Quickly, Henna scanned the area from above the lake that took over the center of the place. It housed the gym as well, which made Henna understand why the leader used Water types. Still, it was a biy ironic and quite annoying to Henna, but who was he to question a gym leader?
He flew, more like floated, over to the poke'mon center and hopped off Cygnas, giving her some much needed rest from all the events today, though she would be needed for the battle against Wallace, so Henna wanted to give her some down time in order to let her recuperate a bit.
Entering the poke'mon center, Henna swapped his team out for some more effective poke'mon, hoping that these would be enough.

(f) Viola Lv. 34 Hp 230/230 Exp (19/41) Absorb - 20 restores hp by +10 Acid - 30 Mega Drain-40 restores hp by +15 Sleep Powder-Puts opponent to sleep. ~~~~~~~~~~~
Clutching Viola's ball, Henna hoped the poke'mon still liked him enough to obey him. He hadn't used Viola in several months and here she was, needed at the final gym in Hoenn. "Alright Viola, use Sleep Powder!" he shouted when he threw the ball. Viola popped out of her ball and proceeded directly as planned. {{Seaking has fallen asleep.}}
"Tch, not fair! Seaking, wake up!" Wallace yelled at his poke'mon, but there was no response.
Henna chuckled. If he could keep this up, the battle would be much, much easier. "Viola, use Mega Drain." {{-80 from Seaking. 510hp left}}
Wallace continued to shout at his poke'mon, but the fish didn't wanna wake up just yet. It seemed to be waiting for the right moment. That or it hadn't fought in so long that it was truly bored here.
"Another Mega Drain!" {{-80 from Seaking. 430hp left}}
As if on cue, Seaking woke up and blasted Viola with a Water Pulse, however, Viola's resistance came into play and it did hardly any damage. {{-27 from Viola. 203hp left.}}
"Keep using Mega Drain, Viola!" Henna ordered his poke'mon. It was the best move to use considering that he needed to watch how his poke'mon's health fared. {{-80 from Seaking, +40 to Gloom. 350hp left Seaking, 230hp Gloom.}}
"Ack," Wallace cringed. "That did nothing, but I guess I forgot that Grass was strong against water.. but let's see here. Ah yes! Use Megahorn!" {{-100 from Viola. 130hp Viola}}
Henna winced as the Gloom took the hit. "You can keep going Voila, use Sleep Powder again." {{Seaking has fallen asleep.}}
"Nooo! Not again!" Wallace complained bitterly. As the eighth gym leader, he shouldn't be subject to such trechery. His poke'mon remained asleep.
"Viola, let's get your health back on track with a Mega Drain!" {{-80 from Seaking. 270hp left}}
Wallace, being a bit arrogant, kept complaining that he was losing badly, and this was only his first poke'mon. His Seaking still remained asleep.
"Alright Viola, you're gonna survive, let's blast him with another Mega Drain!" {{-80 from Seaking and +40 to Viola. Seaking Hp190, Viola 210hp}}
"Hah! Seaking is now awake and your poke'mon is about to faint!" Wallace smiled as he commanded his fish to blast the Gloom with another Blizzard. {{-200 from Gloom. Gloom 10hp}}
"Good job Viola, you're gonna need to recover for a bit, but now, let's have Jupiter blast this guy into the next century! Jupiter, strike with Thunder!" The mouse followed suit right on command as he was released from the confines of his poke'ball. {{-200 from Seaking. Seaking has fainted.}}

Walrein Lv 82 Hp-640 Hail-15 for 5 turns Sheer Cold-Instant KO 30% of time Blizzard-100 Water Pulse-45 ~~~~~vs~~~~~
(f) Hera Lv. 50 Hp 370/370 Exp (5/50) Magical Leaf-40 Thunderbolt-85 Psychic-100 Imprison - Prevents opponent from using attacks known by the user
When Wallace sent out his Walrein, Henna decided to fight using Hera. It was worth a shot anyways. "Alright Hera, kick off the battle with a Thunderbolt!" {{-170 from Walrein. 490hp Walrein}}
"We're not gonna let you get away so easily now," Wallace chided. His poke'mon were full of nasty tricks, and as the gym leader he should know how to use them. "Summon up a hail, my dear poke'mon!" Walrein complied, calling up a massive snowstorm that would batter the living daylights out of all of Henna's poke'mon. {{-15 from Hera. 355hp Hera}}
Henna had to dance around as some of the hail tried to plummet and assault him. After several near misses, Henna finally was able to pause long enough to give Hera her next attack. "Keep up the good work, girl. You can beat this thing, just keep blasting his walrus with your thunderbolts." Quick to comply, Hera summoned her own weather phenomena and sent the electricity hurtling towards Wallace's poke'mon, shocking it once more. {{-170 from Walrein. 320hp left}}
Wallace had to dodge some of the hail as well. Evidently his poke'mon was having problems controlling its own power when it was getting shocked. "Tch, you know, I think it's time we blasted that Gardevoir with a Blizzard. Fight strong weather with even stronger weather." Walrein's hailstorm was nothing as to what it could do in creating a massive snowstorm, which was sent after Walrein's psychic opponent. Add in the pelting from the hail, and Hera was going to be in sore shape soon. {{-115 from Hera. 240hp left Hera}}
After recovering from the blast of snow, ice and whatever else was packed into the attack, Hera was ready for her trainer's command. However, Henna was having a bit of a hard time getting out of the snow that covered him, which made Wallace laugh. "Having a bit of a hard time there?"
