Petalburgh City is home to Norman, a Gym leader. Test your skills against his team.
Appearing Pokemon:
Roll one 10-sided di.
1=Poochyena
2=Wurmple
3=Lotad
4=Zigzagoon
5=Ralts
6=Seedot
7=Poochyena
8=Wurmple
9=Lotad
10=Ralts
The level will be determined in the next post of battle, by rolling 1 4-sided di again, this time the corresponding number will be the level.
1=Lv. 2
2=Lv. 2
3=Lv. 3
4=Lv. 4

 Loki (M) Jolly Lv 5 HP-40 Attacks Pound-20 Growl-10 (9/15) Kaya entered Petalburg silently and after taking a break for lunch, he and Loki continued onward to the gym."What!" Kaya shouted, attracting the attention of several passersby.~Gym closed for repairs~ read a sign on the front doors. "No way. This is un-friggin-bulievable". Loki screwed up his face into an angered expression " Treeeeeko, Treeko Treeeee." he jumped onto Kaya's head and waved his tail in the boys face, attempting to cheer him up. Kaya picked Loki up off his head and set him back onto his left shoulder. "We might as well cut through the woods and move on to Rustboro city buddy. There's another gym there, and from what I've heard, the leader uses rock types. You'll have an advantage there." he told his pokemon as he headed for the entrance into the woods.

Loki (M) Jolly Lv 5 HP-40 Attacks Pound-20 Growl-10 (13/15) Kaya charged up to the train station and flashed his trainer pass to the guard just as he dived through the closing dors of the train. He was on his way to Cerulean city. He'd cut across to saffron fron there and take the train there, all the way back to Goldenrod...his hometown.

((bump)) Kent arrived at Petalburgh without any incidents, kind of to his disappointment. He entered the Pokemon Center. Kent walked up to Nurse Joy and said," Could I have a room please. Mudkip and I are rather tired from coming here from Littleroot." Mudkip had curled up on top of his backpack when Kent's arms got tired. Mudkip's mouth opened in a big yawn. "I see." Nurse Joy said with a giggle. "We don't get too many visitors so it's all yours." Kent smiled at her and went up the escalator to the trainer's room. There, Mudkip and him got ready for bed and were quickly sound asleep. ((  Mudkip lv. 5 HP-40 Attacks Tackle-20 Growl-10 5/15 Exp 5 Bumps 7 Posts))

Kent got up bright and early next morning. Mudkip was fast asleep still and Kent didn't have the heart to wake him up. So Kent quietly got out his sketchpad and drew a quick sketch of his pokemon then headed to the kitchen. Kent had almost finished his breakfast when Mudkip came rushing in and jumped right into Kent's lap. Kent lifted Mudkip up into the hair and said,"You ready for a new day?" "Muuuuudkip, mud." Mudkip said. Kent set Mudkip back down on the floor. He talked to Mudkip as he got Mudkip breakfast," There's a gym leader in this city but I don't think I'll challenge him. I've heard he's really strong and would probably wipe the floor with us. No offense to you. However, there's a Gym Leader called Roxanne in Rustboro that we could challenge. She's more on par with us. She also uses rock pokemon which will give us the advantage. I think I'll try to catch a wingull, a shroomish, and maybe a lotad. Kent finished his preparations and exited the Pokemon Center thanking Nurse Joy for letting him stay. Kent popped by to see the gym anyway to see what it was like. It was pretty big from outside. But apparantly it was closed for some reason. 'Too bad, I would have really liked to see it from the inside' He thought. Mudkip ran ahead of him as he headed towards Petalburgh Woods. Kent entered Petalburgh Woods. "Dang, it's really dark in here. Luckily we can still see everything. I've heard this forest is heavily infested with pokemon. Maybe I can catch that shroomish while I'm in here." "Muuuuuuud" Mudkip looked around scared. Kent smiled and bent down to pick him up. Mudkip kept turning its head in every direction to make sure nothing snuck up on her. Kent kept up a soothing voice as he walked through, "It's all right Mudkip, nothing will harm you as long as I'm here. I won't let anything hurt you."

Charmander (male) Lv 5 HP-40 Attacks Scratch-20 Growl-10 Personality- Calm * As he walks towards the pokemon center something caught his eye. A pokemon battle between two trainers much more advanced than he is,he decides to go watch that instead.* Bump #2

Charmander (male) Lv 5 HP-40 Attacks Scratch-20 Growl-10 2/15 exp * The battle was between a Charmeleon and a Sandslash although it looks at if Sandslash would have the advantage here there might still be a way for Charmeleon to win,Charmeleon used slash ,it was a direct hit.* Bump #3

Charmander (male) Lv 5 HP-40 Attacks Scratch-20 Growl-10 3/15 exp * As slandslash was weakning it took more and more strenght for him to use his attacks properly,sandslash used dig,Charmeleon on his toes looks around for hints of were sandslash could pop out.* bump #4

Charmander (male) Lv 5 HP-40 Attacks Scratch-20 Growl-10 4/15 exp *Sandslash revealed himself to the side of Charmeleon,Charmeleon turned around to see Sandslash,and he got hit right in the face..battle over Charmeleon Fainted.''That was an interesting battle'' he thought,now if i can only catch that ralts i wanted i wont need to be in this town anymore.As he headed towards the grassy area.* Bump #5

Charmander (male) Lv 5 HP-40 Attacks Scratch-20 Growl-10 5/15 exp *As he looks around for something to do he decides to go through the woods up to rustboro but on the way he noticed a Nincada that was traped by a vine."Charmander cut that vine with scratch" he said,Charmander did as he was told and cut the vine,Ninacada was now free and went on in the forest.* bump#6

She pulled the door handle, but it wouldn't budge. A sign said, "Gym closed. Please come back later!". Disappointed, she let her pokemon out of their pokebals to cheer her up. They stretched their legs and yawned, still half asleep.

Maybe we will find a new pokemon here." said Rikku. They found a secluded area with brightly colored flowers budding everywhere and a small pond with a few seedot resting at the edge. Zigzagoon ran all over smelling flowers, while Mudkip jusmped into the pond, scaring away the wild seedot.
