~Marakathos' Guide~
Tip 1OOC ModePeople tend to have problems here.... For instance, before I was really litterate, I lost a friend because she thought I was OOC when I was in character.... Because I never used anything but a single line to show I was OOC, she thought I was getting pissed at her, when I had smiply switched to my other character and my character was mad at hers....
Tip 2PunctuationPunctuation is key! If you neglect it, you can make a very interesting post, into a train wreck.... It changes emotions, shows fear stress.... Take this example.
Naruto was ticked off about Orochimaru takeing over Sasukes body. He had spent hours screaming at nothing. Then he felt hopless. He gave up.
Now let's try that with some punctuation....
Naruto was ticked off! Orochimaru had taken over Sasukes body! Naruto had spent hours, just screaming at nothing, confused about all of this. Though, after time, he began to feel hopeless, and he slowly gave up hope....
If you use the punctuation, you get your point across better, and the words you use can have more fluidity....
Tip 3Multiple CharactersHaveing multiple characters is not only really complicated personality wise, but if you do not have anything but a name somewhere in the paragraph to signify which you are, it get's hard to keep up with you, or others. One way, which is not to encouraged, is haveing a few lines between each character.... Another way, that is widely used, and makes alot more sense, is the color scheme.... Useing blue for one character, red for another, and green for yet another, does make it easier to understand which is which. Though, haveing multiple characters is not for everyone, and being litterate is a must, as well as being extremely imaginative.
