I like knuckles. Like how he can climb walls and such in some versions. domokun
I also think Shadow was pretty cool, but he came sorta late...but is still cool.

Tails.
I have a "thing" for foxes in the first place, but he's a cute little guy. And I think that people can relate a lot more to a smart, shy character in the shadow of cooler-than-thou friends than to the strong or trendy types.
The same goes for Cream. She's got a sweet, pacifistic nature that's totally different from anyone else in the canon - it makes a change to see a character with that focus.
And to me, she's the only character who gives Tails a run for his money in the cute stakes. wink