"Yeah, but your poke'mon's going to regret doing that. Hera, follow up with your own storm. Just keep zapping that thing!" Hera followed orders diligently, blasting the Walrein with its thunderstorm. {{-165 from Walrein. 150hp left Walrein}}
Ignoring the threat, Wallace had his poke'mon continue it's assault on Henna's Gardevoir, trying to bury it in snow and ice, but every time they achieved some of the desired effect, Hera would teleport out of it, causing them some much needed annoyance. Too bad for her trainer that he had to dig himself out of it, which again made Wallace laugh at him. "Continue using your impressive ice skills Walrein." Walrein did as it was told, blasting Hera again with an ice storm, which then she couldn't avoid the hail that continued to strike her. {{-115 from Hera. 125hp left}}
"Bah!" Henna said as he made it out of the pile of snow he was buried in, only to be struck with another large piece of hail. "Oi, can you stop that? It's not really too healthy to be hit in the head with ice the size of golf balls. As a matter of fact it hurts, quite badly," Henna complained to the arrogant gym leader, who, in return, ignored him. Scoffing, Henna asked his Gardevoir to finish the fight with her most powerful blast of electricity. The resulting storm, even shocked (no pun intended) Henna. The black clouds that carried the voltage dissipated the blizzard that was in effect and blasted, with incredible force, lightning at the Walrein, electrifying the water around it, and scoring some of the ground outside the main pond where Wallace's had to fight. {{-170 from Walrein. Walrein has fainted.}}

Milotic Lv 83 Hp-620 Aqua Ring-+20 hp each turn Surf-80 Hydro Pump-100 Recover-restores 1/2 hp ~~~~~vs~~~~~
(f) Cygnas Lv. 55 Hp-430/430 Exp (49/50) Dragon Pulse-80 Roost-restores 1/2 of max Hp Sing-Puts opponent to sleep (2/3 chance) Fly-55 1-charge, 2-attack
When Henna saw Milotic as Wallace's next poke'mon, his heart sank. This was a poke'mon that he had hoped wouldn't be here. This fight only got harder as it went along, but that's what you have to expect when you're fighting the eighth gym leader in a region. In response to Milotic, Henna sent out Cygnas. She should be more than apt to finish off Wallace's poke'mon. "Start the fight off with Dragon Pulse!" {{-80 to Milotic. 540hp left}}
There wasn't any facial expression n Wallace as he saw an Altaria come out for his next combatant. It would be easy to lead the guy on. He wasn't about to let his star poke'mon go to waste here and so, he began this bout with Aqua Ring, to give his poke'mon the advantage in stamina. But at the end of the two attacks, Walrein's hailstorm was still around and belted the Altaria for some small damage. {{+20 to Milotic. 560hp left}} ((-15 from Cygnas. 415hp left}}
"Did he really have to...?" Henna sighed. Now the fight would be even harder as Wallace's poke'mon would heal itself every round. "Sometimes, these leaders really annoy me. Cygnas, keep using Dragon Pulse!" {{-80 to Milotic. 460hp left}}
Not really minding that his poke'mon was getting beaten, Wallace picked the better of the two attacks he had and asked Milotic to proceede with it. The wave crashed down onto Cygnas, as well as her trainer, soaking them both to the bone. {{-40 from Cygnas 375hp left}} {{+20hp to Milotic. 480hp left}}
"First ice, now water. Are you enjoying seeing your poke'mon attack me too, or are you just that careless?" Henna shouted at the gym leader, quite livid that both he and his poke'mon were being attacked. "C'mon Cygnas, you can beat this thing! Blast it with another Dragon Pulse!" {{-80 from Milotic. 400 hp left.}}
Wallace figured he'd better implement his plan soon, otherwise Milotic would probably get beaten, quite badly, but he could wait till the dragon was a bit weaker, before he swapped out for Blastoise and knocked the opposition out. "Use another Surf," he ordered, not minding the fact that Henna would get soaked as well. {{-40 from Cygnas. 335hp left}} {{+20hp to Milotic. 420hp left}}
Henna just finally gave up, this guy was trying to make him mad and rash, so that he'd mess up fighting, and then fail at his attempt at getting the badge. But, Henna considered himself a better trainer than that, and continued fighting the same way. "Another Dragon Pulse, Cygnas!" he barked, hoping that eventually the poke'mon would do more damage than normal. {{-80 from Milotic. 360hp left.}}
