There shall be many-a horse arpeeing in this thread, so feel free to join ^^
Jack AF Beagan Lesley Diablerie Goldeneye
Jack stood in the open desert, his butt to the wind to try to protect himself from the harsh, sand-bearing gusts that ripped through the area on a regular basis. This was one of the first times he had not been near his father, Ufo, since he was born, so Jack took advantage of this opportune moment and dozed in the hot afternoon sun. Lesley choked a little as she swallowed a sandy gulp of water. Everything here was full of sand! Everything! The water, the tack, the air... places she didn't want to mention were even plagued! Sighing, she ambled toward a shady region by the oasis and grazed on some very dry, prickly blades of dead grass. Diablerie was being his usual self. His name, which actually meant Mischief in French, was true enough for him; whenever he had the chance to have a little mean fun, he grabbed it until it screamed for mercy. He turned his head around to stare at the white spot on his rump; such an intricate pattern, so little time to stare. He closed his eyes for a moment; he couldn't have any fun around the other horses from his yurt. They'd catch on too quickly and ruin his fun. Goldeneye winced and stepped away from the dead cricket by the oasis. Bugs and other little creepy crawly things, along with blood and death, always scared his squeamish side (( which was his only side)). "Okay, I won't be drinking near here, I think," he said, his rich voice ringing against the dead plants around him. "Gross bug..." he mumbled as he passed by the cricket.

Ruby Uzuri Adok
Uzuri galloped over a great hill of sand, rearing in excitement once she reached the top. She made it, and it only took her... what, three tries? The happy little filly kicked her legs out behind her, scooping up sand and flinging it backwards. The sand was blowing around especially hard here, so she squinted against the gusts.
Adok sneezed as blowing sand hit his nostrils, and her lowered his head a little to help keep the sand off his face. He could feel dry grasses beneath his hooves, but he really wasn't watching where he was going.
Ruby admired herself in the water of the oasis. She turned this way and that to get a better look at herself, but her ears flicked back in annoyance when she spotted a stray strand of mane hanging over her face. She shook to sort it out, which only caused more strands to fall haphazardly, getting her even more annoyed.

Amira
Amira canter slowly through the desert, allowing the sand to swirl up around her feet. She snorted, and let out a small, happy nicker to herself. This was what she loved. Being out here, with the wind, the sand, everything. She knew many of the horses here didn't like the sand, but how could she not? She was born here, born into this. This was her world, the best one yet. She had been to the Americas, had seen that landscape, but her heart had always called her back here, back to the endless blue sky, the golden dunes, and the cool, green oasis'. She slowed to a trot as she approached the oasis, intent on finding a little shade, and some cool water to drink. There were a few horses there already, and she walked forward with her ears perked.

Alya Wajeeh
The proud black stallion trotted around the oasis, wondering about his true love, Rahu. He hadn't seen her in almost a month and he was beginning to worry about it. Remembering the good news she told him, the mare was expecting foals. Wajeeh tossed his head out of joy. He was going to be a father. Though the day was hot, the stallion began to canter off into the desert. The wind blew through his mane and his glossy coat gleamed in the sunlight.
After walking around the camp, Alya decided to rest at the oasis. She was also completely bored. None of the horses here seem to notice her. The angelic mare felt like an outcast, not fitting in was always a problem for her. Making friends wasn't easy either. She was a shy mare and not often does she approach another. The only horses that she was close to was her half-sister, Farasha, and the only stallion in her master's herd, Wajeeh.

Jack trotted over to the oasis with an angry growl of sorts and passed by many horses as he went. But, there was one mare, a creamy palomino with a white mark on her shoulder, that caught his eye. She seemed... he didn't know how to put it. He walked back to her and tried to catch her eye as he spoke. "Greetings, miss," he said, his foalish voice making his usual greeting sound overly-polite. Lesley looked around her and saw a roan mare not too far off. "Hey," she called out. She looked from the mare to the water. "Is it always this sandy? I can't remember when I got a bigger mouth fulla sand." She winced as she spoke; grains of sand were grinding against her teeth. Diablerie stayed in the shade as a few of his yurt-mates tried to make nice. He scoffed at them; didn't they know that they couldn't trick others if they were their friends? Sometimes, his yurt-mates were just so silly and immature. Goldeneye carefully picked his way through the crowd, crabstepping as he went due to little crawly things he thought he had seen but weren't really there. He kept repeating "sorry" as he went, occasionally almost bumping into another horse. His dark coat gleamed in the sunlight, and he pranced about when he realized that there were actually no bugs.

Farasha
The gentle, butterfly mare flared her nostrils as she stuck it out of her yurt. She could feel the desert's heat before even stepping into the sunlight. Bright green eyes searched around the camp for her sister, Alya. The camp was a bit quiet and she realized that the other horses were gone as well. Farasha cantered off towards the oasis, where the mare knew the others would be.
Golden eyes looked up at the young colt. "Hello." She tilted her head, letting her forelock fall over her left eye. This seemed a bit odd. No one ever came up to her, but this dappled colt was actually talking to her. Her ears flickered back and forth with interest.
Off in the distance, Wajeeh had stopped, noticing the crazy heat surrounding him. "This heat is unbearable." The stallion swung around and headed back to the oasis to cool off in it's clear water.

Ruby stopped what she was doing, and looked over at Lesley. Then she turned away as sand hit her face and threatened to enter her eyes. "It's not so bad when the wind isn't as strong. I hate wind!" she called out in reply. Then she trotted over to Lesley, since it was hard to talk in the wind except if you were right nearby.
Adok still wasn't paying attention; he barely realized he was walking right into Farasha's path.
Uzuri galloped down the hill as fast as she could, giggling as she stopped almost halfway to the water. Then she noticed Goldeneye and the way he was stepping so strangely. Uzuri watched him for a moment, curious as to why he kept muttering "sorry". Ever the bold filly, she came closer to him when he started to prance. "What are you doing?" she asked loudly from beside him.

(( I won Mela in an RPing contest way back, like 4 months+ and she never got certed >.< No pic.... Sorry.
She is white, pretty plain....))
Mela turned her head slightly, the sand was flying through the air wildly. The desert wasn't the best place to be. Turning her head back to normal, Mela squinted instead. She swished her tail, the sand was egttting tangled up in it. She sighed as she longed for some shelter.
