Brayden beat at the path to the tunnel, Caliga helping when she would by slashing at the underbrush. "This must not be a popular path..." he mumbled, shaking his arm to repel the vine that had latched onto it.

Soon the dark tunnel entrance was within sight, and Brayden let down his backpack for a moment, withdrawing a Pokeball from his belt.

"Hey, Ichimaru, care to help us out?" he called, sending out the Abra. "We need to use Flash to get through here, so I figure you'd be our best candidate."

The Abra hovered for a moment mid-air using his powers, before he settled to the ground, considering the proposition. "Abraaaaa..." he hissed, shrugging.

"Well, I suppose I'll take that as a yes..." Brayden sighed. "You certainly aren't too agreeable, now, are you?"

The Abra sniffed, disdainfully, as if the question was obvious. Which, in all likelihood, really was. Concentrating for a moment, the Abra bent the light around his outstretched hand, collecting the energy with his powers. After a brief moment of concentration, the Abra then released the energy creating a blinding flash of light that was very noticeable, even in the daylight outside the cave.

Brayden couldn't help letting out a cry as the blinding flash was released in his face, stumbling back a few steps to fall into the bushes. Caliga darted out of the way so she wouldn't get crushed, but stepped back over to her trainer curiously, to check on him.

"Ow ow ow ow," Brayden suddenly learned a new mantra, as he rubbed his eyes. Ichimaru was sitting contentedly a few feet away, smirk present on his features as he tried to look indifferent to his trainer's plight.

"I didn't mean to blind me with it," Brayden muttered sourly, wincing as he opened his eyes again, a large blur met him, along with the now-painful sunlight, and he soon clamped his eyelids shut once more to help ease the burning. The spots still danced even with his eyes closed, as Brayden shook his head to try to clear it.

Brayden removed his outer shirt, holding it over him as if he was trying to repell a rainshower. Cracking open his eyes once more revealed that the shade afforded by the fabric wasn't much, but at least it didn't make him dizzy.

"So, I hate to say it, but I need you to use another Flash. Once. We're. Inside. The. Cave," he articulated carefully, because he could already see Ichimaru raising his hand with another smirk.

The Abra reluctantly agreed, although it was more curiosity as to what his trainer's plight would be once he released another Flash from the pitch-darkness of Rusturf Tunnel.

So Brayden withdew Caliga for the time being, settling her Pokeball back into the notch in his belt. A few more minutes allowed him to lower the shirt from above him, as he draped it over his shoulder, for a short while, until a glance over his shoulder to see if Ichimaru was coming afforded him a view of the pitch black marking on his left arm.

With a renewed grimace, Brayden pulled the shirt back on, motioning for the Abra to join him, as he stepped into the cool interior of the tunnel.

As he entered the inside of the tunnel, Ichimaru traveling by Teleporting short distances alongside his trainer, regarding him curiously. He had seen Brayden's reaction to the mark on his arm, which had looked like a tattoo of some sort, but he really didn't get a good look at it, due to the fact that the Abra was much happier looking at the results of his prank on the trainer.

Brayden didn't say anything for a while, before requesting that the Abra use another Flash. For once the Abra decided to do as his trainer requested, without throwing the ball of energy anywhere at Brayden, Ichimaru instead lit up the entire cavern, traveling alongside his trainer in silence. Something was wrong. It didn't take the Abra's high IQ to determine that much.

He travelled the tunnel in silence for the most part, his thoughts elsewhere except for a few comments to the Abra, who was uncharacteristically worried about the state of his trainer. Even those few comments he made to his reluctant partner seemed somewhat lifeless, as if his heart really wasn't into making conversation.

"Things certainly have changed alot since then," he commented, which caught the Abra's attention.
