Abel: You, uh, p-promise it isn't going to, hmmmm, explode? Promise? Cain: Now, why would I give you an exploding present? What kind of brother would I be if I did that? Abel: My kind of b-brother.

They also held that the way to salvation was to give way to lust and temptation in all things. And no greater percentage of them turned up here than of any other religion. Amusing, isn't it?

"'Better to rule in hell, than serve in heaven.' Eh, little brother-killer?" "Suh-certainly, Lord Lucifer. Whatever you say, Lord Lucifer." "We didn't say it. Milton said it. And he was blind."

"I'm the amazing Cain. If you enjoyed our show, tell your friends. If you didn't, I trust you get throat cancer and die without ever again uttering another word. Goodnight."

The state of his bathroom— I'm not one to gossip, but there are things crusted on his sink that have not simply developed intelligent life but have in all probability by now evolved their own political systems.

Nobody died. How can you kill an idea? How can you kill the personification of an action?

Why was I using Cain quotes in the first place?
Probably because I DL'ed the entire Sandman collection and spent a weekend reading all the extras.

Especially The Dreaming, which was wonderful and totally in the tradition of the Sandman series. I loved it, even when it made me upset about certain things that happened.

So yeah. xD Overall, though, the good stuff (Lots of Cain & Abel, the Corinthian, and there's even a story just for Mervyn) outweighed the few complaints I had. Well, just the one, which is in white in my previous post.

Or were you curious as to why I was using Cain quotes for Jackyl's journal?
