Chloe and her Swablu finally spotted Mossdeep in the distance across the water. Smiling to herself, Chloe pulled Daimon's Pokeball from her belt, caling the Kingdra into the water below, as Alkaid lost a bit of altitude, taking them lower. Daimon emerged from the water, as Chloe landed on the dragon's back, opting to take the rest of the route by water rather than air, giving Alkaid a much needed rest. Chloe still couldn't quite figure out how the small Swablu was able to carry her so far, but Chloe chalked it up to the small bird's big attitude and determination.
Smiling to herself, Chloe motioned to Daimon that she was ready, as the Kingdra sped through the water, slowly at first to give Chloe the chance to get used to the feeling and to let her catch her balance, before the master of the currents sped up, leaving miniature waves in his wake as the two sped towards shore.

Alkaid followed via the airways as Chloe stood on Daimon's back, getting a fair bit wet due to her choice of travel, but not minding in the least. It was a nice break to enjoy Surfing. Daimon seemed to be enjoying himself as well, clearly liking the salt water of the ocean over lakes and rivers that he had gotten the chance to swim in as well. There just wasn't anything that could compare to the vastness of the ocean, and it reminded him somewhat of the area around the Whirl Islands where he had grown up. So yes, ocean over lake any day.
Chloe smiled, enjoying the breeze as she kept a close eye on the waters around them. After giving instructions to Alkaid as well, the small group set out in their search for Relicanth, deciding to see if they could find one before hitting up the Mossdeep gym. After all, there weren't too many Pokemon left Chloe wanted to find in Hoenn, and Relicanth was quickly becoming her most wanted, mostly because she had a heck of a time trying to find one, and the headstrong trainer wasn't about to give up. Relicanth's rarity only spurred her determination on more.

As Daimon sped through the water, a school of Remoraid passing underway, the group kept an eye out for the dull brown scales of Relicanth. However, nothing was coming into sight yet, and the shore of Mossdeep was growing closer, so Chloe opted to head back out to deeper waters, calling out to Daimon, who slowed his speed a bit to hear her plan. Nodding as chloe explained that they might need to head back out to deep water, the kingdra turned, speeding back up again as the Swablu followed along behind, keeping an eye on the waters.
"Hopefully we can find one soon," Chloe smiled, knowing that it was still a rare chance to get a Relicanth, but hopefully they would have better luck Surfing than fishing.

Opting to call out a few more members of her party to help in the search, Mikami and Cael joined in, Cael taking to the waves as Mikami soared above them, keeping watch, as they scanned the waters for any shadows that might give away the position of the Pokemon in question. A flash from Chloe's belt alerted Entreri's appearance, as he hopped on Chloe's shoulder, a bit startled to find himself Surfing. When he had sensed Cael and Mikami's release, he had opted to sneak out of his Pokeball also, it had been an easy matter for the agile Sneasel. However, he had mistaken the situation, thinking that there had been trouble.
He certainly didn't expect to be on the ocean...

As the Sneasel let out an uncharacteristic squeak of surprise, claws digging into Chloe's shoulder slightly in alarm, Chloe couldn't help but smile faintly. Reassuring the Sneasel, who was quick to assure HER that he certainly wasn't scared by the events, Entreri leaped from his trainer's shoulder, snatching hold of Mikami's tail.
The Flygon sqawked, started by the added weight, and took off across the water in a sudden burst of speed. The dragon whirled, seeking out the source of the weight, however, Entreri had succeeded in scrambling to Mikami's haunches, and the Flygon only found himself chasing his tail

Chloe couldn't help but laugh at the situation, about to intervene, however, a shadow beneath Daimon alerted her to a Pokemon. Motioning to Cael and Daimon to slow, Chloe could only watch as Mikami sped off, Sneasel on board, as she turned her attention to what was beneath her feet and Daimon's fins.

