Brown orbs traveled over everything in their current path. Here in the rogue territory Gharadi could roll around in teh dirt, swat at passing bugs and have fun, a little time away from mom was always a good thing when he felt like he was suffocated by her love. Don't get Gharadi wrong, he loved Sehani (his mom) with all his heart. But he wanted to be a big rugged male with a mane to be proud of.

But mom always; bathed him and lectured him on what was right and what was wrong. Gharadi just wanted to get away and have some fun today!

Gharadi padded along. His brownish orange pelt gleaming from the sun, it was quite hot out. But from the passing rains little pools of water had gathered up in a few chosen spots on the savanah. He visited them frequently, but made sure to keep close to where his mother was resting. He noted that his mom liked to sun-bath and fall asleep on the warm ground beneath their feet.

But Gharadi wanted action!

Here he was. A cub that was determined as ever to be the strongest and best he could be. To grow a mane that any female would swoon over. Only problem was he hadn't seen many cubs, let alone lions since he and his mother began traveling. Perhaps today would bring about someone, perhaps someone to cross paths with.

Yes, that would be all too perfect.

The afternoon sun loomed within the sky, casting its rays upon the ground while the heat still scorched the plains with a dry effect. Though the rains had come, there was little green within the surroundings yet, to a lions advantage, it made wonders for stealth and hunting. Lisani trodded through the tall grass, ears twitching and swiveling backwards as his ocher orbs meandered about.

"Well, this can't be the pridelands so...I guess is the outskirts by the rouge's domain," he muttered to himself, brows knitting with thought as his maw curled with a small smile. "Can't be too far away..."

Well, it wouldn't take long to pass through and to return back towards the Unity Walkers territory and he'd most likely be back before sunset. Besides, he intended to return late tonight and to once again visit Kiva and the cubs. How he adored his mate! And he didn't want to keep her waiting too long tonight either.

But, for now, he had time.

Casually drifting through the tall grass, Ororo'Lisani chuckled to himself as he continued on his way.

Gharadi continued along. Musing to himself in his mind of what he'd do when he was older. So many stories he's heard of lion and cheetahs and leopards mating with eachother (though he still didn't really understand what the word 'mate' meant) and of lions with wings. He really wanted to meet one of these winged lions, perhaps they could help Gharadi learn how to fly.

Gharadi dreampt of flying.

He wanted to sore among the clouds, take down the biggest pray, impress the ladies no doubt, and be a fine son to his mother. Currently he really wasn't watching where he was going. Soon engouh he was crashing into the rather large legs of some white and pale pelted lion.

He flopped onto his back and quickly got up, fixing his posture and making sure his mane was just right. He wanted his mane to grow more though. A manly lion was nothing wihout his grand mane, that he knew. But there was something else male lions could do that Gharadi had yet to accomplish;

Successfully hunt.

How proud would his mother be if he came home with a kill for her! Surely she would shower him in compliments and perhaps call him her 'lil man.' Being her son was good, but he wanted to make her proud.

Snapping back to reality Gharadi bowed his head and apologized,
"I'm sorry...I wasn't watching where I was going..." he raised his head and his gaze fell upon the grand lion before him,
"I'm Gharadi, who're you?"

Kiva, Kiva, Kiva.

That was the only thing on his mind at the moment. Each night he always had something to look forward to, he always became anxious to see his mate again and to be with her. Though Kiamba had no idea that he and the godess were entwined in such affection and passion between them, Ororo was only concerned with making his mate happy and content.

While his mind perused within the single thought, his legs collided with a small furry object before him. Stumbling back a few steps as he gasped slightly with being caught off guard, Ororo tilted his head slightly and peered down towards a small male lion cub.

The adolescent smiled warmly and shook his head. "There's no need for an apology," he laughed softly with a lighthearted manner. "Gharadi...nice to meet you. I'm Ororo'Lisani."

As his mane whisped about him, Lisani shifted his weight from his two forepaws and settled down upon his haunches.

Why was a cub roaming alone? It seemed all too common these days, which was very sad, but it seemed that life always dealt a series of unfortunate events to countless souls.

"Why are you out here alone?" He questioned as his brows knitted with slight perplexion.