Just one more round, just one more round, Wallace kept thinking to himself. At that point, he figured the poke'mon would be weak enough for Blastoise to come in and finish it off, ridding himself of the nuisance. "Keep up the good work Milotic, use Surf!" {{-40 from Cygnas. 315hp left}} {{+20hp to Milotic. 380hp left}}
"Cygnas, don't let him get the best of us! Keep up your attack!" Henna encouraged his poke'mon. It was easier than giving up, at least to someone who trained his poke'mon. Cygnas unleashed her energy, brazing the ground and splitting the first few inches of Wallace's pool apart,. The attack collided with the Milotic and forced it to fall into the water, being sent backwards from the impact. {{-80 from Milotic 300hp left}}
Seeing his prized poke'mon treated in such a manner caused Wallace to reach for Milotic's poke'ball and he returned the poke'mon. Grabbing for a second one, Wallace sent out his Blastoise, forcing Henna to reformulate his own plan. But he thought another water-type, easily beaten. But then he saw Blastoise summon up its own ice storm and then too late, it hit Cygnas, causing unprecedented damage, knocking her out. {{-400 from Cygnas. Cygnas has fainted!}}

Blastoise Lv 86 Hp-650 Earthquake-80 Blizzard-100 Hydro Pump-100 Rain Dance-Boosts Water poke'mon by 10 points and Electric poke'mon by 5 ~~~~~vs~~~~~
(m) Jupiter Lv. 57 Hp 430/430 Exp (3/50) Thunder Wave-Paralyzes opponent (2/3 chance) Charge-Raises the attack of next electrical move by 20 Thunder-100 Last Resort-100
Henna hung his head low as he had to recall Cygnas. It wasn't easy seeing one of your poke'mon fall to the ground defeated. And now he really knew how each and every one of the gym leaders felt when one of their poke'mon were defeated. But that's the type of emotional stress you have to deal with when you take on that kind of a job, and so Henna sucked up his sadness and tossed out Jupiter's poke'ball. This wasn't going to a nice match. Each side had a lot to lose and a lot at stake. For Wallace it was his pride as a gym leader and as a poke'mon trainer not to lose. For Henna, he needed something to fill the void in his heart from losing all of his memories. Now this duel was a cutthroat, each side striving at any cost to make the other lose. Henna opened up with his strongest attack from Jupiter. Forget any tactics, if Wallace wanted him to be rash and emotional so his thinking was clouded, then so be it. He got exactly what he wanted, and well, now he was going to pay the price for it. Wallace was going to be a goner soon. {{-200 from Blastoise. 450hp left}}
Wallace was sure he'd be able to win now that a poke'mon that resisted Milotic was gone, and he'd be able to exploit some power out of Blastoise. Sometimes he wondered just which of the two were stronger. Milotic could easily out stamina any opponent due to it's recovery abilities, but its offense was rather poor. On the other hand, Blastoise was the exact opposite. It could inflict great amounts of damage, but it couldn't take too much punishment. Either way, they both could beat this trainer, or so Wallace hoped. He had his gigantic turtle use electricity's only weakness, ground type attacks, by which the poke'mon complied. {{-160 from Jupiter. 270hp left}}
Henna, nor his poke'mon, didn't even flinch when the attack was sent their way. However, due to the sheer immensity of the blast, Jupiter did have to recover from the shock, but other than that, he was fine. Henna didn't even bother to shout an attack order, because Jupiter could tell from the electrical pulses given off by his trainer, that he knew he wanted nothing less than powerful, thunderous attacks from the poke'mon. Charging up for a second, Jupiter took aim at the Blastoise, and let loose a massive blast of thunder. When it hit the opponent, it tried to weather the attack, but it failed and was sent flying backwards a few feet, however, it still had some decent fight left in it. But that wasn't of any concern to Henna, nor his poke'mon. It was time to thrash this gym leader. He had spent quite enough time in the gym. {{-200 from Blastoise. 250hp left.}}
Wallace was losing his stoic demeanor. His poker face, which he had kept since Milotic first started, was crumbling. His poke'mon, which he had placed his full confidence in, was losing. Was it possible that there were trainers that were better than him, more skilled? Though he doubted it, and denied it, there was his proof right in front of him. Wallace refused to believe it. He had become the eighth gym leader through many, many years of dedication, and he wasn't about to let it get blown out of the water so easily.
