I was going to post this in the dictionary thread, but I thought I'd just start a new thread because I know of so many useful links that are filled with accurate information/answers regarding a lot of the topics I've seen discussed in the Guild. If this isn't okay, feel free to remove it, but I thought I'd post it just in case. *is such a newb* sweatdrop New Advent Catholic Encyclopedia - A huge online Catholic dictionary (sorry, no jewify, lol) Catholic Answers -A great Catholic apologetics site with answers to a wide range of important questions and a store. Douay-Rheims Online Bible - An accurate online Catholic Bible with beautiful language. Eternal Word Television Network - The website of the largest Catholic television network. EWTN has online radio and some archived shows, including clips of the Holy Father. heart I can probably find quite a few others, but I think that's enough for now. I hope they are as useful to the rest of you as they are to me. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Index:Please bear with us as the index is complied; feel free to add more links, and if you can, add also which heading you think it belongs under. Please include also the name of the page, and if it's a particular link, the name of the site, followed by the name of the page. There is also a deliberate miscatagorisation, just as a mean way to see if any of you are actually paying attention. It ought to be pretty damn obvious. Danke.Spanish Language

http://www.sspx.org/sspxfaqs.htm ... because I'm not a freak. Really I'm not. That's the Society of St. Pius X's FAQ... for all of those who think that people who adhere to the last 2000 years of church history, tradition and teachings are just fossilized lunatic trouble makers. The Society of St. Pius X is a priestly society devoted to the presrevation of the Catholic church, in the face of modernism which threatens to destroy it. Their priests are formed in the traditional way, and say the Latin mass only. If you became a Catholic after the 1960's you might want to check it out. On a personal note, I've attended mass at 3 of their chapels. Each experience was enlightening, and every priest has been very edifying to meet. Check it out. (And don't bother flamming me.)

Please read this before you click the link: These sites here and here are anti-Catholic. They're false and insulting. Read them. This is the sort of thing that strengthens us, that we must face to defend out church. Read them and post in the Mary thread.

These are some links from the anti-catholic thread. marysservant I like the site http://www.catholic.com because of all the apologetics on it. They are so useful in defending the faith! Here is a link off the site which I feel could help us become better defenders of the faith: http://www.catholic.com/library/Starting_Out_as_an_Apologist.asp marysservant Oh... just look at this site: http://www.chick.com/information/religions/catholicism/ This guy, Jack Chick is seriously anti-catholic (I read anti-catholic literature to better be able to defend the Catholic faith). He makes several mistakes! He says the "IHS" used quite often as a symbol in the Catholic Church (as well as the Anglican church) stands for "Isis, Horus, and Seb;" the Egyptian Gods. This is completely wrong! It is a monogram for Jesus, (http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/07649a.htm) taken from the letters (in Greek I think) which spell his name. They also say that Catholics bow down and worship false idols such as Mary. And they say that the Eucharist and Transubstantiation were Catholic reinventions of ancient egyptian rituals. lymelady marysservant Oh... just look at this site: http://www.chick.com/information/religions/catholicism/ This guy, Jack Chick is seriously anti-catholic (I read anti-catholic literature to better be able to defend the Catholic faith). I have been told for years by my people that I'm a Pagan and I had no idea where they came up with it...until I read these.
