As a young maid, and cleric in-training, Angelina Elendade was just your normal 19 year old girl; although not as mature and gentle as many girls you see today. Living with her 2 other siblings for most of her life without the proper care of parentd in the castle of Arris, has taught her quite a bit about life. Angy had never really been to adventure, as it had seemed more of a dream. Yet...The orb her mother had left behind for Angy...Seems to glow with the warmth and kindness that she needed to move on everyday, without her parents. So...After a brief letter to Lady Reus about this particular orb, Angy awaited until she recieved message of their planned meeting.

"Angy? Annnnnggyyy...Angy! Wake up already!" A fammiliar voice, scolded as she felt someone pushing her. "For goodness sake Angelina Elenade, get up! You have alot of work to do today. Remember your meeting with the magic council? Lady Reus really doesn't have the stamina to put up with you." The voiced nagged.

Angy shook her head, and pulled the blanket over her head. "Just...5 more minutes Lena...5 more minutes of not hearing your voice..."The girl whined as she began to snooze off, once again.

"What did you say?!"Lena clentched her fist. Lena quickly pulled off the blankets, and began to scold once again.

As there was more yelling and scolding, a boy, around the age of 15, stepped into the bedroom, which the three siblings share. "Hey you two! Be quiet! You are disturbing the other workers. Lena, lady Persephone is calling you. And Angy, you have you get to your morning duties before today's meeting with Lady Reus! I hear she's not in the mood for lazy late girls." Luke said as she shool his head in dismay.

"Yea yea...I'm going."Angy said as she trudged off her bed, crawling to her droors for her clothing.

Lena obviously wasn't in the mood for slackers, and simply left the room with a "Hmph!".

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A few hours later...

"Miss Angelina?" A hooded man asked.

Angy nodded as she continued to sweep the kitchenroon's floor. "Yes sir? Is there something I can help you with?" Angy asked.

"Yes madame. Lady Reus will see you now." The hooded man nodded. Let me escort you to the tower."

"Oh ofcourse! Thank you very much, sir."Angy curtsied. "Hey, Melanie! I'm out for the meeting now."Angy called to the older maid. Angy quickly took off her dirty apron, and carefully took out the glowing periwinkle orb. She gently cleaned with her dress, and put it in her pocket as she followed the hooded man to the tower. As they began to make to the entrance to the twisted stairs to Lady Reus's room, Angy sighed. "This may take awhile..."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As they reached the top floor, Angy knelt down on the floor. "Phew...Thanks for the escort sir."Angy said as she huffed.

The man nodded. "Please wait while I get lady Reus."He said as she opened the door to the room, and closed it behind him.

Angy stood up, and took out her orb. It started glowing, as she stared at it's wonder. Angy smiled. "Every time I hold you...It seems I could just rest in peace for a few moments." Angy chuckled.

The door opened as the hooded man stepped out. "Lady Reus will see you now."

"Thank you sir."Angy said hastily as she stepped through the doors.

One would have to work very hard to find Reus within the confines of her library. The other members barely cross the threshhold as heavens knew what would fall from the ceiling above. Books, parchment, candles, ink bottles, and quills were scattered everywhere, leaving no surface unoccupied. Upon seeing it, many people would think it the lone female mage had been robbed, her intruder completely ransacking it, but leaving empty handed. Step places were strategically clearly indicating that Reus' decor was quite intentional. Up on a ladder, long silver white hair hung in a curtain, concealing the mage except for her brightly striped stockings and heeled shoes.

"Oh, don't mind the mess. Please come in and have a seat,"
Reus called over her shoulder, seeing the young woman barricaded at the door. "Give me a minute."

Laughing sheepishly, she snapped her fingers, and a path cleared, leading up to her seating area with plush chairs and a low table. Dropping down from the ladder with her skirts billowing, the mage clapped her hands in satifaction. Who says she never cleans for company?

"Come in and have a seat, Angelina,"
Reus smiled mischieveously. Plucking a book from her desk, en route to the chairs. A lazy wave of he hand, and all the junk cluttering the seat area, scuttled into the far corners of the room. "I've been waiting for you."

Angy was quite astonished too see Lady Reus's room. She had imagined...Something more neat? But never the less, it was quite amazing, as her domain seemed to be a vast and large library. She then quickly nodded to Lady Reus's remark. "Ah yes...Thank you lady Reus, for your hospitality."Angy said as she gave a quick curtsy, and stepped over to an empty seat. She quietly sat down, looking at the great wizard herself, although she seemed, like a normal human being, as herslef. "Ah yes, it's a definate pleasure to meet you, my lady."Angy said as she scooted herself towards the desk with her chair. She then took out the orb from her pocket, and gently laid it on the table. "Lady Reus...This orb. It requires the spark of life. Can you please tell me...Of what essense it holds?"Angy asked.

