Story Archive 0.01 "Mom..."
"Yes, Darius?"
"Why does the sun shine so bright?"
Riila, an adult female Minya turned her head to her young son, Darius. She was an old woman, but not incredibly old, mind you. Her pelt was black, with a streak of white going through the middle of her back, white freckles plastered on hr cheeks and small white paws that tapped away at the grass in thought.
The son, Darius, was no different. He was black and white coated, having spots and streaks of both white and black around his fur. Though Riila was certain that his pelt was white, as mostly white showed around his fur than black. His eyes were as blue as the searching sky, just as her eyes were. The only thing that they did not have similar was the strange scarlet diamond on his forehead. Riila had seen a few male and female Minya with something similar. Though there diamonds were encrusted with gold or silver around them. Darius's mark seems to have come from birth.
"The sun shines bright so it may hide away the rain, my son," Riila sweetly chimed, her eyes fluttering to a close gently.
"Why does it want to hide away rain?" Darius asked curiously. Riila chuckled a bit, her eyes still close.
"The rain is bad," she bluntly said, with a tender sigh she opened her eyes again, looking at the poofy white clouds in the sky, "it causes your heart to bleed."
Darius perked an eyebrow at his mother strangely. It didn't seem natural to him. At one moment his mother was a sweet butterfly. Radiant, charming and very appealing to the eye. But then at another moment she was like a dead flower. Gloomy, depressing and very hard to look at. A few people said his mother was 'bi-polar' but he did not believe them. Perhaps they were envious of her strange philosophical approach to life.
Without a further word Riila stood up from her seat in the dew-filled grass and started to walk towards the southern river. Darius took note of this and started to follow, before Riila turned back to him with dreadful eyes. "Do not follow, Darius. I will come for you later," she said sadly, yet managed to plaster a fake smile on her lips.
Darius had his doubts but foolishly accepted the fake smile and sat back down on the grass, watching the vision of his mother vanish. He made a tumbling sigh and glanced back towards the meadows. He counted the clouds in the sky above him, looking at the sun through his peripheral vision.
The rain is bad. It causes your heart to bleed.
With those last strange words buzzing through his mind Darius fluttered his eyes close, falling into slumber.
---------------------------------------------------- Noises...wailing noises...
Darius's eyes shot open, blinking a few times so that a mental image of where he was could be painted. It was afternoon and the sun was about to set. At least what was left of the sun. Rain clouds formed around the setting light bulb, only needing a simple hole in their giant formation to pop and bring a noise of rain onto the meadows. He shook his head a bit, attempting to drown away his daze. Last thing he could remember was his mother telling him to stay around here, while she went to the lake. But it had probably been hours by now since she left.
The wailing noises then echoed again. Darius shifted his head right and left. He could not see the creature making the wails. He then realized his mother hadn't returned yet. What could she be doing right now? With a light sigh Darius started to sprint towards the river bank. Along the grassy path he was just praying that his mother wasn't hurt.

Roleplay 0.1 (Ajoko and Darius) Roleplayers: Mini Moo` and dinyana Darius How boring...
In the woods resting by a tree the whole world seemed to be a nonexistent black hole in Darius's view. Then again everything about him was quite negative. As if he had a glass of water that was half-empty. Sometimes he wished he could dump all the water out and make it totally empty. But that was impossible, as the water was simply metaphoric. He was under one cloud, as in: he was the only one who wasn't so cheery and bright as the other Minya were. Why should he care though? It made him different and many were scared of different things. Such as little kids are scared of spinach, until they actually try it. Ajoko What a day...
Ajoko jumped along the dew damp grasses. His nose was wet from smelling so many wet flowers, and the day had just begun. Perhaps she would see Darius. He was always unhappy though, perhaps today he would be the tidest bit cheery. Ajoko was optimistic, and never let anyone not have fun. She happened to see the glass full. Not half and half. Unlike Darius, who always saw the glass just plain empty.
Ajoko skipped along untill he saw something black. Hmmmmm.....what could this be? He of course knew what and perhaps WHO it was. He smirked and walked ever so slowly over towards him. Just a few more steps...