Gharadi smiled up at Ororo, he seemed nice enough. But Ororo had seemed to be lost in thought as well, perhaps all lions were dreaming during this part of the day? It seemed so, Gharadi loved to dream, he would dream every chance he got.
"Ororo'Lisani...I like the name...may I call you Ororo for short?" Gharadi asked. Ororo seemed to fit the lions personality quite well. Gharadi hoped he would let him shorten it.

Unknown to Ororo, Gharadi knew he had a bad time with remembering names too.

"Out here alone? No. My mother is nearby that way," Gharadi said pointing with a paw. Then settling it back down he smiled up at Ororo, "I just wanted to explore a little on my own. Try to find something to 'practice hunt' with. I want to show my mom I am getting bigger and stronger, I want to make her proud you know?" Gharadi said. He wondered what others Ororo had crossed paths with. He seemed like a lion who knew where he was going.

"What about you? Why are you out here all alone? Are you heading somewhere?"

A warm smile curled upon the adolescents maw as he swayed his tail in a nonchalant manner, ocher orbs settling upon the small cub with a curious interest. Ororo alwayed loved interacting and being around cubs and, as long as he had been around with Kiva and her little cubs, he sought to become a more well rounded fatherly figure and get to know the ropes a bit better. Perhaps to some he seemed a bit too anxious and routed on dreams and ideas but, simply, Lisani was just a big softie.

As the small cub pointed in the direction where his mother resided, the adolescent tilted his head and glanced in the direction as he nodded his head. "Ah, I see," he mused with a soft laugh. "I know the feeling; When you just want to prove people wrong, prove them wrong about your strength and...just prove to yourself that you're better than that."

Oh, Ororo knew all too well.

His brother, Kiamba, had always unceasingly taunted him in games of strength and sheer brawns. Unfortunately Ororo had not been blessed with brawns nor an unfathomable strength for he was blessed with a keen mind, reason, an elegant tongue of speech and, of course, his tender heart who took up courage when a situation called upon a hidden hero; when bravery was needed and a streak of raw power necessary to conjure up.

But that was a rare occurance to ever see presented in Ororo's body language or personality.

Black striped ears flickered as the adolescent shifted his forepaws and drew his gaze far into the distance, far where the valley settled and where his pride, the Unity Walkers resided.

"I'm just passin' through," he replied as he drew his gaze back towards the cub. "Well-- I'm waiting to return by nightfall so I can visit my mate and her cubs."

Ghardi listened to Ororo and nodded. Understandable. But why wait until nightfall to go see his mate? And he had cubs! That was so cool. Gharadi already knew he wanted to have a family when he was older,
"Why do you have to wait until its dark to see her? What do your cubs look like? What does she look like?"

He was curious.

He wanted to know everything, perhaps get insight on this situation so he could learn and possibly use something to his benefit (in a good way) in the future."Where do you live with them? What is she like? DO your cubs look like the both of you?" Gharadi tilted his head while he asked the questions. So many questions and answers with so little time, for Gharadi knew his mother would be waking soon adn looking for him. Gharadi didn't want to be too far away either.

His maw opened slightly, brows knitted as he tried to find a way best to explain his situation. "Well-- you see, my pride doesn't know that my mate and I are actually together and I'm afraid that my brother might hurt my mate because of jealousy. It's not the right time to let others know that we're together just yet."

With the next two questions, Ororo grinned and flicked his tail to the side. "Well," lowering his head low to his ear, the adolescent whispered softly, "she is a godess. The most ravashing, breathtaking winged lioness whose eyes sparkle like priceless jewels and whose voice is as soothing as any voice you've heard." Slinking onto his stomach, Lisani flopped onto his side and softly sighed.

"As for the cubs, they are another males but...well-- that happened before we had really become mates it was more in a testing time. But I'll still take care of them as best I can," he smiled as he crossed his forepaws. "They don't look like me but I figure sooner or later we'll have our own family."

He was being so open with a small cub...it was a weird experience yet, at the same time, he didn't mind it much. He only hoped that he was speaking in a manner that was easy to follow and wasn't bothering the young cub.

"We live behind a waterfall, in a small cave. It's a secert place," he chuckled softly.

Everything seemed complicated. He loved his mate but her cubs were someones else's, but what caught Gharadi's attention was her description, and saying she was a goddess, with wings.
"So she can fly?" he asked, laying down and watching Ororo intently Gharadi continued, "I wish I could fly...would be nice...then perhaps I could find someone..."

