ka-lik, ka-lak, ka-lik, ka-lak, turn... ka-lik, ka-lak, ka-lik, ka-lak, turn...
This pattern had been echoing through the large, spacious room for awhile now, and continued relentlessly. Xemnas threw an agitated, disgruntled glare towards an unnecessarily tall grandfather clock, whose pendulum added a sort of sub-division to Xemnas' steps.
ka-lik-tick-ka-lak-tock-ka-lik-tick-ka-lak-tock
It was seamless when the two were put together with just enough time for one cycle on the clock's part when the pause and pivot came into play.
"They're late," Xemnas growled irritably under his voice, then paused to consider something, looking up at the ceiling as he brought a fist to his chin. "I am inclined to believe I notified everyone, I swear it... So why isn't anyone here yet??" He continued pacing, glowering at the ground in front of him with frustration.
"Perhaps that's because you're an hour early," a voice called into the room.
The voice was familiar enough, but Xemnas turned and glanced up in the direction of the sound anyway. Just as he had expected Xigbar was sitting casually on a ledge high up on the wall, arms cradling his head, legs crossed, his right foot twitching idly.
"If that's so, then why are you here?" Xemnas countered in a slightly snippety tone.
"I had nothing better to do but hang out and wait for this blasted waste of time- er, what you say... 'meeting' to start," Xigbar gave a cocky grin as he sat up a bit straighter and shrugged, "Why should I complain, though? It's not like I was doing anything constructive as things were. But who all's expected to show up, anyway?"
"Preferably everyone," Xemnas replied sharply, turning his back on Xigbar as he begins pacing once more, signaling an end to their conversation. He really was not up to chatting right now, something was obviously on his mind, something that seemed important enough to call everyone together...
Xigbar leaned back on the edge of the wall once more with a discouraged frown, but feeling the need to say something he replied with a dismissive tone, "Fair enough..."
ka-lik, ka-lak, ka-lik, ka-lak, turn... ka-lik, ka-lak, ka-lik, ka-lak, turn...

Much closer to the time suggested, a portal opened in the wall of the large, white room, from which Xidme took a step into the meetingplace. Really, he couldn't be bothered to walk if things were that simple. Travelling in darkness was far more comfortable and convenient. The tall man looked around the room, blinking. He was surprised that he was only the second to arrive besides the superior, who would obviously be there first. Xidme shrugged, and gave a slight wave to the other two.
"Morning!" He greeted with a sarcastic grin. It was never morning in their city, after all.

The voice stopped Xemnas, and he took a moment before turning around, his face obviously reflecting a discontented expression. He looked about ready to retort with something in an irked nature as he turned, but once his eyes rested on Xidme his mouth closed, his hand lowered back behind him, and he gave a wan smile.
"Yes, hello Xidme," he said in a confident, controlled tone, "Might I ask where you've been, and more importantly if you've seen anyone else about?" His expression softened ask he spoke and approached one of the newest of his troupe, chest puffed like a proud uncle. While his question was finishing, he held out a hand to gesture Xidme towards a table that was in the center of the room. There were a few decorative ornaments on the table to keep things from being too mundane.
Upon hearing the new arrival Xigbar had to concentrate to keep himself from jumping at the unexpected sound. He could have sworn he had only been there for a few minutes, but a glance down at the giant grandfather clock proved him otherwise. He figured that he had nodded off, and further proof of that was the awkward taste in his mouth, that taste that seems only to be evident when one has fallen victim to a brief nap.
He stretched a bit and yawned with an idle wave towards Xidme as he was addressed by the superior. He appeared with a *BAMF* of imploding and exploding air next to Xidme (with the distinct smell of brimstone and fire) and continued nonchalantly following the two to the table.
'Finally, we're getting somewhere!' Xigbar thought with a wide grin as he swaggered right along side the two, obviously happy that something was happening. After all, approaching the table was a definite sign of something happening... right? He shrugged, figuring that if there was migration going on, of course something was happening!