*POUNCE* Ajoko hopped onto Darius and smiled. Darius Darius stared up at the cumulus shaped clouds, hoping to find an image within them that he could recongnize and picture. And hopefully the clouds wouldn't burst into water, trying to fill up his cup. But before his thoughts could continue-
Oof!
Darius had been flattened to the ground, the dew now seeping into his nose. He muttered an incoherent curse and glared up through his peripheral vision to see Ajoko. It was incredible to him. Ajoko and Darius were complete opposites. While Ajoko preferred flowers and happiness, Darius preferred vines and nighttime. It amazed him how he could have a conversation with her and call her a friend.
"You do realize pouncing on me is not making me happy," Darius muttered out, his mouth taking in the grassy dew. Ajoko He pawed at his nose and smiled.
"Aren't you a grumpy grump?" she said and gave a sly smirk. Although Ajoko was quite optimistic, she was just as much sneaky.
"Come on! Let's go down to the river! I hear a looot of cute girls are gunna be there." he smiled and slightly nudged Darius. Darius Darius lifted himself to his feet again and groaned. He sighed and crouched back down onto the grass.
"You mean those propped up girls, who hide themselves with eyeliner and annoying glittery sparkles, to cover up their true messed up selves?" He shrugged a bit and got up again.
"I'll go with you, but if any of them talk to me don't expect me to say 'How do ya do!'." He snickered lightly. Honestly he rather not follow his friend, but then again it was at times interesting to see a society of fakes talk to each other, not finding realizations from truth and lie. Ajoko Ajoko shot him a cold glare. He was obviously making a mountain from a mole hill.
"Not all of them are fake, and I like the sparkly glitter!" he replied back and had a twinkle in his own eyes.
"Come on, it's not gunna be THAT bad, I'm sure you'll meet someone!" he spoke and smiled. Ajoko pawed at the grass and launched a bit of dew in his eyes and gave a smirk. Darius Darius sighed a bit, sprinting to keep us with his friend. He honestly couldn't get Ajoko. How could he possibly stand someone like him? Perhaps he just was friends with him to socialize?
...Nah?
Sprinting by Ajoko now they had arrived by a small river. For once Ajoko was right? That was weird. But there were a couple Minya girls by the river and as he suspected they were dressed up with glitter and some makeup. How drone. Ajoko Ajoko looked back and smiled at him. He knew that Darius was NOT going to enjoy himself, and he thought for a minute if he should just give up....
Nah.
He looked at some girl and smiled and flashed his brown white tail about, and make sparkles fall from it. He could tell the girls were impressed, and he looked at Darius, who of course, just simply watched, or even that, he would look away at times due to pure boredom. Darius Darius sighed and shook his head in disappointment. How could girls subject themselves to being picked up. Especially by Ajoko. Seriously.
That's when his peripheral vision noticed one of the Minya approach them. She would probably use wrong vocabulary, wink her eyes and expect one of them to fall for her. Of course Darius could care less, but he knew Ajoko and he would definitely crave attention from that girl. Ajoko Ajoko watched the Minya creep close to Darius. And a slight shock of envy crept from his heart. He watched her smile at them, and Ajoko smiled back, his eyes glittering. He stared at Darius who looked at his feet, rather then at the Minya. He rolled his eyes and flashed his tail once again. Darius Darius looked up noticing the girl was near him now. He perked one eyebrow out, hoping she would leave him alone. Of course he didn't prevail.
He sighed a bit and looked at the girl. "Can I help you?" He asked in a little rude tone, hoping that she would get the message to leave him alone and go off to Ajoko. It seemed Ajoko was more interested in this 'flirting' thing than he was. Not to mention he craved attention. Ajoko Ajoko glared hard at Darius and he swished his tail harshly.
"Don't mind him, he's just not the proper type of Minya you could expect." Ajoko spoke to the other Minya. He thwapped his tail at Darius and he then retrieved it and made a shower of sparkles fall from it. He gave a sly smile and winked at her. Darius Darius winced at the swish and snarled at Ajoko. "Hitting me with your tail won't make me proper."
