Ok in my guild we were talking about AFO, and I was talking about how funny Tom and the other dude were as judges for the Cosplay Contest. Then one of my friends was saying that they thought that they were rude, and mean, and they didnt think they should have been judges. Now I just wanted some more opinions on this matter.
You know my opinion, I thought they were great. My brother always says he's bored every year he goes, but this year he said it was the most fun he had thanks to those guys. If you didnt know, they also did the Transformers Panel, and holy crap I couldnt stop laughing. But yes, I thought they were great.

Planet Vegeta. But seriously, he reminds me of a Simon from American Idol, where he just tells you the way it is, and people get mad cause they think he's being mean, but hes just telling you the truth.

I'm betting the other guy is Tenticle Chris, one of the hosts for the con itself? At least I heard he was a judge, I didn't see it.
Beyond that I have no opinion cos I didn't see it. If someone could provide some sort of transcript ... ?

I left after a while because the cosplays weren't impressive at all...(I decided it was in my best interest to go eat a poptart in someone elses hotelroom...)
But what I did hear was hilarious. I liked 'em. wink

i should mention the judges for cosplay were picked last minute. we didnt have anyone lined up from the radio chatter i heard XD

orenjineko I left after a while because the cosplays weren't impressive at all...(I decided it was in my best interest to go eat a poptart in someone elses hotelroom...) But what I did hear was hilarious. I liked 'em. wink You know I thought the same thing. Usually there are a lot of funny ones, but this year it seemed real blah! I think the Naruto one won just cause of the Peanut Butter Jelly Time! But I only stayed cause the judges were so funny and kept me watching to see what happened next. suhiko i should mention the judges for cosplay were picked last minute. we didnt have anyone lined up from the radio chatter i heard XD Thats what they said. Tom even said before they started that they just grabbed him out of the hall way, cause we just finished the Tranformers PA then he got taken over to be a judge.

You're talking about the skits and such right?
Most of them were garbage. Boring. Poorly put together.
Half of them you couldn't hear, and I was near the front.
I think, the judges were way too nice. And when the one dude (that judged FAIRLY -aka not sugar coating-) in the corner actually gave [low] points that made sense, the audience was shatting their pants at him.
Its sad when the judges have to say a lot of "omg I don't know what you're cosplaying or what your skit is about, but I'll give you high points anyways!" ..Or incase of the Haruhi skit, the judges were like low points because you weren't an Inuyasha/FF/Naruto skit.

I meant on Satuday, and your right, they weren't really good this year. The Naruto one won mostly cause it woke everyone up
