The ..... royal family has ruled over the pride since it was first formed. The first ruler of the pride is said to be the offspring of the first priests, though legend doesn't say which, nor which ruler (king or queen) was the offspring. Since then, however, the bloodline has continued throughout the years. Sometimes one of the active priests will step in as consort to create heirs if for some reason the need arises. The current ruler is Kauta, and once again there is reason for a consort, both in the literal and the figurative sense. There is no king for the pride at the moment, though there will soon be heirs to continue the bloodline.

Since ..... the pride's founding there has always been two seers born and living within the pride. From the very beginning these gifted lions or lionesses have ben given a duty to care for the pride's well being, help the royalty in making choices, and being familiar with Kiva, the goddess who has blessed the pride so greatly. They are responsible for upholding tradition and helping to ease the pride into change if the time comes. They are greatly trusted by members of the group and can usually offer good advice. The current two priests are Mteuli and Mteule. Mteuli tends to be the social support for everyone, offering kind words and genuine understanding. Mteule is good at keeping order and can always be looked to for solving a problem or getting information.

There ..... are many fully grown adults within the pride that don't have a specific rank. Apart from being classified as either being of earth, sky, or both there isn't a whole lot of specific titles within the group. Apart from priests and royalty, other jobs are almost self assigned. Any lions or lionesses choose to do what they enjoy, though they are expected to help in some way to ensure the well being of the group. There are lions accepted from all sorts of origins, from those who were drawn to the pride's peaceful nature to those who were of the old blood and stayed to bring it back to new life.

Description: Kifijo has a rather large sense of humor, which makes him very fun to be around. Kif tends to crack jokes to lighten the mood, or just to see someone smile. When he first met Tana, he couldn't help but joke around her. He continues to do so with his cubs and close friends. He has an easy-going nature, but will get protective extremely fast. He loves his cubs and mate more than life itself, and would do anything for them. Because he never knew his parents, nor does he know of any siblings, family is the most important thing to Kif. Kifijo left his home early on, becoming a wanderer at an early age and fending for himself. Because of this, because of his lack of family time, he spends all the time he possibly can with his family. He doesn't want them to grow up without one, like he did.

She has recently taken Kifijo as her mate, and together they've produced two handsome sons and one beautiful daughter. They are currently residing outside of the pride.

Description: The embodiment of the stoner surfer bum, Ali'ikai is calm and easy-going. As his name suggests, Ali is much like the water that is so much a part of his heritage, calm and rolling like the gentle waves, following the current as it carries him, taking whatever happens as it comes. Kind and undiscriminating, always willing to share with others, Ali is a responsible pridemember despite his somewhat questionable habbits. Description: When she and her litter were born, Chamiyu was thought to be stillborn, unmoving with unblinking eyes. So, in result of that mistake, she was left alone in a cave until she woke up. Aferwards, she crawled and meweled, drinking from what little water in the cave and eating whatever rodent wandered into her presence. There, she taught herself everything she knows know by observing others from a distance. She excelled in herbology, out of all things, and knows a lot about plants and their uses. After a lot of self persuasion, she left the cave and began to wander the border of the pridelands. It was then that she was discovered by Mteuli, alone in the rain, and it was decided that she'd be taken back to the valley to have a home at last. It was also during that journey that she and Mteuli fell in love.
Chamiyu's a gentle, kind, caring lioness who likes to have fun and relax. She's uncertain about things at first, but then afterwards she's as sure as rain. When she has to work, she's spot on it and will not quit for anything, especially with helping others.

Description: Kichea can be really spontaneous and her emotions can swing sometimes. She used to be a wandering rouge, quite stubborn and almost arrogant a lot of the time. She doesn't like to talk about what happened during those times, except to Riku, who was there and already knows. Her hard past can be visibly seen on the deep scar of three V's on her thigh. Now a mother of two cubs she has changed even more, keeping busy by trying to be the best mother she can for them and making sure they feel loved by her, like how she wished her mother had for her.

