather and road conditions. so please give me some ideas to keep me sane.

My drive is 4 hours but I'm going with some friends so I'll be entertained. A great way though is to get some comdey CDs. Stand up comedy. May I suggest Dane Cook? He's great. <3
He has 2 CDs out. Retalliation and Harmful If Swallowed

I drove from just south of Chicago to New Orleans in a day something like 12 hours, but then I like to drive.
Just remember to pull over once an hour and take a small walk around the car. Have a few nibbly snacks on hand as well as plenty of water.

thanks you two. oh and i really hate standup comedy or most comedy artists they annoy me. there are exceptions but few. the walk around the car idea is a good idea i like that one.

I'm coming to Orlando from Tampa, which is about an hour and a half. Music should help keep you awake, but make sure it's energetic music, not soft J-Pop that might put you to sleep. Try not to take caffine pills or anything like that, because they'll give you a wicked crash afterwards.

Since I'm commign from the Tampa area.. it's not going to take that long, plus I'm going with a friend... I suggest deffinately having some good music, good upbeat music, and maybe having a few friends call you along the way to keep you company.. that's how I managed to make it durring my move to Florida nearly 3 years ago. I had friends calling me to keep me awake. It helps pass the time, and it keeps you awake.

2 and a half to 3 hours for me coming from Cape Coral. My friends driving so ill just use my portable dvd player to watch something and listen to my mp3 player. Im always driving to Michigan which is a 24 hour trip so three hours isnt a big deal. Most comedians indeed suck!

I dunno how well this works for everyone else, but I say a huge container of coffee always does well. Get yourself one of those handy travel karaf things and go at it. ^_~ Works for me anyhow.
That and any music that is super super loud.
