I had a real date, out of the house, no keyboard involved!

I met a guy at a friend's wedding a couple of months ago, the groom's brother. His name is John. I think I posted about him, but I can't remember for sure. He called me Tuesday, and we talked some. Then he called again yesterday, twice. The second time he asked me on a date. Just simple, hanging out at his place.

So, he picked me up at 8. It was 8:30 this morning when I got home. It was nice. Brett watched the boys for me, since Lewis worked late.

We went to his place, which is about 10 miles from here. First he showed me the whole place. He has a 3 bedroom, 2 bath mobile home that he bought outright. He said he wanted me to see it, to see if I like it. It's really nice. We talked about finding land for him to buy, to set it up permanently, to get the house out of the park it's in now, with the rental lots.

We cuddled, and more. I haven't had an adult relationship, aside from two platonic dates almost three years ago, since Lewis. It was really nice. Falling asleep and waking up with a man feels better than I remembered.

We talked a lot, and he told me all sorts of stuff about his life before he moved to Virginia. We watched some TV. It felt really good, and relaxed.

He's going out of town this weekend, to a family reunion, but we're supposed to go to a barbecue at his brother's house next week.

He was really worried about Lewis. The last girl he dated also said she was separated, but her husband didn't agree, and it caused John some trouble. When he understood how long Lewis and I have been separated, and that Lewis's girlfriend just had their second child, he seemed to feel a lot better about things.

I'm very excited, although a bit sleepy, today. I doubt I'm very coherent about all this, but I don't care.

Oh, the kids did fine going to bed without me for the first time ever. They were having breakfast when I got home, and were happy. They asked if John and I had a sleepover, and Robby asked if I slept in John's bed with him. I told him yes to both, and he said that was good.
