Any one here who plays in a band? If so, what kind of band?
Does your band have a website??
I have a band myself, Where I am the lead singer(Growler)... Were kind of influenced by SlipKnoT cuz' everyone in the band are total maggots, but we are trying to find an own sound... Though most people would say, if I told what instruments we have in the band that is, that were just copycating SlipKnoT, but were not, we have an total different sound... Just cuz' we have a Custom percusionist and a Dj that dosn't mean were just like SlipKnoT.... Any ways, tell me about your band, and if you can provide a way to listen to anything from your band then please do ^^

I've been in a band ever since 2000. We all met in high school our FROSH year in English all of us had the same tastes in music and we all wanted to create it at first to win the talent show but it became so much more. After we won the talent show, we released our first EP to the students because they liked what they heard. We tittled the EP "Sorrow Cries Eternally" and what we play is pure Cannibal Corpse style DEATH metal with some added influences from HATEBREED and His Infernal Majesty. Originally the lineup was as follows:
BloodLust (when first formed)
False GOD - Lead vocals
Serial Rapist - Lead guitars, backing vocals
Messiah of CHAOS - Guitars, acoustic guitars, backing vocals
Nightmare Kreator - Bass
Facelesskiller - Drums, precussions
Later the band's name was changed so was the line up because both False GOD and Nightmare Kreator left the band cause they got too much of an ego and wanted bigger things.
Demon's Roar (as of 2001)
Facelesskiller - Lead vocals, backing guitars
Serial Rapist - Lead guitars, backing vocals
Messiah of CHAOS - Guitars, acoustic guitars, backing vocals
Doom Juggernaut - Bass
Sadistic Hunter - Drums, precussions
All of our songs and albums have been self releases because we are still an unsigned underground band. We are currently working on our 5th full length album.

I've partially set-up a band, but it'll collapse when I move later this year. At the moment all we need is a drummer. We lost ours because he wasn't interested anymore.
I played melody on guitar, our bassist was our vocalist, we had a second guitarist and a drummer. we just used our nicknames so their kinda pathetic names. We were called...Happy Insanity
Teh sex (Rhea)-bass & vocals
Mole (Ilesha)-drums
Baby (Tawny)-Lead guitar
Doodle (me)-Backing guitar
I tended to do most of the lyrics, the others put it to music.
One song I wrote, it got called what I was:

It's very much centered on the same bands as I'm the only one who listens to remotely different music. The others are influences by Marilyn Manson, Cradle and so on. I listen to bands like The Rasmus and Crimson Moonlight.

Eh. I was thinking about starting up a band, and there's a few people that I know who play insturments who I've asked if they were interested. One guy who I wanted to be our bassist denied it because he's into making music for money. A good friend of mine who was in a local band here in Vegas called In Death's Hands was vocals. The guy sounds like Randy Blythe from Lamb Of God and also has a similar sound to George Fisher from Cannibal Corpse. If you've got a MySpace, search for In Death's Hands. If they haven't taken the s**t down with the original vocalist, you'll hear what I mean.
But yeah, so far the band that I'd like to start up is only me on drums and my friend on piano and samples, s**t like that. The sound I wanna go for is something similar to Chimaira, Killswitch Engage, Slipknot, Demon Hunter and Lamb Of God. Hah. High hopes for a drummer whose only been drumming for nearly four months. XD

The original name of the band that I wanted to start was Warway. Then a friend of mine came up with a name, which is Killed By Name. But we don't have any real musical skills, although I feel that I can write halfway decent lyrics. XD
