Just wondering... How long has everyone here been a Sonic fan?
When did you get interested in Sonic?
What was it that got you interested?
I'll be back again with my own answers later - I'm multi-tasking at the moment. smile

It was when the genesis came out. I was 14 when it came out in '93 (I'm 25 and I still play videogames gonk ) That Sonic 2 game was addicting.

Balisong It was when the genesis came out. I was 14 when it came out in '93 (I'm 25 and I still play videogames gonk ) That Sonic 2 game was addicting. I'm 24 myself. What's your point? wink It was Sonic 2 that got me interested in the franchise, too. It was September 1992 that I was wandering home from high school past my local video/game rental shop and spotted a poster in the window, advertising an upcoming title. The blue hedgehog was nothing new and didn't interest me - but who was that cute little fox? smile I took note of the magazine the poster came from, bought a copy and did some reading. I was a die-hard Commodore Amiga junkie whose parents didn't see the point of buying machines that you could only play games on, but I'd dropped enough hints by Christmas that they bought me a Mega Drive/Genesis (and a copy of Sonic 2 to play on it) anyway. The rest, as they say, is history. smile

Do you mind me asking what yo've got against those two games? I didn't think that they were too bad. Yes, the use of AoStH and SatAM characters in the visuals was a blatant plug for the US' Sonic francises, but that's what you get when you let Sega of America code. I'll admit that Spinball was a bit fiddly and the graphics weren't all that great compared to other Sonic titles, but Mean Bean Machine was a Western repackaging of Puyo Puyo, and I always found that series rather addictive.