The Minya girl giggled a bit at Ajoko's wink and Darius just rolled his eyes. How did Ajoko stand this kind of humiliation. Oh yea, he's optimistic. Darius sighed. At one side we wished he could have Ajoko's optimism. It meant he was happy and never wanted to make a bad situation out of anything. But on the other hand he was happy that his mind wasn't clouded with ridiculous thoughts, which let him think more logically.
Shaking his head he then realized the female was staring at him again. He just stared back with no emotion, not wanting to even think what illogical thoughts she was thinking. Ajoko Ajoko gave a smirk at Darius, and he pushed him slightly with his tail to move on.
"Nice meeting you ladies." Ajoko spoke one last time, and he winked at the two girls, before walking off.
After they were about 5 minutes away from the river, Ajoko swapped Darius again with his tail. He smirked again, and pounced on him.
"Don't you look cheery," Ajoko said with sarcasm. Darius Darius grumbled. "Well let's recap 5 minutes ago. We went to some propped up girls, you failed at flirting and I was whacked by your tail. Yep, I'm a real carebear."
He sighed and gently lifted himself up, letting Ajoko fall to the ground. Ajoko "Number one, I didn't fail at flirting. That's your job. Number two, not all of the were propped up, and number three, what kinda of carebear would you make?" Ajoko was annoyed by Darius's stupidity. But he couldn't get to angry. Since this was how Darius was ALL the time.
Ajoko dropped the the ground and licked the wet dewed grass and twitched. It was like frost on his tongue, and he could feel the water run down his throat. He shook himself and walked over towards Darius, allowing his feet to soak into the wet grass. Darius Darius chuckled at Ajoko and sighed. "Okay let me clear things up. One: I can't fail at something I didn't even try. Second: Whether they were propped up with make up or gigglish laughters of lies it was still being propped up. And third: I was being sarcastic."
Shaking his head he walked down the river, scanning the streaming water. It most likely led to a waterfall. Maybe he could have some fun and push Ajoko into the waterfall. Darius stopped and laughed a bit.
But that would be a tad bit too easy Ajoko But before Darius could finish his thought, Ajoko thought of the same thing first. With a thwap of his tail, he hit Darius into the stream, and watched the splash come over the river, and onto his nice brown and white coat. He shook himself and laughed. He then jumped in right after him and giggled. He knew his actioin would pay off somehow. And he pushed Darius out of the stream and onto the dry grass. They had floated down the stream quite a bit before they could get to safety, and he looked up to see a place not familiar to him. He shook his body so the water sprung off him like popped springs, and he had a look a fer on his face. But that soon vanished when he looked at Darius. Darius Darius's eye twitched in both anger and fright. Though he never told anyone this.
He had a huge phobia of water.
And now his fur was soaked in it. He didn't know what was worse. That the water was shriveling him up from his fur to his inside or that Ajoko was going to see him like this. Water was the reason he even became how he was. Uncaring, Morbidly Sarcastic and Generally Pessimistic. Though he never told anyone, because he thought it would make them feel sorry for him. He hated when people felt bad because of him.
Trembling he lifted his front paws over his eyes, so that no one would see him. With a shaky sigh he silently started to cry, trying his best to conceal his whimpers behind his paws. Ajoko Ajoko stood wide-eyed at Darius.
Was he...CRYING?!
Ajoko was all the more confused. And he put his paw on Darius's shoulder and nizzed his nose on his cheek.
"You ok? I'm sorry! I didn't know you were afraid of water!" Ajoko said, but when he said "were afraid of water," you could tell her chuckled a little bit. Ajoko Darius snapped his eyes up at Ajoko and muttered. "I'm not afraid of water. I'm afraid of being drenched in it." He lied. Though thanks to a whole lot of acting and depressive angst he was great at making lies look like truths. Well done, Darius, well done.
