Alarms were going off, the "aliens" running this way and that. One could barely hear over the people's screams of terro "GET HIM!" and "CAPTURE THE TRAITOR!"

An explosion fell into the mix of noises.

Kisshu, the cause of the ruckas, darted into the cloud of smoke. His hands were cuffed together, he had been returned to the simple white clothing everyone wore there... However, his had been reduced to a mere skirt, with red welts littering his body. Shoeless, shirtless... Even the red ties that had been on his hair had been stripped away.

He stumbled to a stop as his excape route collapsed infront of him... giving a twisted smirk to the irony. He had betrayed his planet... and now the planet was betraying him. Figures. He snorted, fighting the cuffs that held his arms to his back and restrained most of his blanace...

Think, kisshu... Think...

He could hear the fire of blasts from his "comrades" following through the smoke.

-----

It had all started hours ago... no. Perhaps it really had started a year ago, when Kisshu had given his life for her. It had only been a matter of time amongst the falling city of his people that word got out just why they had failed their mission... And he was immediatly put on death row.

However, only earlier this day.. he had come up with an excape plan. He was bright, the reason he had been the only one on earth in the first place. And back home was no different...

While how he excaped was still a mystery to all but him, guards had quickly rushed to Pai and Taruto... The two "heros" who were now planning a new attack. "Lords, Kisshu has excaped!" the man panted, noises followed behind his words until a fateful BOOM tied the two stories together.

Pai's eyes seemed to darken at the words, Kisshu... Where would be flee too? There was nobody left on this planet that would lend aid to someone like him, someone that allowed a mere human girl to come between them and their mission, to allow them to fail so that they were forced to live that much longer amongst the ruins that was their current home. He drew in a breath, his calm not wavering as he turned to Taruto. He had an inkling, one of those thoughts that appeared in the back of his mind and while he really didn't want to consider it there was a truth to it that he couldn't deny, "I think I know where he is going." He said to his companion, then rose up to his feet.

They had to stop him before he did so, he didn't trust Kisshu anymore and part of him feared that the traitor would going running straight to her, to the one that had ruined everything in order to attempt to ruin it all over again. Kisshu's love for his people and their welfare wasn't as strong as his love for that cat earred witch that had cast her spell over him, "We need to recapture him, quickly."

Before he was able to get off their planet, before he could cause more trouble. Why couldn't he just accept his punishment and die as he was supposed too? Why couldn't he allow them their chance to get off his hellhole? Was that catgirl so important? That meant one thing, even if Kisshu were recaptured then they would have to get rid of her, so he would have no reason to fight against them. Maybe if that witch were dead the spell upon Kisshu would break and things would return to normal. Pai wouldn't admit it outloud but he did rather miss him, Kisshu had an energy about him that had made things seem possible even in the darkest of days. To have him turn on them...

He started out of the room, maybe if he helped to search for Kisshu himself then his recapture would go more successfully? He hoped so. They would call for his immedient death if he got away, were Pai able to catch him he would be able to toss him back into his cell in attempts to 'protect' him until the spell on him could be broken... No matter the means.

Taruto looked up at the guard as he gave the message, his face twisted into a childish frown. "That little traitor," he growled, crossing his arms as he pouted further, floating out of his seat. "I guess we gotta go and get him, huh?" He asked, shooting a glance over to Pai, and then back to the guard. "I think the two of us can handle it. Pai's right: if anybody, we'll know where to go."

Following his elder's example, Taruto floated back to the ground, then jogged behind, his pigtails bobbing in rhythm with his footsteps. Once the two had walked far enough to be away from earshot, he asked, "So, you really think he's going after that Earth girl?" His voice, for once, sounded sincerely worried, and he looked up to Pai with concerned eyes. He looked down for a moment, then back up again. "...Do you think we can bring him back? Y'know, to the old Kisshu?"

To be truthful, Taruto wasn't looking forward to fighting his old comrade, especially over something as stupid as a girl. What he wouldn't give to be rid of the Mew...With speed spurred on by being frustrated, he typed in the code to a door, and walked into the next hall. He wasn't exactly looking forward to the trip to Earth, either: pods weren't the most comfortable of things, and they left you vulnerable to attacks. "I hope they give us better Kirema this time...it'll be easy enough to beat the Earth girl, but Kisshu might be a problem."

Kisshu shifted as a few guards came into view, quickly twisting his body so that the next blast would hit the cuffs. Perfect.

he grinned widely at the guard who seemed the utmost stunned by the outcome of his attack "Thanks, Idiot!" he chimed cheerfully, lifting a claws hand to create an orb of energy as well... Thrusting it foreward into the group. The guards scattered as the attack neared them, leaving him with a good clean excape.

