Gharadi was out wandering on his own again away from his mom. He really wanted to get stronger and make her proud, but how could he do that if he just folowed her around all the time? He had to get out and explore, wander and learn new things! He had to be himself too, but also be a fine son to his mother. He loved his mother dearly, but sometimes Gharadi liked to get away on his own.
Sprawled out on the ground he was basking in the sun, out in the open not caring. He was in the rogue lands, but this time of day there were barely any others around, most were out hunting or being with their families or playing. Gharadi liked to relax, even though he'd rather be making friends then just laying below the sun.
He wondered if anything new would come along his way. He hoped so, it would be nice to meet someone new, to see a new face. Yes, Gharadi knew that would just be perfect. But what lion would come up to a cub his age and talk to him as an equal? Gharadi didn't know, but wished he knew of a lion that would. Gharadi liked talking, almost as much as he did dreaming.

Kajji rose like a shadow from the ground nearby, shaking the dust from his mane as he survayed the land around him. Dispite belonging to a pride, he still wandered like a rogue would. Blinking, he spotted a strange shape on the ground not far from him and decided to investigate it. Deep down Kajji had a funny feeling that it was a cub. Moving slowly towards it, he grinned it was a cub. Cocking his head slightly to one side, called out softly. " Hello there" His mismatched eyes where filled with curiousity as he approached the cub.

Gharadi heard something coming, one of his ears were pressed against the ground and he could hear the soft rumble large paws made on the ground. Hearing a voice Gharadi sat himself up, his brown eyes looking up at the mismatched eyes before him. A great black figure with interesting markings upon his back.
He smiled.
Never before had Gharadi seen such a lion, and he was glad that the lion appeared to be friendly,
"Hello..." he said softly, sitting before the black lion with ease,
"I'm Gharadi, who're you? I like you markings," he said pointing with his right paw at the markings that seemed to shimmer in the sunlight. This was just the thing Gharadi wanted to make his day interesting, meeting an interesting lion.

"It is a pleasure to meet you Gharadi, I'm Kajji" With that Kajji paused, studying the young cub quietly for a moment. Wondering just why he was all alone out here. He knew what happened to cubs that had to fend for himself, like he had to. "Where is your mother Gharadi?"

"Kajji..." Inari said. Interesting name choice, but it flowed off the tongue quite nice, "Nice to meet Kajji as well. My mother is that way," Gharadi said pointing with his paw. "She's resting in teh sun, we've been traveling..." Gharadi explained. He and his mother moved from where they were before, but it was nice to be with his mom out here. It was different, and gave Gharadi a chance to explore and be a good son for his mother.
"Are you traveling too Kajji?" Gharadi asked curiously. Perhaps Kajji was a traveler too, perhaps he had been to interesting places Gharadi had yet to see.

Listening to the young cub, Kajji couldn't help but like him. Grinning, he settled onto his hunches lightly. " Indeed I am traveling" Hearing where his mother was, Kajji relaxed slightly. Knowing that Gharadi wouldn't have the same fate that he had.

"Where are you headed Kajji?" Gharadi asked curiously. Kajji seemed interesting, and more so Gharadi loved his pelt color, the way his symbols upon his back shined so much gave Gharadi amusement. "Is it fun traveling by yourself?" Gharadi wanted to know, in case he ever traveled by himself, Gharadi wanted to know if it was a good idea or not.

"I'm...I'm heading no where in particular and it is sometimes rather fun to travel alone" Kajji spoke quietly, remembering a time when he hadn't been alone. He had had Tomo for a while and then Umo. But like all that he encountered they too left him.

"My mom and I are traveling, I don't know where we're going either..." Gharadi stopped short, had he already said that? He scratched his head with his paw, and he cursed his bad memory. "So it is fun? Where have you been? Have you seen cool things?" Gharadi asked, eyes aching with anticipation, Gharadi wanted to know so much, but also didn't want to annoy Kajji or spend too much time away from Sehani, surely she'd be angry if he was late getting back to her.

Kajji chuckled softly at the young cub's ethusiasim. "I've been to the far desert and the swamp lands and all the places between. I once faught a pack of hyena's as a cub not much older then you." His eyes grew distant as he remembered the hard times he had faced.

Gharadi's eyes widened as he listened. Kajji was so cool! He pawed at the ground in front of him and stayed focused though, even though he could already feel the nagging of his mother upon his shoulders he wanted to hear just even a little more, "Really?! Wow, you must be really strong then!" Gharadi stated with a smile. "How did you get so strong? Did you do anything special?"

Kajji's chuckle turned into a full blow laugh as he listened to the cub. Grinning, he smiled down at him fondly. Hoping that one day he would find a mate and have cubs. " I'm not that strong, I'm all fluff. However if you wish to be strong, then I'd advise that you make sure to eat enough each day and mind your mother."

Gharadi smiled at Kajji's statement of him being all fluff, he seemed like a nice lion, Gharadi was glad to have come across his path today. What he said about getting strong was true, "Alright, I'll try...and I really should...I do love my mom afterall...I want to get big and strong so she can be proud so I can protect her if I ever needed too and such..." With that thought Gharadi turned his head in the direction Sehani was resting, "I should probably go soon, so she does not worry," turning his gaze back upon Kajji Gharadi smiled, flicking his tail to the side.
"I'm glad I met you today Kajji, I hope our paths cross again sometime, sadly now I must go find my mother, perhaps our traveling will bring us to the same place once more," with that Gharadi turned and began padding off slowly in the direction of his mom. A smile upon his face, yes, he would remember Kajji's words, and hopefully see him again as well.

Kajji watched as the young cub padded off into the fading light. He remained where he was, though his gaze shifted to the darkening sky and it's stars. Silently Kajji prayed that Gharadi would grow up to be strong and he vowed that if that cub ever needed him, he would be there to save him.
