By chance I was wondering how many of you actually knew about The Labyrinth of Jareth masquerade ball? They've been holding one each year for about 9years. its usually the second weekend of July in Hollywood. I've been trying to go for a while myself, but life got in the way. Anyway they always have tons of galleries going back fo each year showing a large amount of the people that showed up and alwys the people with the best Jareth and sarah costumes from the ball scene in the movie. anywy here's the linky

And there is also the new comic/ manga that came out, Return to the Labyrinth with the basis being around Toby. Unfortunately the art is't that great but I do have an urge to read the next one, mostly out of curiousity for it being about Labyrinth. Its out by Tokyopop and althought the art inside isn't top-notch the cover is amazing.

I think the art's amazing for a manga. o.O; But the storyline is good and sadly, no money for the ball. ;.;

"Ah yes the Jareth masquerade ball. I have been through all the galleries admiring the work put in to the costumes. But at last I'm in New England and don't get to go back to Cali, (I grew up there. Spend 17 years there.) and when I did live there I knew nothing of it.

I like the Manga for the simply fact it's Labyrinth related."

I was disapointed in the manga. I do use it as refrence though, he was good at drawing goblins and the labyrinth but the front gave misgivings on what it looked like from within. ^_^" i also thought the story line could have been better but ya know just the fact that theres ACTUALLY a laby comic out there, i shall definitly get them all

as for Jareths masquerade, i have been watching the main site for it and looking to where it is held but unfortunatly i am quite a long ways away from where they hold it. *crys*

I've been to one of the Masquerades, not this year's, but last year's.

They are really interesting and cool, but I recommend going with friends - if you don't want to drink or dance, there isn't much to do unless you have friends to talk to and wander around with.

I thought the manga was drawn completely by the artist who did the cover- I actually have another of thier mangas- Alichino- and was dissapointed by the standard of artwork inside. That does not mean It's still not great.