Among ..... the pride there are plenty of young being raised by the caring adults. Many of them are children birthed within the pride's lands themselves though some were brought to live there at a later date. Those young in age are looked upon with great care by the rest of the pride. Even if unrelated others will be open to assist and nuture any young ones that require it.

Description: A little overbearing and bright eyed for all of his blindness, Paki would much rather be running around like a maniac with his siblings than be curled up beside his mother like everyone says he should be. With a simple tilt of his head and a brace of his front legs, the broad-chested cub can glare in the general direction of whoever irritated him and get them to shut up with ease. Not ..... all those of the pride remain in the lands, however. Some lions and lioness chose to leave and travel to other distant lands. Many have done so with little word to the rest of the pride, which makes them sorely missed. Those who did leave with a word to the others are missed still, though the pride knows they ar doing what they wish to be happy with life. Those gone will always be welcome back, but for now they are out of the pride's reach and influence and a most likely living happy lives elsewhere.

Moyo is giving, nurturing, and will help an abandoned cub in an instant, just like her mother. Moyo grew up in a small cave with her family of two parents and two older brothers. Kifijo would often take her and her sibs out to practice hunting; that was her favorite time of day. Though ..... the pride traditionally worships a trinity of Kiva, Earth, and Sky, recently the Pride has had three new immortal additions. They help protect these young godlings just as they would their own cubs, and hopefully with time and guidance the godlings will return that kindness.

o2.23.o8. A Wedding/Coronation
You..... are recieving this PM because you are the owner of a member or two of Vinaya's family! She will be getting married to the Unity Walker heir, Upepo, on March 1st, 2008! We would very much love to see you there! There will be arrangements to handle the IC invitation, but we wanted to know if your character would be able to make it to the ceremony even if you don't have the time to RP it out. Please send an R.S.V.P. (Hee hee) back to the mule account with the number of attendants!
When: March 1st, 2008 [Slight posting order required!]
Where: The shore of Kiva's shrine [See Map]
Hosts: Kauta [Queen], Mteuli [Ardhi'Mtwaa/Ambassador], Mteule [Mbingu'Mtwaa/Advisor],
What: The following is the order in which things will take place:
1.] The Gathering... In which all of the pride-members will come together as the sun rises on the horizon. Early arrivals are fine, but please be on time.
2.] The Wedding... Self explanatory: Upepo and Vinaya are engaged to be wed. Before they can unite as King and Queen of the Unity Walkers, they must unite as life mates in hopes of ensuring a prosperous and well matched leadership for the years to come. [Performed by the twin priests]
3.] The Coronation... Immediately following the wedding ceremony, the two will be crowned as King and Queen, and a blessing spoken for their rein and future children.
4.] The Feast/Socializing... This more or less goes hand in hand with the usual feasting. This is the point when, just before the eating begins, all members not previously familiar with the rest of the pride (and vice versa) will be introduced to the family as a whole. After this, everyone will know everyone by name, that's why attendance is so vital for this event. At anytime during the feast and after pride members are encouraged to greet and talk with one another. Children play, adults talk, a time to enjoy one another's company.
5.] The Tribute... As the evening winds down the twins (the priests) will call for attention. At this time an offering will be prepared for Kiva and the pride gives their thanks for the blessings of new leadership and pray again for the continued safety of the pride. All individual RP's should be wrapped up by this point and we will auto-write the rest so there's no need for unwanted closing posts (they'll be optional). The offering is sent out into the lake and a moment of silent prayer is observed. After this the pride will say their goodnights and most wander off for sleep. Some may choose to stay behind to clean up after the festivities (carcasses will be disposed of, one of the twins later on retrieves the offering plate, delivering it's contents to the shore of the shrine, etc.).
Anyone with a hunter's status is encouraged to speak with ____ (the head hunter) to prepare for the event. Nannies will be asked to help look after the little ones to be sure none wander off while the parents are busy speaking, as well as to ensure that they each find their parents at the end of the night.
