As far as you can see, everything is grass.
Grasses of various types and shades, or flowers in a rainbow of colors.
Interspersed here and there are many vibrantly green and verdant foliage surrounded large water-holes where animals of all sorts come to drink and the ocassional clump of trees, either stick thin, or great-trunked and lacey-branched stick out like a sore thumb.
Except a very pretty, useful, sore thumb. You get the idea.
Amongst these plains travel the equines and nomads (sometimes a mix of both), with their brilliantly colored, intricately patterned tents that are as good as moving cities... which never stay too long in one place, changing direction and position once a month to make complete circuits of the plains.
In general they are scantily clad and promiscuous.
They also have very hot tempers. And odd customs.
And have a tendency to keep what they capture or defeat as slaves.
and if that wasn't bad enough, there are the grassland predators. @_@
Be very, very wary.

Usagi walked on the plains. He didn't bring his staff for he didn't think he was going to fight anything vicious. He was only trying this out for now and if need be then next time he would bring it. Walking further into the plains slowly, he glanced around being very cuatious and wary.

Demi walked in alone this time, and seeing Usagi, he called out to him as he rushed towards the bunny.

Lion trappers hunted the same area of the plains and right in front of where Usagi walked. The dry tall grass so common in the area lay over a pit they dug for the lions. Inside of that pit was a very hungry, very thirsty lioness left there to try and attack the lions. She was asleep right now but someone falling on her would awake her up. The pit is six foot deep.
Does Usagi..
1: Manage to miss the pit
2: Walk over it and fall straight in
3: Walk over it but manage grab the edge of pit to save himself from calling completely down
4: Hear someone calling him and pause

As Demi walks, abosolutly nothing happens. As of that moment, he was completely safe.

Usagi walked further in through the grass he didn't see nothing as of yet, but wondered if anything would attack him. He though had thought to soon. Walking straight over a pit he fell down, but managed to grip the edge of it. He thought he heard someone call his name, but wasn't sure. Holding onto the side for dear life he didn't want to fall in and get hurt by the lioness at the bottom.

The lioness was awakened, and exteremly angry, she lept up at his legs trying to get the tasty bunny into her claws. She snarled and growled angerly.
What will happen to Usagi?
1: Fall down in the hole
2: Get clawed by the lioness
3: Call out for help and get missed by the lioness
4: Pull himself half way up.
Roll a four sided dice to find out.

Usagi lost his gripping on the side of the hole and plummited to the bottom. Hitting his back against the ground he slowly got up and brushed himself off. "I'm going to die!" He yelped out as her heard the growling from the lioness, he turned around to face her not knowing what to do.

With Usagi dissappering into the hole. Usagi's only hope is the fox outside of the whole.
What will Demi do?
1: Rush over to see what happened to Usagi and fall in himself?
2: Come over to the hole and reach his hand down get Usagi out of the hole.
3: Use a branch to help pull Usagi up.

The lioness growled, pleased she had a tasty meal. She bunched up her muscels and lunged at the rabbit.
What does Usagi do?
1: Leap out of the way?
2: Try to run to the other end of the pit and get clawed
3: Scream for help and move to the side.
4: Try to jump for the top of the hole and make it, having his pant snaged by the lioness's claws.

Usagi lept out of the way of the hungry lioness. He wasn't about to get killed by something twice his size. He was curious to see what would happen next though it scared him a bit and wondered if someone would save him.

Demi rushed seeing his friend fall in the hole. Rushing over without thinking, he lunged forward in the hole, where the lioness and bunny were at. He felt stupid after doing that, as he stared at the lioness with wide eyes.

The lioness was now even angier, she had missed her target! The only thing that had made her day better was that now she had two to eat instead of just one. Her mouth nearly started to water, she was so hungry that her attacks were a bit sloppy as she once again lunged at Usagi
What will Usagi do?
1: Take the time to say something to Demi as he dodges the claws of the hungry beast?
2: Try to save Demi by getting behind the great cat and pulling her tail?
3: Get clawed because he cannot move fast enough?
4: Come up with a plan?