It wasn't that Gharadi necessarily wanted a mate, he didn't even know what the definition of mate meant. He just wished he had a close friend that he could be with always, travel with, be best friends with. It wouldn't hurt either if it was a girl. Gharadi liked girls, even if he was so young. Gharadi didn't have many friends, but he liked the idea of having a friend who was a girl who he could protect that liked him...it would be nice.

"How did you two meet Ororo?" Gharadi was interested in that. Perhaps he might meet someone the same way.

"Yes! She can fly and so can her cubs. If only I could fly too...being grounded only lasts so long until your heart wants to take wing into the skies." Oh, to fly! To feel the wind caress against his body and to pummel through cirrus clouds high above the air. "You're not alone in that wish," he mused with a small grin.

His brows knitted once again, deep with thought as he recollected his past. "Well," he began as he closed his eyes for a few moments," I met her when I was just a cub. Kiva, my mate, is the godess of Unity and rules over our pride, the Unity Walkers, so she was somewhat familiar with my and my two brothers. I guess our love for each other became more defined by the time we spend with one another and coming to understand one another. For her, I'd sacrifice everything and give my life for her."

Peering down towards Gharadi, Ororo chuckled softly as he placed a paw atop the cubs head and messed around with his fur.

"You'll find a girl someday, even when you least expect it."

He listened and sighed and mused the possibilities in his head. Gharadi didn't want just any girl, he wanted the perfect lioness to call his own. That would be his and only his, that he could protect, fight for, live for, die for. He was still so small but had so many wishes.
"It must've been nice...to meet her hen you were little...I haven't met any other cubs my own age...my mom and I well..." his eyes traveled in the direction his mother was, and Gharadi sighed.

"We've been traveling, can't meet many long lasting friends when you travel I guess...I don't know where we're going...and my mom well...she wants me to stay close by to her, and not run off..." he didn't mind Ororo messing with his mane, Sehani did it a lot to Gharadi. Bathing him when he could do it himself. He was growing up afterall.

"I hope we can find someplace to go...I don't want to meet others and never see them again..." he said trailing off. It was the truth, meeting Ororo was great, but Gharadi didn't want this one time to be the only time he saw Ororo. "Perhaps I could visit you someday ya?"

"When you roam around, you'll be able to see the whole plains and sooner or later you'll come across a nice lioness to call your own. Give it time, Gharadi, give it time. Your mom is probably just trying to find a place to fit into and even that takes time to adjust to. But just trust in her and help her through it," he smiled warmly as he slid his paws upon the top soil.

Nodding his head once again as a broad smile spread wide across his maw, Ororo lightheartedly laughed.

"Of course!" Raising a paw towards the horizion, he glanced towards Gharadi. "Just past the rouge lands, into the valley and by the lake where the waterfall is. You'll find me there," he chuckled softly.

"If you say so Ororo, I trust what you say," Gharadi smiled up at Ororo. It was really the first time Gharadi had made a friend by himself without his mother's help. Ororo was Gharadi's only friend at this point in the cub's life, he hoped to meet up again with Ororo one day.

But now it was getting late.

Gharadi made mental notes of where Ororo said to go, and he stood up and shook himself and pawed at his soon-to-be-mane and smiled at Ororo. Its getting a bit late, my mom will be looking for me soon, I don't want either of us in trouble..." he said as he smirked and his tail flicked once.

"It was great to meet you Ororo, our paths will cross again someday, I jsut know it, till then, be good to that girlie of yours, she sounds like a keeper," Gharadi said as he winked and turned t slowly pad off to where Sehani would soon be waking. This day turned out alright, Gharadi had made a friend.

"Just remember that it will happen when you least expect it," he grinned.

As the sun was already setting within the sky and descending down behind the mountains, Ororo slid upwards and staggered onto all fours. Stretching his forepaws outwards as he maw gaped open in a yawn, Lisani nodded his head. "No need to get in trouble because of a wanderer," he added as he began padding through the brush once again.

Looking back towards the young cub, Ororo'Lisani smiled warmly. "I'm sure we'll meet again." He couldn't help but chuckle and shake his head. Oh Gharadi! This cub certainly was most interesting and yet another young friend. "I will."

Turning back around and onto his path, Ororo set off into the distance to go back home to his pride and his mate, Kiva.