He turned to his poke'mon and nodded to it, his face hardening to that of a warrior. As a gym leader, it was his duty, by which he swore oath, to stop all opposition from reaching the Elite Four. Getting ready for another attack was his main concern. There must be some opening that the trainer he was fighting saw right after he launched an attack. But that could be just his paranoia. However, he couldn't put that to a test, since too much was at stake here. He didn't have much choice in the matter as to what attack to use, because he had to pick soon, or forfeit his turn. "Alright Blastoise, commence with another quake!" he shouted to his poke'mon. Whether or not his enemy saw the flaw in his technique, which Wallace still believed didn't exist, or not, was something he couldn't ponder on forever. As Sootopolis' gym leader, he had to fight with all he had. {{-160 from Jupiter. 110hp left}}
Weathering another attack, Jupiter was getting a little worried that his stamina would fail him before he finished off his opponent, but he was ready to give it his all for his trainer. He had been with Henna since he first started out in Azalea town, and seeing his trainer smile was what the poke'mon continued fighting for. He wouldn't trade his trainer for anyone else in the world, even if his life was forfeit. But that was just how he felt, and Jupiter was sure that as the others in the poke'balls around Henna's belt, and even the ones in his PC, felt the same. Treating your poke'mon with compassion was the first step to becoming a trainer. Caring for them, helping them, were what a trainer should do in order to help the poke'mon like them in return. It was when mutual companionship that one earned the right to be called a trainer. There were bonds that needed to be formed for one to be able to fight along side one's poke'mon. And now was the time that those bonds were being put to the test. Later on down the road were harder, tougher challenges, which would strain the trust of poke'mon and his trainer, but for now, this is all that mattered. The future could wait and the past was already gone, so now, was what he needed to focus on.
Jupiter charged up his strongest thunder storm, doing his best to eradicate the Blastoise. The storm flew from Jupiter's small body, into the air, charging many, many small particles increasing the power of the attack. It was sent blazing at the water poke'mon, from all directions. Wallace immediately took cover, as he was still close to his poke'mon, but far enough for a normal attack to pass by him harmlessly. The turtle took the attack, and the few bolts that missed, struck the ground around the water poke'mon, flaring up dust clouds that covered the poke'mon and gave no clue as to whether or not it had survived. {{-200 from Blastoise. 50hp left.}}
Henna and Wallace both held their breath to see the results of the over powered attack. The dust refused to settle for a couple of minutes and no noises were heard from inside the cloud and Henna was almost certain that he had defeated that poke'mon, leaving Wallace with only one other.
But after another moment, Jupiter spotted a dark shape moving in the dust. Henna could see it too, and so did Wallace, who leaped up for joy as he found out that his turtle had survived the attack. Jupiter turned towards his trainer, telling him that his endurance was at its peak and if he were really, really lucky, he might survive the attack like the water type did, but it was very unlikely that he would. Henna shook his head defiantly and almost began crying when he heard the ground shake from the Blastoise counterstriking. The attack hit Jupiter, and sent him hurling into the air, and before he knew what he was doing, Henna was running to catch the mouse. He had to jump over rocks that had formed from the constant tremors and he dove to save his poke'mon from slamming into the ground. {{-200 from Jupiter. Jupiter has fainted.}}
Henna hugged the little creature, thanking it for fighting so hard for his sake. He felt absolutely horrible that two of his poke'mon were down now, and by the same poke'mon. Henna didn't return Jupiter to his poke'ball and instead held him in the nook of his arm as he tossed out Hera's ball, asking her to end this gruesome fight as quickly as she possible could.
Upon being sent out, Hera blasted the water poke'mon with her own version of a thunderbolt, finally bringing the poke'mon to its knees from exhaustion. {{-170 from Blastoise. Blastoise has fainted.}}
