Red, orange, gold and black..

The ground is black and crusted with cracks, so dry and hot it takes the moisture from your breath. The lava flows are unpredictable under your feet and around you...Glowing red and gold, flowing under bridges of natural black rock, and in front of you, so tall it is visible from even the too- distant tower, the great black volcano spits fire at the sky, darkening it for miles around, its mouth glowing golden red.

There are pits of lava and cooler caves hidden in the mountainous boulders of basalt, granite and obsidian scattered around the place...

The air itself may become poisonous to you... a water-type will most likely die within minutes.

Within this area, you may find many gems and precious metals of various kinds. But be warned, creatures that CAN survive in this arid wasteland do exist (mostly large reptiles) and they will attack you.

The black dragon female matched her surroundings just fine, her thick black skin shone dully in the light as her ruby red eyes glittered, black leathery wings like those of a bat folded neatly at her back. As she walked her armor shone and glittered, sparkling blood red as the light bounced off it, most likely drawing unwanted and un-needed attention, but she was a big girl and could take care of herself.
She tossed a long strand of onyx hair out of her face, red lips pursed lightly in a thin line, metal claws on her fingers glittering in the light by her sides. Though it was extremely hot her lack of clothing and overall thick skin helped it become more... bareable. After all, she wasn't worried. If she needed to she could always leave. She was only here for training, to get stronger, and maybe one day have a more... acceptable end to a rematch with Greed.

The German shepherd walked heavily, the heat making him feel as if his body was made of lead. Sweat drip down his fair skin, his red jacket was off, tied and hanging from his hips. The long slightly wavy brown hair shone copper under the sun. This was ridicules and he knew it. He was a writer, a poet even, not a warrior, what was he doing here. He stop walking and looked up, knowing too well the danger of the area, his ears perked up slightly, listening closely to the air. His mismatched eyes soon spotting a black dragon and the thought of running didn't cross his mind.

Shala'ia blinked about, lightly cracking the knuckes in her right hand before she spotted the other anthro. She tilted her head, lightly surprised, before a light smirk crossed her features.
She thought about, possibly, attacking the other anthro, but she knew she'd most likely get in trouble later for it. That, and such things weren't honorable. So she did the most honorable thing she could think of. The muscles in her legs tensed before she jumped, leathery wings opening smoothly before they caught the wind. She began to fly over to the german shepherd, slowly as to not startle him. Just in case.

The canine took a step back as the dragon flew towards him, but rather in amaze at her wings then being frighten or startle. His feet slowly came together again and he watched her, wondering for a moment if she was coming to him or leaving the place. None the less, he remind calm, watching her flight. Thought his ears still maintain alert.

She stopped a good two feet away from him, landing lightly on the ground as she folded her wings behind her. The smirk remained on her lips and she lightly crossed her arms.
"I did not expect to meet anyone else here." She couldn't help the tone of her voice, slightly surprised and slightly mocking, she just hadn't expected someone to be here. Let alone someone like Yami. "Are you lost? Or perhaps you're trying to prove a point?"

Yami crossed his arms behind his back, standing like a noble would. A gentlemen. "I have no point to prove to no one anywhere. Nor do I believe I am lost, after all, since when do wanderer's get lost?" He smile, his voice was calm and have no mockery in it, just a gentle explanation. He smiled a bit. "Thought I would had prefer to end up somewhere else, I think your flight just made it worth it." His mismatched eyes still looking at the wings, but they soon move on to her face.

She listened to the canine, a slime eyebrow arching lightly. She just kept running into the most... interesting of people. "That is true, though not all wanderers wander with no set destination in mind, just no set route or set time to get there." Though both eyebrows arched when he mentioned her flight. She couldn't help the slightly confused look that came into her eyes. "My flight? If that was all that was needed to make your arriving here worth it then what ever are you doing here?"

"Ah, but I am one without destiny, my wanderings are for my own amusement." He smiled gently still then tilted his head, for a moment looking at the landscape. "I guess I came here to learn about fighting. Or to get myself kill. One of the two. I hadn't really taken in count where I was going when I decided to do this."
PostPosted: Wed Jul 04, 2007 3:49 pm

"Well by the looks of you I'd opt for the former, as you would most likely get yourself killed without even trying." He looked around lightly, frowning. "You probably won't run into anything else that won't instantly try to kill you here..." She sighed weakly, uncrossing her arms and putting one hand on her hip, shaking her head. "I guess I'll wander with you. I'd feel guilty if you got ripped to shreds out here."

"You truly know how to make a person feel confident, don't you?" He shrugged. "I could always turn back the way I came and look for another Area to be in." He didn't seem all that offended about it, after all, he knew this place was probably over his head some times ago when the fire pits had started to appeared into view.

"I said I'd stay with you, didn't I?" She gave him a smirk, before nodding. "This is true. If you can get out as easily as you came in. And I don't plan on leaving, so you'd be on your own. Are you sure you want to risk it?"

An angry looking Grass Scorpion jumps out, tail waving, hissing at the two.

Yami was about to respond, thought the canine gave a small leap back at the sudden movement. His ears perked up at the hissing. "..." He felt a bit stupid of getting so easily scare by....a scorpion? He raised an eyebrow. "The temptation to throw my boot at it is immense....if it wasn't that the ground is probably hot enough to give me a second degree burn in my feet...." He was exaggerating about the second part, at least he hoped he was.

Shala'ia smirked, watching the German shepard jump from the appearence of the scoprion. She cracked her knuckles. "Don't worry, I can handle it." She moved a few steps in front of Yami, putting herself inbetween him and the grass scorpion. She stared down at it before charging, wings opening, claws outstretched as she swung her arm, aiming for the scoprion.