"There's no need for such formality with me in private, Angie. Call me Reus. Just Reus," Reus winked, wrinkling her nose. " Ah, let's have tea first, shall we? I always think better after a relaxing cup."

A servant entered bringing cups of Reus' favorite tea, chamomile with honey and lemon. The young boy served quickly and silently, before bowing deeply to the ladies in the room. Waving her hand, Reus added an extra slice of lemon to her tea, before lifting the cup and saucer elegantly to her lips.

"Truly a beautiful orb you have there, Angie. Crystal blue like the sky on a gorgeous spring morning," Reus mused, licking the extra honey from her tea spoon. "What images come to mind when you think of Grinpstide*?"

Her bright tangerine eyes remained fixed on Angie's face, paying no attention to the orb at all. She could feel the orb's presence: beautiful, and gentle. She continued sipping her tea, giving her guest time to ponder the question.

"Ohm alright Lad...I mean, Reus." Angy said as she gave a slight chuckle. Although Angy was quite hesitent to find out the answer of her question, Angy continued to smile. She thanked the servant boy as he passed with her tea, and quietly took gentle sips as she continued to speak with Reus.

"Why thank you Reus. The orb was my mothers." Angy said as she gave a beam of happiness. "Grinpstide you ask? I suppose I would imagine flowers...Yes, a bountiful amount of flowers. And I suppose butterflies as bee's aswell."Angy chuckled. "Why do you ask?" Angy said as she took another sip of her tea.

"Aha! A family heirloom, is it? Well, your mother was blessed with an intelligent daughter, Angie," Reus complimented genuinely, pushing a long ponytail from her shoulder. "As you know, such treasures don't just fall from the sky. A Creation Orb in itself, is something quite valuable. Stop looking so worried! This is a good thing. Relax!"

A curious smirk crawled opon the mage's face as the young woman painted a perfect image of Grinpstide. The flora and fauna coming to life as Tinrew retires: flowers, butterflies, and bees. Finishing off her tea and daydreaming contemplation of the seasons, Reus returned her cup and saucer to the table beside her. Turning he attention to the orb, she lifted it merely by beckoning it with her gloved fingers. The orb lifted and floated to her hand, hover above her palm. The cloud of shimmering sand swirling like clouds on a breezy day.

"An essence of that season slumbers peacefully within your orb, Angie,"
Reus smiled, eyeing it closely with a flash of interest in her eyes. "Peacefully resting within this orb lays a butterfly awaiting release. It would not be a common creation, Angie, but it is not a rarity either. There may be others."

"A family heirloom? I suppose so. My mother didn't get the chance to tell me...But I suppose, it is so."Angy nodded. She slightly blushed as Reus added the comment of being intelligent. "I would not say so, Reus, I mean...A bumbling girl as myself still struggling to keep up with learning small clerical spells would't make me very intelligent." Angy laughed.

As Reus began using her magic for the orb, Angy stared in awe, as the orb began to glow ever so faintly.

"A butterfly awaits? Ah...Must be the butterfly fae, the wila...My sisters use to tell me stories of their magic."Angy chuckled. She was quite happy that her orb was to be the enchanting butterfly, knowing of it's special powers, there were no words to explain the wondrous things that were to happen.

"Thank you very much, Reus. It has given me much peace to finally know what the orb is." Angy said with a slight bow.

"You're quite welcome, Angie. Believe in yourself. Confidence is essential for this undertaking," Reus nodded, playing with the orb, rolling it back and forth over her hands. "Yes, the wila are known for their radiant beauty and elegance. It will take some time for me to awaken the butterfly, so please be patient. I promise you will not be disappointed."

With a wave of her long fingers, an intricately carved box of cedar zipped out from under a pile of parchment scrolls and landed silently on the table in front of Angie. Another snap, and the cloth that held the Creation Orb floated up, folded itself, and rested on Angie's lap. Giving Angie a wink, Reus floated the orb slowly her. The orb stopped in front of her, waiting.

"You must put the orb inside the box as an affirmation that you are entrusting it to me," Reus spoke softly. Motioning her hand, the latch on the box opened, revealing a rich yellow satin lining. "After that, we can have more tea and girl talk."

Angy gave a slight chuckle. Although she knew she did lack just a bit in the confidence department, she chuckled since she knew to herself, that was clearly not the case.

"Thank you, Reus. Please take as much time as you need."Angy said with another quick bow of the head. Angy watched as the box floated up onto the table, and the orb hovering near Reus aswell. As the box opened, magically, Angy nodded. "Yes, Reus." She replied, politely. She gently stood up against the table, and reached out her hand for the orb. Once she got a hold of it, she gently placed it into the well designed box, and took her seat, once again.