Too occupied with the Relicanth, Chloe almost missed the Latios skimming the ocean's surface almost alongside her. However, as Mikami stopped trying to buck the trouble-making Entreri off, and Entreri stopped trying to claw the insane dragon, the two finally noticed something.
There was a pretty large dragon close by.
And it was headed near Chloe.
Mikami freaked, darting forward, wings vibrating at a high frequency hum as he sped towards Chloe, nearly throwing Entreri off, who fell back, snatching hold of the Flygon's tail as the two plummeted from the skies. Entreri held on for dear life on the flailing tail of the Flygon, thankfully finding purchase on the fin-like spikes on Mikmai's tail, but complaining all the way downwards in a rather irritated howl.
"SNEASEEEEEEEEL!"
While Chloe had been calling Cael from the water to do an Aqua Tail on the Relicanth (she had considered a Thunderbolt, but decided that with her and Daimon being in the water too, it wouldn't be such a hot idea) the Dragonite did so, slamming his tail into the ancient fish, who grumbled his irritation, striking back with a rock tomb as the ocean churned, the floor of the ocean rising up under the control of the Reilcanth as rocks flung towards Cael, knocking the Dragonite from the skies as he floundered for a moment, before taking to the water, diving under the waves. He struck at the Relicanth once more with an Aqua Tail, and Chloe grinned, reaching for an Ultra Ball from her bag. Finally, that fish was hers!
That was when Mikami, and his wayward Sneasel stowaway finally caught up with Chloe. Mikami tried to slow, but found the extra weight of Entreri on his tail threw him off balance. His slowing turned into an all-out tumble, as the two fell from the sky.
Slamming into her, and knocking her from Daimon's back with a squeak. Flygon, Sneasel, and trainer found themselves in the middle of the waves, as Mikami sputtered treading water with a frown.
That hadn't turned out quite like he had planned.
Sputtering, Chloe yelped at the sudden cold splash of water, suddenly finding herself soaked.
"Mika! What the heck!?" she complained, brushing her bangs from her eyes as she spat out a mouthful of salt water.
"Yuck!" she muttered, coughing a few times to dislodge some extra water from her lungs. "What the heck was that for, Mikami?" she asked. "I almost had that-"
"SNEA. SEL!" Entreri interrupted her, as he clamored up on Daimon's back, shaking his fur in an unsuccessful attempt to rid himself of ocean water. He pointed a clawed hand at the Latios over head, grimacing. Honestly, how could his trainer be so empty-headed sometimes?
Chloe followed his point upwards, eyes widening as she spotted the Latios.
"...Oh..."
Frozen for a moment, Chloe frantically searched the top of the waves through her scattered items. Goggles, notebook, Pokedex, a couple of HMs floated by lazily carried by the tides as Daimon moved to herd Chloe's items back into her bag.
"Gah! Where are they!?" Chloe squeaked, finally spotting a purple capture ball floating nearby. Scooping up the Master Ball, hoping the water hadn't ruined the darn thing, Chloe flung it upwards.
Unfortunately her arm wasn't that good, and it only made it a few yards. As the Master Ball started to fall again, Cael leaped from the water, using another Aqua Tail and sending the Master Ball flying at the Latios. Thankfully his aim was better than his trainer's as the ball struck, drawing the dragon inside.
The Relicanth, spotting its opportunity, was about to strike at Cael with another Rock Tomb, however, Entreri spotted the movement out of the corner of his eye. Scooping up the nearest floating item, he chucked it at the Relicanth, distracting it so that it lost its concentration on its attack, the Rock Tomb dissipating before it could do any damage to the Dragonite. However, said item happened to be an Ultra Ball, as the Relicanth was drawn inside.
Both Pokeballs fell into the water, as Mikami scooped up the Relicanth and Cael retrieved the Latios' Master Ball. Both devices twitched briefly as the Pokemon within fought to free themselves, however after a moment, both stilled.
Chloe sat (or swam, if you want to be technical) in shock for a moment, sputtering salt water as she tried to keep her hair from her eyes. Mikami made it out of the water, after deposing the Relicanth's Pokeball in her bag, and helped to retrieve Chloe's other items. It looked like her Pokedex's screen was busted (water usually did that to electrical devices), and her notebook was ruined, but for the most everything seemed to be in tact.
Entreri offered Chloe a hand, as she climbed back on Daimon's back, as Cael handed her bag back to her after placing the now occupied Master Ball in her bag as well.
Chloe was absolutely speechless, still not really believing all that had just happened. Had she just caught Latios?

Still more than a little soggy, and spitting sea water every now and then, Chloe wrung her ponytail out, unsuccessfully trying to get some of the extra water off of her. Entreri looked just as bedraggled, plotting his revenge for Mikami, if only the durn Flygon would come within reach!
Mikami and Cael took to the skies, as Daimon made the trek towards mainland. The dragons kept an eye out for any items that may have escaped, but it seemed like they had tracked everything down. Chloe would have to see about getting a new Pokedex, however. It seemed hers was pretty much fried.
Still in a bit of shock after spotting the dragon, Chloe handled the Master Ball nervously, still not quite believing that it was occupied. Since her Pokedex was fried, she was unable to transfer the Relicanth to her PC yet, but that would be easily remedied once they made it to shore and to the Pokecenter.

The group made their way back to shore in short order, as Chloe hopped off of Daimon, thanking the Kingdra, before taking off her coat. The extra weight of the material was taxing, that much she was sure of. Grimacing slightly, Chloe squishy-shoed her way to the Pokecenter, still dripping. She had returned all of her party except for Entreri, who refused to return until he was dry, and entered the center.
A quick stop to the PC, and the Relicanth was deposited, along with Saku, as Chloe opted to keep the Latios along with her. Still smiling despite her sorry state, Chloe clipped the Master Ball to her belt along with the rest of her party.
Entreri had stolen a couple of towels from the nursing staff (unwilling to ask for one, despite the fact that they would have clearly offered some. After all the two were dripping all over the floors...), so Chloe and the Sneasel set up outside to try to dry off a bit. Thankfully it was a sunny, warm day, so there was no fear of catching a cold (although she doubted the Sneasel could catch a cold anyway), and it was sure not to take long to dry off.

After the two had the chance to dry off, Chloe and Entreri set out to explore the town a bit, deciding to try to locate the gym. Entreri seemed to be warming up to Chloe, although he was still silent, he seemed to be tolerating her at least. Chloe wasn't sure to be thankful for that or not, but it seemed to work.
After a short walk, the two located the gym located on the northern end of the island. Looking a short distance eastward, they spotted the rocky climb that led to the space research facility.
"Want to head there after we get done at the gym?" Chloe asked Entreri, who considered it for a moment before nodding silently. The place seemed really interesting, they'd be sure to check it out later.
