Cafe La' Magi-Nation
Welcome to the new thread specifically designed to sit around, and talk about anything Magi-Nation.
Consider this the MGN chatterbox, for those of you unsure what to do, introduce yourself, make yourself at home, ask questions, and kick back, waiting for a reply.
This should be a calm, mellow environment, lest I secretly hate you.
This is a good place to get aquainted with the MGN veterans and/or the original group, who are likely to know their way around so you don't get lost with all of these random threads.

So I heard from my friend today that the new set is supposed to be out in June of 06 and they still plan to aire the show. Does anybody else have any imformation on this?

Hell, as long as someone else has heard that it's still coming out, that means there's hope! Be it August this year or January next year, if it comes out at all I'm happy!

Oh. Cool so Magi-nation hasn't died just yet. Well I hope they come out with more cards. They should look at our card creator thread for some ideas. We had some good ones.

Well... nothing's really definitive. If they don't get the feeling that their products are selling, than we may never see any new sets, (a total of three more are rumored).
I even think they're re-working the base set. Not sure why, but I always love new art, so I think it's a bitchin' idea.
Unfortunately, I must admit there is nothing to look forward to as far as the Magi-Nation show is concerned. It looks absurb, and is most obviously designed for a very young audience.

But I have no idea how Tony Jones would be involved, since he's gone back home, I would think.

I have an interesting story to run off in here, if it's all right. xd
I probably mentioned that I'm tryin' to collect the entire Awakening set. ('m down to four cards! biggrin ) Getting Raega was interesting. Picked up the card in a random booster, and she didn't have any coating on her at all! Just the color for the picture - none of that glossy stuff that they use to protect the card. xp
So, an art major friend of mine picked up some spray on....lacquer, I think? And she works okay now. I'm not going to use her in a deck any time soon,(when I do, I'll probably go ahead and try to get a replacement 3nodding ) but I just thought it was kinda odd for her to come out that way.
Anyone else run into a 'bad' card situation like that? stare

Found 'em real cheap on eBay. $15 each for a VotS and ND Starter Box. $74 total for a VotS Starter Box and Booster Box, ND Starter Box and Booster Box, and a MND Binder. Total estimated value? Probably around $300 bare minimum.