"Oh, Reus! I almost forgot." Angy exclaimed. She quickly reached into a pocket, revealing a small package, wrapped in cheap-brown bag papers. "I know this isn't much...My family isn't as wealthy that we'd like to be." Angy gave a faint smile. "But Lena has heard you are fond of gifts, and we wouldn't want you going through all this trouble without a proper gift." Angy nodded. She laid the package on the table, slowly openening it for Reus. It revealed itself to be a small tea cup, painted in a pale blue color. It had trimmings of painted gold, with various designs of flowers and butterflies. "I'm sorry we couldn't make you anything bigger...I'm not very good with pottery."Angy said as she gave a weak smile.

"Now that's take care of, we can relax" Reus with a relieved sigh. With another lazy flick of her wrist, the box shut itself and zipped back to its hiding place on her desk. The fallen scrolls of parchement flew back up, covering it strategically. "Don't worry, Angie. My filing system may look like I've been robbed, but there certainly is method to my madness."

Snapping her fingers again, their tea cups refilled themselves. Ty as she may, she could never get the flavor right on the first try, so she added her second slice of lemon again. When her young visitor presented a package, a slight flush swept into her cheeks. The mage found the sentiment absolutely lovely. Even better it was another tea cup for her collection.

"Thank you so much, my friend," the mage smiled with wide, appreciateive eyes. Waving her hand again, the cup and saucer fluttered up to her hand. The like orb before them, it simply floated above her palm. However, the cup rotated in one direction, and the saucer in anothe. Reus held them up to the candle light to fully appreciate their beauty. "I shall treasure this fine piece of craftsmanship, Angie. Is there anything else you would like to talk about?"

Angy chuckled. Certainly wasn't every day you meet a sorceress as charming as Reus. Angy quickly sipped her tea, as it began to refill. A strange thing magic. Although she could use a small patch of spells. Arcane is mych different from the arts of Divine magic.

"Ehehe...You welcome Reus."Angy said as she gave another bow. "Actually...I do have one more question. Once the butterfly fae has manifested...What will become of her? Is there a certain purpose she was born for?"Angy asked as she took another sip of tea.

"That depends entirely on your relationship with you Legian once she's created," Reus shrugged, sipping her tea thoughtfully. "There may come a time when she choses to explore the world on her own, Angie. No pressure, but your guidance will sculpt her future."

Despite her youthful looks, Reus was knowledgable. She wasn't a genuis, but after living the equivalent of several lifetimes, the female council member learned a trick or two. Her vivid eyes took in Angie, sensing a powerful destiny within the young girl. "If there is ever a time you need my assistance, please do not hesitate to call upon me, Angie." A small fox spirit poked his head out from the headrest of a vacant chair between the two girls. It squeaked softly and hurried to hide behind Reus. "Now, Öz, don't be rude. We have a guest."

The small fox spirit floated away from Reus' side reluctantly. His golden eyes glittered brightly, feeling a positive vibe from the young woman. Sneaking up slowly, he wrapped himself around her arm, giving her a soft squeeze.

"Ah...I see."Angy nodded. She thought for a moment, of if her Legian would leave her. But as she remembered what feelings had spilled out as she held the orb just awhile ago, she believed that something as such couldn't happen. "Thank you for your sage advice. I will do my best to raise it."Angy said as she gave a slight bow.

As Reus's fox came about to Aerie, she laughed as it began wrapping itself around her arm. "He's...Adorable. Is he...Your legian?" Angy asked as she gave the fox a pet on the head.

Öz nuzzled her arm again and squeaked softly, resting in the crook of Angie's arm. A smile tugged at the corner of Reus' lips.

"Öz? Nah, he's just a lilttle friend I picked up in my journeys. Frightfully shy, but it seems he rather likes you," Reus said thoughtfully, playinging with the ends of one of he pony tails. "I'm in the process of making mine as well. The research is taking me ages though, as it will be a rare class. I don't want to botch it up."

Few people are able to win over Reus at a first visit. Angie could be either blessed or curse, as the female mage found herself developing a sisterly attatchment to her. "Tell me about yourself, Angie. We'll be seeing plenty of each other, so I'd like to become friends if possible."

Angy chuckled as the little fox began to snuggle around her arm. She gave it a few strkes on it's fur, as it began to purr. "Ah...He certainly is very sweet." Angy chuckled.

"Oh? I see...Perpahs your Legian and mine be friends aswell?"Angy smiled as she took another sip of tea. "I'd love to see what's she'd turn out to be."Angy said as she gave a nod.

Angy gave a slight blush as Reus asked the question. "Oh...About me? I'm not really anyone special..."Angy smiled."I'm just a young maid in the castles kitchen. And a maid that's trying to learn her clerical spells with that."Angy laughed. "Theres really nothing special about me. I'm just a commener."Angy said as she scratched her head. "But...i would love to know more about you,Reus. I've heard many stories of your powers and journies."
