Whee, I was wondering when there was going to be a thread dedicated to the one and only Ling-kun! I love the title! ^-^

In order of your questions:

How loyal is Ling to Ran Fan? Very. As in very very very *insert an infinite number of "very"s here* very loyal. After all, in chapter 55 when you-know-what occurs, he specifically states that he can't come back to her empty-handed after she gave up so much for him. (That, and they just go so well together as a couple. It's the only pairing I will write demi-fluff about.)
How much money does Ling owe Ed? A lot. It's hard to estimate. Although it's probably a heck of a lot more than 520 cenz.
Will Ling become Emperor one day? If not in the manga itself, in my fanfiction. ^-^
Do you think Ling's quest for immortality is good or bad? That honestly depends on whether Ran Fan can be immortal with him or not. After all, what good is immortality if you can't spend forever with the person you love?
Now that Ling is *Greed*, what is in store for him? How will this effect the future of the manga? Hmm... if I were in charge of the manga, I'd have him team up with Pride (who is actually Maes Hughes) and Wrath to rebel against Father and Envy. Well, mostly the latter. Hopefully, we'll be seeing plenty of vs. Envy battles. I do not doubt, however, that Ling will regain complete control. After all, he is destined to be with Ran Fan, no matter the cost. (<--is obsessed with that pairing)

I'm not sure if Ling is so, loyal, to her as much as he feels in debt to her. I just don't see his relationship with RanFan that deep. And for how much money he owes Edward, enough to feed the whole Amestrian army, as that is how much he eats heart Hell yes he will be emporer!!!! eek And then Edward can be his consort (yum, yum). But his search for the Philoshipers stone is much more controversial. What could happen if he DID gain it? Could an alchemical rebound occur? Would the stone simply reject his body for imortality? Or, more important, is the reasons Ling said he wanted it for the REAL ones? Maybe he has a greater objective for imortality, that isn't as innocent as ruling, simply, a country. : o I don't know, I've just been thinking about crap lately... And as for Greed? For one, he's the smexiest homunculus I'VE ever seen *hehehe* What is in store for him and what will happen? Only Arakawa-sensai can tell *worships*

[A/N]Excuse me, I will be using Lan Fan instead of Ran Fan because I think that translation is more accurate. razz No bashing please. I used Lan Fan before I read Viz's translations, and I still have yet to read a single translated English FMA manga. If you want to go into an argument about how the name should be translated, go ahead, but please remember that we could very well be reading Ling's name as Ring.

How loyal is Ling to Lan Fan?
Loyal enough. He doesn't seem to think of her as a simply a retainer and cares about her deeply. It is only after she is severely injured by Wrath that he really gets serious in his fighting in Chapter 47. I think he really does harbor some feelings for her because he promises that he will return to her no matter what, and Lan Fan will probably be the one who frees him from Greed.

How much money does Ling owe Ed?
A lot. Let's just leave it at that.

Will Ling become Emperor one day?
I'm not sure if becoming Emperor is really what Ling wants. I don't remember the exact quote, but he says something about duty being more important than anything else. Lan Fan questions him about this, asking if he will even grovel before the foreigners to find the secret to immortality, and he answers like that. I think the real reason why he wants to find immortality is for his ailing father. Either that or he wants to become Emperor so he will have the power to protect his country from those wanting to take it over.

Do you think Ling's quest for immortality is good or bad?
It's like the human transmutation thing. Immortality is not something humans should tamper with. Look at what happened with Ling's dad! So.. I think it's bad, but at the same time, it's the reason why Ling's in Amestris, so for that reason it's good x]

I won't answer the last question.. xD Too lazy to think about it right now.

Random comment.. I think Ling WILL be able to break free. After all, the first Greed did. I get the feeling he managed to return to himself before Father dealt with him. After all, if you look at Greed's words after he enters Ling.. it makes you really wonder if the homunculus who ran away from Father was the human consumed by Greed or Greed the Sin himself.

Hmm... that's an interesting prospect. That might actually work if Ed and Ling both think of it... of course, they'd probably have to take Greed by surprise in order for it to work...
