Deep in the V.A.L. was a vacant classroom, but no more. Of course "deep" really means that you go down the main corriodor, take a right, then a left, and its the room with the drawing of a panda stapled over the door.
RULES Just follow the site rules and you should be fine, but remember this. Mathew Park rules this classroom and I am he! =diabolic laughter= So defer to me on all major matters of judgement. 3nodding

((ooc - This came from The Lake.)) Mathew walked up to his classroom and unlocked the door. Normally he didn't plan on locking it, but he had something in there today. He entered his room which was large and rectangular. All of the chairs were jammed into the far end of the room so the entire floor was vacant ... perect for his demonstration. He pulled a large blade from its sheathe on his desk, slamming it into the floor so it stood upright. Now i just wait for the poppets. Mathew stood waiting patiently, he was a very patient man. ((ooc - I'm giving people a few days to get to the class and see that it's open. Place your first post and we actually start the class in a few days.))

((ooc - This came from Pells Dorm room.)) Pell finally arrived in the classroom and, as all the seats seemed to be jammed in a corner, he chose to stand. There was a large blade in the floor next to the teacher. Maybe this class won't be to bad after all ... Since he decided to be antidocial again he merely stared around the room, waiting for class to begin.

((The wind, even though we cannot see it, comes and goes. Jaycee came from here)) " Of course..." Jaycee's thoughts were somewhat cynical. He couldn't say he was feeling much, but he knew that beyond his placid mind, his body was aching. As he strode down the hall away from the fire elemental class, the voices of the other students seemed faded and non-descript. The little blind elf had run off rather quickly, but Jaycee didn't know her well enough to know it was normal or not, and despite his fascination with elves, he wasn't certain they liked him in return. The fire elemental class itself had been dissapointing, Jaycee had expected much more from the small woman after she had yelled, but for nothing it seemed. The class was too short to have been helpful, Jaycee was already an expert in meditation. It might have been some sort of trial, but considering the teacher, th young man was highly skeptical of that. Even if the amazingly short class had been some sort of test, for those who could do fire magic, it was not a good time to test Jaycee. The last few days had been far too tumultuous for him to be acting from his center, and traveling the long hard road to this place had left him sore and irritable. " Alone" his mind volunteered, and a slightly derisive smile curled unpleasantly into his light cheeks. His mind was right of course. It wasn't the journey, he had run rougher paths working as a courier. It was the fact that he was alone. On every trip except this one, a friend had been at his side, or at least a companion. And not only were those stolen from him, but they no longer even existed. The endless dark halls of the V.A.L. building on a quiet evening offered solace for the young man, his mind wandering along with his feet. The little milkmaid from his youth came alive behind his roving dark eyes, and inside his head scenes from his youth, memories, fond and foul alike. He hardly noticed the servants as they cleaned some of the passages, or the smells that wafted from one of the rooms where some professor no doubt was having his or her meal served. In fact, some time had passed before he realized where he was. As much as he wanted to curl up in a tiny ball in some corner and sleep, Jaycee straightened his shoulders and looked around. The sound of another student's footsteps caught his attention and Jaycee curiously tailed the young man into a classroom with an odd bear stapled onto the door. Upon a second inspection, the drawing revealed itself to be a panda, and a slight frown touched Jaycee's face. Did he have another class before bedtime? He couldn't remember, it was his first day after all. So, with a shrug, he pushed his way into the classroom, that had worked so far at this place. And if it wasn't a class he was in, they would tell him.

Having finally unpacked her bags, Rose meandered through the coredoors and looked up upon hearing the announcement. "Hmm, my first class." Shouldering her bag, she makes her way into the main building and promptly gets lost. After studying her map for a few minutes, she finally managed to make it to class. Knowing she was late, she rushed into the classroom and took a seat close to the back. Her face was flaming to match her hair. She was very curious how a school actually was, she had been tutored for her basic schooling. She was also excited about her first magic class. She dragged out her book and waited quietly for the professor to begin speaking.

