Pita-Ten Is actually short for Pitari-Tenshi! Which means "clinging angel"
The Character for "takashi" is similar to Ten in Tenshi so there is the nickname Ten-chan(I think.....lol)
"-Su" is short for Desu which means What do you think?
Yay! I finally know!
Pitatenluvuh is back baby!

You're wrong on the translation, it's never good to go with things on Wikipedia. It can be edited by anyone and it stays there as long as the admins think it looks right. >< Desu is a formal verb that mostly just signifies formal speech and is actually rarely translated. It's like in Naruto when he finishes his sentences with Dattebayo. It doesn't have a translation but just signifies a more slangy way of talking. In the english translation "believe it" was added simply to cover the gap that would be left. That's why in Fruits Basket Tohru doesn't keep saying "what do you think?". As it isn't translated and its small enough to cover in the dub, nothing had to be added.