Darius then noticed the chuckle from Ajoko's voice and sneered at him. "Well you're afraid of rejection from propped up girls," he added with with a smug smile. That's why he was friends with Ajoko. They relate...in some kind of way. Ajoko Ajoko rolled his eyes and smirked. "I so am NOT. I'M afraid that someday, Minya will start to like you. AND THEN I'll be rejected. It's a train of different things." he replied and smiled slyly. He slightly pushed Darius, causing him to fall gently on his side.
Ajoko shook his body again and flung the water [[I was just about to say wet water xDD]] onto Darius and he then spoke sarcastically,"I am soooooooo sorry! Are you afraid because I drenched you with water?"
Ajoko chuckled again. He had fun teasing Darius, since it was a rare opportunity. Darius Darius rolled his eyes and chuckled. "Please, even if a Minya girl would like me it wouldn't matter." Besides the only reason he would have to like someone is if they could make him less of an a** than he was. And there was no way anyone could do that.
Darius glared at Ajoko as small droplets of water fell onto him. "You're a moron. Besides I have a reason for hating to be drenched in water." Ajoko He pushed him again and sat up.
"And the reason would be?" Ajoko questioned curiously. He sniffed at one of the nearby flowers and placed it on Darius head. He giggled and bat at his nose. Darius Darius was frozen on the spot. It felt like Ajoko, that flower on his head or anything else existed. He just felt dead, fur becoming cold and his throat felt like it had a lump in it.
"It's going to rain again, Darius."
Darius breathed in and out slowly, feeling small crystal water orbs on the tip of spilling out of his eyes. "I don't like being drenched in water..."
"The world is always grey. But that doesn't mean the sun won't come back."
"Because...it reminds me..."
"I hate this feeling...I despise it..."
"Of why I hate this shallow world," he sputtered out coldly, his throat snarling as he spoke. Ajoko Ajoko saw the droplet fall in his eye. He blinked and stared at Darius.
"Crud." he thought to himself.
He quickly looked over to the near by cave.
"COME ON DARIUS!" he yelled at him and pushed him hard with his head. Darius Darius snapped back from his hollow thoughts and shook his head, tears falling from his cheeks. Great...he was crying about that day again. Wonderful. What was this, the eighth time?
He shrugged and followed by Ajoko. At least he wasn't afraid of the dark. After all, everything had always been dark to him. So what was there to fear? ((Status: Discontinued))

Roleplay 0.2 (Sparlin and Darius) Roleplayers: Lime Colored Band-Aid and dinyana Darius It was a beautiful sunshine day. The grass was paved in morning dew and the sky was filled with cumulus clouds.
It made Darius sick.
He was never one for the sunshine days. Like life was a sunshine. Why be so pessimistic? The world was just a let down, is all. Happiness was a fictional lie and nothing was real. Perhaps that's how he was as well. Wishing for a perfect world that would suit him. Was that an ever far dream.
With a small gloomy sigh he sat under the large oak tree, just as he always had. It was his safe place. The place in which he can think. A place in which he was free. And the last place in the world to him that had any definition of the word happiness. Sparlin Golden paws padded softly in the dew kissed grass as the bright canary colored famale closed her eyes. The sunlight felt so good on her back, but for some reason she didn't feel right. She didn't feel.. happy.
As she slowly opened her bright yellow eyes she stared at a looming old oak tree, it's branches full of wonderful lush leaves that kept the sun from hitting where ever those branches loomed above.
The moment she saw it she knew it was perfect. The perfect place to hide from everyone and everything.
A smile flashes on her face as she picked up the pace, her golden feet gliding over the grass as she made way for her new sanctuary. Darius Darius was at peace. His eyes were closed as he contemplated inside his own darkness on what to do. That's when the perfect rush of the grass was being padded on, by what he assumed to be footsteps. He didn't open his eyes and he didn't move. Just sat there, continuing to stare off into darkness.
