i love love songs. what are you favorite?
my favorite love song is "your man" by josh turner (i hope my husband has as smooth of a voice as josh turner) "amazed" by "lonestar brass bed" by josh gracin and "it's your love" by tim mcgraw.
ok, so it's all country, but still. its' so sweet.

I...honestly am not a big fan of love songs in the cheesy romantic sense. Closest thing I can think of is "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd. I guess it could be about a lover. "Julia Dream," too, I guess. And "Fake Plastic Trees" by Radiohead.
And even though the song itself isn't really a love song, I always sort of associate "Echoes" by Pink Floyd with warm fuzzy romantic feelings, because Henry introduced me to that song back in our early days of...well, not dating, but whatever it was that we did back then. To this day, it's probably my favourite non-classical piece of music, partly because it's a really great song, and partly because I have so many good memories attached to it.

Matt sent me a youtube video of Van Halen playing "Not Enough" on Letterman tonight. He didn't say anything about it, and he sends me Van Halen videos sometimes because he's a huge fan and usually there's no other meaning besides him loving Eddie's guitar skills... but still this is a really beautiful song and I can't help thinking that he sent it to me because of the lyrics.