((One thing you might wanna watch Sara, is changing tenses. "Shouldering her bag, she makes her way into the main building and promptly gets lost. After studying her map for a few minutes, she finally managed to make it to class." Do all that in past tense. So she made her way, got lost, etc... sorry 'bout that ^_^))
Shifting in his seat, Jaycee's darkly penciled brows drew together slightly. Yet another unfamiliar face. His dark eyes finished dancing over the girl, and he turned forwards again once he finished surveying her. Staring was impolite, and by her cherry red cheeks, she didn't need anyone to enhance her embarassment. Settling in position, Jaycee wondered how long 'till the class would start.
A quick inquirey had informed him that he was indeed part of this class, so he had prepared himself to sit through a seemingly boring lecture. He knew plenty about clerics, "holy" men were not a rare sight on the byways Jaycee had traveled. Of course, very few of them were any more than parlour magicians, or tricksters using the name of God to get a few extra coppers.
The teacher seemed a bit more than either of those, but he didn't radiate much power from what Jaycee could tell. And that large sword sticking out of the ground merely seemed an absurd demonstration of the man's ego. Jaycee smiled slightly as those thoughts ran throuhg his mind, displaying what one was feeling was a bad thing. Especially if it was a bunch of possibly erroneous assumptions.

((ooc - Ok, this is taking way longer then I thought to get people in the bloody class. stare Oh well, I'll be giving people lots more time to get interested and just wanted to let everybody to know that, no matter what, the class will begin this Monday the 11. Hopefully there will be enough people with their characters in this class before that but NO MATTER WHAT this class kicks into gear on that date.))

((Yeah, the guild seemed to die between the fire elemental and the self defense class. Not good. On the bright side: In college, I much prefer the smaller classes. Not that I've ever had only three people before, but it could be fun. Lotsa personalized teaching, almost tutoring... Cool biggrin ))

((ooc - Any latecomers will be accepted, so still feel free to wander in after this.))
Mathew seemed to alomst snap out of a trance. "Alright then! If this is what I have to work with then that'll have to do! I want your names and any experience that you've had with healing. Preferably magical experience but," he sighed heavily, "I guess something is beter than nothing. So, name and experience." He looked over the students with a stony gaze. Of course, after this things get interesting.

The dark eyes which had slowly glazed over with boredem refocused intently on the professor. Jaycee had been reviewing his first day at Windsor, and analyzing things that he was going to do differently tomorrow. He still needed to find out where this village was, and get all sorts of supplies, as well as finding out where to get food. He was just now feeling the pangs of hunger, having skipped lunch and eaten breakfast early in the morning.
Shrugging aside his twinging stomach, the folds under his eyes creased in a faint smile. They did this every class didn't they? Careful not to let the smile out onto his face entirely, he stood, bowed briefly, and spoke. His voice carried through the nearly empty room quite well, despite it's softness "I am Jaycee, and all the magical healing I've seen so far has been mere superstition." Pausing for a moment, he considered his words "Other than that, I know next to nothing about healing, sir.". Jaycee placed a little extra emphasis on the last word, considering that the clergy all were used to having their titles constantly used. That, and he didn't want to offend a professor so soon with impertinence.
With another brief bow, the slender young man took his seat. One eyebrow climbed ever so slightly up his forehead as he gazed expectantly at the professor, waiting for either a response, or for one of the other students to speak. Hopefully, despite this man's bravado, he would teach some useful skills. There were countless uses for healing. Even friendly sparring matches could break fingers, and it would be immensly helpful to fix those...

Jedrek had to hurry quite unexpectedly to class. He had been practicing with Hayana out on the practice field when his mind returned to the fact that they had other lessons to worry about. He practically ran across the field toward the class and arrived a bit more unkempt than usual. He walked into the room quickly and sat just as the professor asked for the students to share their experiences with healing.
When it came his turn to speak, Jedrek pushed stray bits of hair from his face and spoke in a voice so quiet it was practically a whisper. "My name is Jedrek Ralbofski, and I have practically no experience the healing arts."