Who was this person, he didn't know? But why would he possibly care? Perhaps he didn't open his eyes because he wanted to wait then react. His mother always taught him patience. She taught him far more than what he could ever be capable of learning on his own. Sparlin As golden paws brought the female closer and closer towards the large oak tree she caught sight of another Minya laying soundlessly at the bottom of the oak. His fur was of ebony and he looked either rather upset or very clam. Which is was she wasn't sure.
This sight caused the female to move faster than she had in the beginning, but as she neared she slipped from the wet grass, skidding to a stop near the tree's looming shadow. Was this a sign? Maybe.
"Ouch!" Darius Darius eyes shot open as he felt extra weight on his back. He turned his head around to see a yellow Minya to be on his back. His eye twitched a bit from her bright fur. Yellow as bright as that could compare to the sun. It was blinding.
With a shrug he closed his eyes and shut then tightly in anger. Now he was feeling her weight crushing him. "Do you mind, miss?" He muttered out, a bit irritated and annoyed. Sparlin Sparlin whimped slightly because not only was she feeling even more like an idio, she had twisted her ankle in the process of falling. With another small whimper she slowly raised herself from the male, making sure that she wasn't touching him anymore as she fell back onto the ground.
If she didn't feel stupid already she might have been whimpering all the while, but she held her face tight as it contorted with pain. As it slowly died though she looked up at the male. "I-I-I-I..." she looked away and stared at a fallen leaf. "I didn't.. see you. Sorry." Darius Darius just stared at the girl. He obviously saw hurt in her eyes. With a small sigh he turned from her gaze, looking forward at the blue sky. A sky of hidden lies. "It's fine. You should take care on your ankle," he then turned to the left side of the tree, looking down at the running brook. "The river has cold water in it. It'll help reduce chances of swelling or irritation."
He wasn't too friendly, mind you. Company was something he didn't like, and this girl was bright company. So if he could get the girl to go away from him then all would be good. Sparlin Sparlin watched the male as he tried to look anywhere but at her. Had she really upset him so much for tripping and falling on him. She sighed as little tears started to fill the females golden eyes. Why in the world was she crying? She didn't need to cry, she didn't even know the male before her.
"I didn't mean to.. upset you. I will go away. Sorry, I am sorry." with her ears sagging to the point where they were almost laying on her golden locks of hair she slowly got to her feet, stumbling but slowly inching farther away from the male and towards that brook. Darius Darius made a light sigh. What was he feeling now? Guilt? Great, he was becoming a sap. How perfect. He turned around to notice the girl stumbling. No way she would make it there by herself anytime soon. Rolling his eyes in annoyance he stood up from his spot under the oak tree and started to walk towards the girl.
"Need some help?" He asked, with an unmotivated tone. He wasn't the type to help, but she was injured because she stumbled off him. Sparlin The normally cheerful and very bouncing female just stared at the male with a soft look in her eye. She might have been a little bit of an idiot but she wasn't stupid. As she watched his body language she turned away and again limped towards her destination.
"I caused you enough troubl-" she wimpered again she she pressed her foot to harshly onto the ground. It hurt, it hurt so much, but she wouldn't want help, it was her fault after all. She had beeen stupid enough to fall over him.
"I will leave you alone now. Sorry for the trouble I caused you... Sir." Her head fell so her eyes were now looking at the soft wet grass. She would get over it. Maybe she might even meet up with one of her friends on her endless wanderings, of course what she had forgotten was the little Chinua watching in the shadows of the grasslands. Darius Darius shook his head in disappointment. She was certainly a stubborn one. With a small sigh he bowed his head down and put it over the front leg that she apparently twisted and let it slide a bit down to land around the neck of his head. "I'll help you at least," he grumbled, waiting for her to move so he could follow along.
Sympathy was a drag. He had to remind himself to become immune to it. Sparlin Sparlin stared in shock that the male hadn't left her alone yet. Why was he helping her after being so very cold around her? Why was there such a change of emotions in him? She decided it was a question worth being asked.
"Why are you helping.. I tripped over me because I was.. I was stupid enough not to have noticed you there." She gave a weak smile to take the edge out of everything and slowly made a small step, her legs were so not used to be in one place at one point in time. Status: Ongoing
