In this arid landscape of a sky as blue as turquoise, reddish rocks, greyish boulders and sun-gilded sand, you may find giant cacti shaped oddly like spiky multiple layered, many petaled flowers, colored vividly in streaks of orange, red and magenta, deepening to purples.

You may also find strange, striated formations like monoliths, as if ancient peoples used them for hide and seek, polished pebbles littering the floors of great canyon-like formations.

At night, it is icy cold, and the sky darkens to deepest lapis lazuli.
During the day, the heat stifles, burns skin, boils blood... unless you know how best to hide from the heat.

The dunes shift, and change, hiding landmarks and revealing others...
and all you can do is go forward.

And, hiding among the golden dunes, behind every rock and cranny...are monsters.

If you are lucky, you may find ancient ruins with their shimerring treasures, preserved under sand...

If you are unlucky, you will fall prey to quicksand-like traps. Or the monsters.

Or you could just broil to death in the heat of the sun.

Choose your path well.
