There is an old work called The Vampire, his Kith and Kin by Montague Summers. It's an early work from last centuary on vampires, explaining their origin and growth throughout literature. It's an excellent read on Vampires. I read it a long time back (still when I was a Buffy fan though), and thought it was alright, and never thought anything more of it. Recently I heard that the creators of Buffy, took the last name Summers from Montague Summers as a sort of homage to the man and his works. I'm not sure if it is true. I thought it was cool, and thought some of you may want to know (or may know if it's true or coincident), so you can add another badge to your Buffy Obsession biggrin

That is extremely neat and it makes me want to read this book now.. I wouldn't be surprised if the name Summers was taken from the author, that's a cool way to do it. 3nodding

i believe that...joss tends to make lots of tributes to others in buffy...in "once more with feeling" he made lots of tributes to this one guy (i forget his name) who did apparantly the best musicals, according to joss...i watched the making of it...

Firefly only lasted for one season, right? And is it out on DVD? I want to see it, but somehow I think it's probably not on TV reruns. I'll check, though.
