My favorite song is....
...past the point of no return
  ...notes
  ...masquerade
...wishing you were somehow here again
  ...angel of music
  ...the phantom of the opera
  ...the music of the night
  ...think of me
  ...all I ask of you
  ...another song not mentioned above

My favorite is 'Why Have You Brought Me Here?'.

Well, maybe the Broadway 'Wandering Child' scene, I love it a lot more than the movie version- both because Raoul did NOT beat Erik in any way shape or form!! 'oh, Raoul, show mercy!' my a**! And Raoul sat behind and watched as he had in the book- it was more true to the story, and a more interesting scene alltogether.

So I think my favorite is "Why Have You Brought Me Here?", simply because I'm judging it by the music, not the scene itself. xP

All of it's good (as long as you wear ear-plugs for whiney, damned Raoul!) but I suppose my favourite cut is at the end of The Point Of No Return, where Erik (not called Erik in the film) sings

"Say you'll share with me,
one love, one lifetime...." etc

He uses Raoul's song to try and win Christine (Raoul was lying when he sang it!!!! THAT'S A FACT, SO ACCEPT IT!!!!) but I suppose I love it because that's how I feel alot of the time. I'm a very romantic guy!

Also 'Stranger Than You Dreampt It' because I know how Erik feels to be a "loathesome gargoyle" and a "repulsive carcass". I'm not a Brad Pitt of the world so I sympathise with "poor Erik" (A quote from the book there!)

My favorite is probably the movie song "The Mirror" (variation on Angel of Music, if you'd forgotten.) I dunno why, it just... is.

Second favorite is a tie between the Overture & Masquerade.

Haven't seen anything besides the movie, so all this will probably change over time...

I'm really interested in PHantom of the Opera and Past the Point of No Return. I seem to be singing the lyrics of those songs when I'm walking to the supermarket. xd

I love The Point of No Return (I believe that is the actual name of the song, but I may be wrong; that is what it says in the back of the Crawford/Brightman/Barton CD case). It is totally dramatic and, dare I say it, SMEXY. Well, for Broadway, anyway.

I also love Angel of Music/The Mirror because I love Meg and there's a bunch of dry ice stuff when Erik shows up. XD

And--I will be beaten up for this--I also like 'All I Ask of You'. Note: I said like, not love. I simply don't despise Raoul as much as most Phantom phans. Raoul did not steal Christine; she went with him of her own accord. It is Christine's fault for being so undecisive...and when she did finally make the decision, she made the wrong one. Raoul is not to blame here; Christine's stupidity is.

...*someone obviously doesn't like Christine much* XD

I agree, though Raoul and Christine in the end are a more understandable match. Erik needed someone more secluded and passionate. Christine wanted someone naive and schoolboy fawny.

My favorite poto Broadway song is 'Masquerade', followed by 'Down Once More'. My favorite Movie song is 'Point of No Return' followed by 'Down Once More'. Down once more is *somehow* #2 in both, mostly because *sheepishly* Raoul has the punjo around his neck. I always change the song right after Christine kisses Erik in both songs, I hate when she denies and betrays him. My BY FAR, hated song in both productions was All I Ask Of You, since Raoul is one of the stars in it, and he kisses Christine. HATE IT!

You made me choose, I love all of them equally, because they are all ingenious! And I can't spell! But I can play the piano, which is how I first came to the phantom of the opera! I just can't decide....

I like them all except for All I ask of you (clap all you a.i.a.o.y haters)

I think if the phantom (erik) had kept his mask on, I would have marrried him razz