No.. none of them stood a chance against him. "Jyaaa!" He teased the group spitefully as he turned heels and ran again. Straight to one simple area.. the single ship they had. The one they had used last time. It was tucked away in a secure area... But he knew his way around, and once more... He got to where he wanted.

It was a round about way to get to the ship, but he made it... Their city was quite full of air vents just to keep a steady supply of oxegyn, it made a perfect infiltration...
Excluding the few burns he'd obtained on his hands...

There it was. The ship. Only one thing left to do now...

Without a second thought, he dropped from his hiding place into the open of the room, making a full out run for the ship. An added bonus was that this was their ONLY ship... If he got out of this, made it to earth... They couldn't follow him... Not unless he came back to get them.

His plan, one no one else would listen to... the asses. He'd figure out a way... That idea those silly mews had spoke of about everyone living there. No fighting... No more death.

They'd see... He'd make it work. He'd save everyone! They'd see he was NOT a traitor...

Pai nodded, "I am certain that he is heading back to her, she is the one that ruined him after all." He said as he hurried along, determined to catch up with Kisshu, he was just making everything worse for himself, he was just causing an uproar that would turn that many more people against him. They could only get so far claiming that he was under a spell, that they could fix him, save him.

"I would like to think we could get our old comrade back yes." He said, glancing over at Taruto and gave him as much of a smile as he could muster at the moment. As much as he would like to assure the other alien that things would be fine he wondered if that were true... how strong was the enchantment that was cast over him?

They were soon arriving upon a group of guards that were checking themselves over and brushing off, looking alright but at the same time...

"What happened here?" He demanded of them, not wanting the answer.

"The traitor came through here." One of them, a redhead with facial tattoos pipped up, lifting his arm to make a motion, "He was headed this way, we will go ahead and..."

Pai cut him off with a motion of his hand, "No, leave this to us." He said, looking over at Taruto. Things had changed, escape was one thing, fleeing back to that witch... but to attack his own people. Kisshu's mind was clouded by that girl and he found himself wondering now if there was hope for him.

Taruto's eyes widened as he heard the latest message, and didn't even wait for Pai before he jumped up, running in the pointed direction. That idiot! He cried out in thought, only stopping to look back at Pai with an enraged glare. "C'mon, let's go!" he yelled, then began to run again, driven with the need to catch his former friend.

He stopped at the main entrance to where the ship was, seeing the traitor's form from a distance. "Kisshu!" he called out, using whatever method he could to stall for time as he began to run once again. He readied an orb of energy in his hands as he neared the other alien, his mind set but his side thoughts confused. Would it really come down to a fight? Would it all end like this?

What if the aliens ever found out about Purrin...?

Taruto shook his head, then stopped, aiming his orb at Kisshu's head. "Stop right there!" The alien knew he couldn't have doubts: he had to finish it now, before he ended up like Kisshu himself. He had to fix things before he, too, fell under the strange spell.

"Don't make me use this..."

Kisshu froze at the ship's entrance door as a familiar voice caught him. Turning to face his old closest friends... Old was the key word. He almost wanted to hide his new state of clothing and bruises, it was embaressing.. having to be degraded to such interrigation methods. Still, they hadn't done a thing to save him. Not once... Some "friends"

He let out a cold, bitter laugh. "Go ahead! Nothing worse than anything else you two have done!" he gave a wave of his hand, the remaining half of the cuff jingling. The other hand sliding towards the door's handle.

"It was for your own good." Pai said as he caught up, catching what Kisshu said, "You are enchanted by that human witch! You need the spell broken so you can be yourself again!" He didn't want to do this but they were left with no choice were they? He held up this hands to gather his own energy into them, "We can't let you go to her Kisshu."

He wouldn't allow her to get her claws in any deeper then they already were, he wouldn't let Kisshu's mind become so clouded that he would become a pet to a human! He wouldn't!

"I will knock some sense into you if that is what it takes to free you."

Taruto frowned, concentrating on his energy orb and prepared to attack. There simply was no other way: if he let Kisshu get away, then he'd be admitting that it was okay to love and Earth girl, which it most certainly wasn't. A part of him wanted to treat the friend in his injured state, but it was the dominant part that flung the energy orb, a challenged cry escaping his lips as he did so.

He felt awful as he let go of the orb: not because he had done it, but because he knew he'd purposefully messed up the trajectory so that it would miss Kisshu at the last minute. Something had to be wrong with him, but he couldn't help it, and only hoped that Pai was more determined than he.

