First, his subforum looks so empty...
So I made this about his mad bass playing abilities
I think he's probably better than 95 percent of the rest of bass players... I wonder of he can play the other guitars as well

This subforum is disappointing me. It's probably empty because we talking so much about him over at the main forum.
I love his playing and his style. He is my favorite bass player and I think he's better than everybody (and that's not me being biased). On the All That Rocks performance of ATTACK he has a slightly brief but beautiful bass solo. I flip out everytime I see it because I can hardly hear the bass on the CD version of the song. I love the way he holds it and his playing style is like nothing I've seen. He's a very unique and talented player.
I'm gushing too much...
During acoustic performances Mattie plays guitar.

Gushing is good. Especially about our Mattie,.
I have watched that part of ALl That Rocks maybe 100 times minimum. I have a fadcination with bass lines. Don't ask me why because I have no earthly idea.
I've only seen Tomo and Jared play in acoustic performances.

True about the gushing. I heart Mattie!
My friend and I always find time to watch it when she comes over and I watch it constantly when there's nothing on TV or whenever actually. I could watch that constantly for a whole week. Just replaying it and replaying it.
I've seen a few clips where the whole band is and Matt's playing acoustic guitar. I'm gonna go find a picture.

Well I noticed he has an even bigger bass solo in A Beautiful Lie, right after the 15 measure long rest durign the bridge, he sort of scrape picks it for a measure, then goes into the verse line until it goes into the breakdown. This is right before he goes into the:
so beautiful, beautiful...
so beautiful, beautiful...
so beautiful, beautiful...
so beautiful, beautiful...
and the last chorus.
Oh, and I have seen him playing acoustic guitar, but I suspect this is around the time the "Attack" video came out, because Jared's Hair is short in both of them.
Oh, and after hearing it, the scrape pick I was thinking about sounds like a squeak, so listen for that.
