We've been talking about having a contest... Yeah, we need way more members, but what about ideas? A fee to enter? A prize? What's the theme?

Post your ideas here! we could have a story competition! Everyone could submit a story(at least everyone who wanted to enter) and then everyone would vote on the story they like the best(through a poll at the top of the page) and then we would have first, second, and third place prices based on the votes. ^^

The story competition seems pretty obvious to me, but its more fun if there's a definate theme.
Hey, I've got an idea! How about a "warped fairy tale" competition? You write a story based on a typical fairy tale( ex. Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, etc.) but with a twist of some sort. I don't know if we should do prizes or not, but its an idea.

That's a pretty cool idea ^^
Let's get some more ideas, members, and set rules for the contest and other info, and then decide on what we'll do. And we can always have more than one!

There could also be a write the most interesting beginning/middle/end. You could also have stuff for the holidays. Like "Write about a winter evening" or something
And, hey, Round Robins aren't a bad idea either. Assuming we can keep them halfway normal.

oh i love warped fairy tales!^^ i had to do one in 3rd grade. i used hanzel and gretal. it was really wierd. D: i think i made it all about ice cream of something...

well, i would probably do something funky to it, so mabye i shouldn't participate. again, just look at my shirt. if i was normal, i would NOT be wearing this shirt. XD

How about...best start up to what could be a much longer story? Who ever wants to enter just puts the first scene or chapter or whatever they want and the winner is the one with the best start up to get people interested, though not nessiarly the best writer.

Of course, both would be taken into consideration. 1f |_| 74l|< l1|<3 7|-|15 |_| //0||7 //1||... (translation: If you talk like this you won't win...)
Ideas so far:
-Best short story
-Warped fair tale
-Round robins
-Best first chapter of a certain theme
-Best ending of a certain theme
-Fill in the story details
I have no ideas as usual xd I'll try to think of one, though.

And the best ending. That would be fun too.
You could also have a contest where you say something like "Character A has betrayed Character B. How have they betrayed them? How does A feel about this? What are the consequences?" and see what stories result. XP Could be any type of setting, characters, etc. etc.