"What do you know about my good?" he let out a snort, spell? Enchanted? What on their planet had Pai been smoking?

Before he could respond though, a ball of energy was flying towards him. Kisshu flinched, hand clenching on the ship's handle to click it open, the other hand reaching up to sheild his face as the blow came straight for him. The hell?! He hadn't thought Taruto would really do that...

There was no hit, he heard a loud crash behind him where the misplaced orb had redirected itself. He removed his blocking arm, frowning at the two. Even though Taruto had missed Kisshu had still been hurt in that moment... There was a pause, before a sudden movement on the escapee's part. "And I'm the traitor eh?!" he snapped, whipping open the door and shoving himself inside.

He worked quickly, snapping down the large locks to the ship's door. If they really wanted him it was only a matter of time before the doors would give way to the blasts... And then it'd be game over. But if he had any say about it they wouldn't get that time.

He rushed down the hall towards the control panel, still frowning as he started typing in access codes...

Denied.

s**t, ofcourse they'd change it... Kisshu frowned at the screen, wracking his brian for the new password.

Pai glanced over at Taruto then shook his head, narrowing his eyes as he tried to forcing his emotions into a state that would make it so that he could do this, this was their only ship good for travel... if he took this then he would escape. They would be unable to pursue him, he wouldn't let it happen, wouldn't let Kisshu go if he left then that would be it... The chance that he would be able to come home would be gone, the chance of their people accepting him back would vanish...

He released the gathered energy after Kisshu though it only bounced off the doors that closed after him. A curse escaped the aliens lips as he saw the marking left on the doors before turning to Taruto, "The ship can be repaired, we need to break in." Needed to stop him, this was their last chance.

Taruto stepped backwards from Kisshu's accusation, a moment of regret in his expression before it hardened back to hatred. "Yeah, you're the traitor, because then we wouldn't have to be doing this!" Nodding at Pai's comment, he began to form another energy ball, and launched it at the ship, this time hitting it's target dead on. He prepared a third, launching it, but by that time the effort was starting to make him pant, and he paused, looking at Pai with a determined mindset.

"I...I should go get backup. We can't let him leave."

Type type.. denied. Denied. DENIED.

"Arg!" Kisshu growled as another energy blast pounded against the door, adrennalin pumping... He had to get out, he'd only face death if he didn't get out of here RIGHT now. If his so called friends hated him so much that they'd try and kill him... Then he had no place here... There was no going back now.

It was all a big misunderstanding though... Arg. Why hadn't ichigo just went with him?! Why hadn't deep blue agreed on letting kisshu have her... She could have been happy with him. Images of her with Masaya burned back into his memory... No... She wouldn't have been happy with him, would she? He flinched as more energy hit the door... Maybe he was better off dead when deep blue had killed him. Atleast then he would have died a hero... Not like he was about to here. Dubbed a traitor and hated by everyone...

Wait... Deep blue... Pai.. That was it! Deep blue was gone, Pai was in charge now, Pai set the password!

There was a breif moment of victory as he typed in a series of numbers... Only Pai would think up a password so complicated. Taptaptaptap

Another blast hit the door... come on come on... This was his last chance.

His heart pounded in his oversized ears as a green screen came on. "Access granted." the computer chimed.

His eyes widened, quickly jotting in the next course of action with shakey fingers... The engine started up, the ship lifted itself into the air. Yes!
PostPosted: Sat Sep 09, 2006 5:11 pm

Pai gave a hiss as the ship sounded, rising up. His password should have been something that fool couldn't figure out... he supposed that the moment where one was about to be defeated gave them a lot of extra power, a moment where everything fell together... He shifted his aim away from the doors to fire with all of his strength at one of the engines. It was already over, Kisshu could escape now that he had control of the ship. Pai would have to make sure that he didn't maintain that control. If he were lucky the best that Kisshu would come up with was a crashing landing on Earth. He would be damned if the stolen ship was used against them!

The arc of energy between his hands and the engine flickered and there was an explosion before Pai collapsed to his knees, his energy expended.

"No!"

Taruto watched in disbelief as the ship rose into the air, clenching his fists as he tried to form one last orb. However, he was spent, and could only watch in dismay as Pai, too, spent the last of his reserves on trying to hit a ship that was already gaining altitude. Feeling rather defeated, he ran to Pai's side, helping his elder up to his feet.

"We've got to get the first ship we can, and follow him! If we hurry, we can catch the jerk before he reaches the outer atmosphere." He nodded solemnly, looking up at the ship with a cold stare. He had to catch Kisshu, simply because a part of him was glad that the traitor was escaping.

"C'mon: there's gotta be another ship somewhere."