"Xemnas, I'm afraid that Saíx is going to be a little delayed." A portal of darkness swirled open as the last word echoed through the room. When it had disappated, a man with the craziest sideburns was left behind. His dreads swung back and forth before his intense eyes as he stood comforably with his hands at the small of his back, slightly bent at the waist. The back of his right hand slowly tapped against his other wrist, as if he were deep in thought. "We made a surprising discovery not long ago that could be most profitable to the Organization, but I think I will with-hold the information until we are able to learn more." He strode foreward, his movements so smooth, he seemed to skim the floor rather than walk upon it. "He will be here, but not for a while yet."

Out of kinesthetic response to Xigbar teleporting next to him, Xidme jumped a few feet out of the way, and then scoffed. With a sweep of his hand, he lowered the gravity in a small field, gave a small jump, and floated over to the table, landing just in front of it with pinache.
"I've seen just about everyone except Luxord," He answered Xemnas. "As for me..." Xidme's eyes narrowed a bit and swept to the side. "Fuejix disappeared. I was looking for him, so he could come."

"Relax, Xemnas, I'm here." A voice echoed through the room as Axel stepped out of a dark portal. "So, what is this meeting about anyway? I haven't got all day to sit about talking politics. I've got a girl to capture, remember?" He gestured idly with his palm, shaking his head.
Axel walked over to the table and glanced idly about at the others, his eyes falling on Xidme. "Lost your charge already, have you Xidme? What happened, he get scared and run off?" He grinned lazily with a taunting gleam in his eye.
((Oh god, don't you just want to slap him? XD))

"At least he doesn't leave his charge to rot in some godforsaken CAVE." Jezix replied in Xidme's defense, stepping out of the portal behind Axel. "And at the bottom of the ocean, for that matter." He added.
His eyes fell on Xemnas. "Why hello thar, Mansex! Hello Xemnas." He said, with a slight nod of respect to his superior.

"It seems Cateyes shouldn't talk if he's been ditching his protegee," Xidme glared at Axel. "Fuejix is probably dead."

"I'm not ditching him, I just figured it would be safer for new blood like him if I went on a certain errand alone, I couldn't have him scaring that girl away, and I left him a safe enough place. He's just complaining over everything." Axel shrugged.
He sighed. "Look, I was only kidding. No need to get touchy. He probably isn't dead, I seriously doubt that he is. We don't die that easily, remember?"

Xigbar gave a smug grin in reply to Xidme's reaction to him, then took a seat nearer the back of the table, leaning back lazily in the chair as he readied himself for this meeting of sorts.
Xemnas turned towards the group with a sharp glare as he raised his hands and waved downwards to get everyone's attention.
"Calm down," he said in a stern tone, "We haven't time for squabbling right now! Now get to your seats and we'll begin. Regularly I'd suggest we wait awhile for Sa'ix and Luxord, but since no one has seen them, along with the urgency of this meeting, I suggest we get started right away." He gave an impatient glance towards Axel, Xidme, and Jezix as he said this, crossing his arms to further the expression.

"As if I wouldn't scare her any more than you did by yourself. She got away from you, remember?" Jezix reminded him cooly.
"Don't worry Xidme, he's probably just out there wandering around. We'll find him. Axel's right about one thing, he's most likely still alive somewhere."
"My apologies, Xemnas, do go on." Jezix faced his leader.

"You know nothing," Xidme crossed his arms. "Our connection is gone." He sighed, and then steeled himself, pressing his hands on the table and leaning over it. "Let's get to business."

"That's odd." Well, he's got to be out there somewhere. He thought.
He silenced himself then, deciding rather to continue his conversation with Xidme after Xemnas was finished.

"Yeah, let's get to business, our quarreling isn't getting us anywhere." Axel agreed to Xidme's statement, giving an apologetic nod to his comrade in evil and suddenly turning semi-serious.
