I completed my Watase Yuu collection with this final story I was missing ^^ And my god is it short and sweet. Epotoransu! Mai is about Kurahashi Mai, and on her birthday she receives an electronic diary. In a one-sided love with her classmate Nimura Horoki she receives a fortune in her electronic dictionary that gives her hope for reaching him. However, one evening, Mai accidentally enters the word "epotoransu" into her diary and from within it the form of a handsome young man appears and turns Mai's love life upside down!
Great great story, I'm really happy to have finally gotten to read it. Has anyone else read this sweet story? What did you think of it if you did?

I downloaded the entire series off the internet ^^;;
It was surprisingly short, but a good story. The electronic diary was an interesting concept. I'd have to read it again to be able to discuss it more, but I liked it ^_^

It's not an anime >_> The only works of Watase-sensei's that have been animated are Fushigi Yuugi and Ayashi no Ceres. I don't know where to find scanslations or translations of it though, unfortunately ^^;;;

i loved Epotoransu! Mai it was great if it was longer it would be one of yuu watase;s greatest mangas but it;s only... 2 volumes crying i loved it but i wish Kurahashi Mai ended up with whats his name the electronic guy!! lolz!! whee

It didn't need to be any longer o_o And who says Watase Yuu's longest works are necessarily her best? That's silly if you ask me. I think her shortest works are probably her best. I like that Mai ended up with the boy she's had a crush on all along. That's how it's supposed to be ^^ Takuma was great but he knew he was falling into a one-sided love to begin with.

I've only heard of it through summaries... very VAGUE summaries. I really want to read it. Tell me about it @_@ My god I was lucky enough to be in Japan when I got all of Ayashi no Ceres, and thankfully Fushigi Yuugi was re-released and condensed. But yea... not only do I buy the Japanese but I buy the English releases as well. Gotta have them for my friends to borrow. But boy does it kill one's wallet.

That is definitely a good idea to do. ^^ I have heard foreign often times does wind up cheaper than the translations anyhow.
Anyhow about the title, I do look forward to seeing translations of it in the future, as well as the other titles. I think the length will also be quite to my liking. I've decided that once I finish FY, that's all I want to go for. Thirteen- eighteen volumes, not including the Perfect World/ Genbu Kaiden, is a bit too much to collect and tends to lag at times. Anyhow, another love triangle? Definitely can't miss out on this one. ^^

It seems like the shorter series never get licensed, which is really too bad. I'm rereading Epotrance Mai right now... it's such a cute story. I just finished reading another shoujo manga involving soccer... heh ^^;;

I read both volumes and that was good series. I say it would a good thing it was short it was good as a short series. I love the characters. I really like the hero and I love the electric product guy. (I am half asleep I don't know the names I will when I wake up sweatdrop )

xd heart heart heart i read all of it last night at midnight!!! xd i was planning on just reading the first chapter and taking it day by day but as we all know watase-sama's stories are all too addicting xp
i HATE that takuma had gotten broken and left all alone (and yes, even though kate went to the world with him i still say he should've never gotten broken in the first place stare ) actually...i think this is the first time i liked the guy ho doesnt get the girl more than the guy who does in watase's manga sweatdrop its just that takuma's too great for some strange reason whee lol
someone...needs...to publish this beautiful piece of literature!!! gonk when i finished it i wondered why someone hadn't already...but the story overall was great 3nodding oh, i read pajama de ojama too (finally) that was cute heart i wish my freakin printer worked though stressed then i wouldnt have to turn on my computer just to read some good manga sweatdrop i didnt save epotoransu mai to my computer though crying there were just too many pages and i couldnt find it on winzip stressed the scanlation i read was from a photobucket file...i saved some of the parts i though most memorbale though so i hope thats enough to satisfy me (ah ha, yea right xp )
ok, thats the end of my obsessive babbling heart
