Rei leapt off the branch, smirking to himself as he landed on the ground behind Zellix and drew his kunai. Perfect, he'd struck a nerve. He hadn't been successful about getting her with believing he knew what she was trying to do, but apparently she didn't like the idea of being underneath somebody.
He turned to face and jump away from her summoning, holding his kunai out defensively. "You should think about getting less conspicuous 'friends' This isn't very useful in the middle of a forest except to make a big, noisy scene." He remarked, watching the bear carefully, glancing at Zellix more often than focusing on it. It was big and powerful, but not all that fast as far as he could tell, so he really just needed to focus on Zellix. If she relied on this sort of animal as an ally, she had to be either very good herself or Saikin wasn't nearly as good with his choices of "powerful shinobi" as the stories were.
He dashed to one side, jumping up and kicking off of a tree to flip over the bear's head and land in front of its master, slashing at her quickly to at least land another blow rather than make sure it was deep. He was trying his best to ignore the sudden heating up he felt. It was getting harder to focus and he was already sweating. This had to be a jutsu, there was no other way he'd get this hot this fast.

Snarling slightly, I lash out my own blade at the younger child, anger flooding throught my veins even as his blow lands again, scrapping across the surface. Motioning for the bear to move in, I smile as it starts swipping at the boy, hoping to cause at least a minor distraction as I leap back into the air. Jumping into the trees, I move quickly behind the green leaves for camofluage, timing myself perfectly before jumping back down behind the bear, keeping it infront of me like a shield.
Using its large size to hide my smaller frame, I lash out quickly with my blade beside the large white beast, slicing the arm of the boy but not deeply enough to cause any lasting damage. Smiling something, I peek from behind my companion, making sure he sees the look in my eyes.
"Play time."

Rei jumped away quickly, getting cut across the leg. It wouldn't be bad enough to slow him too much. He hissed slightly before jumping again, bouncing side to side to avoud the massive animal's paws. It wasn't that fast, but being hurt made it a little scarier to be near since blood could make him slip and then, obviously, he'd be dinner.
He twisted sideways when he realized the bear had stopped for a moment for a reason, getting the cut along the back of his upper arm and swearing again. They weren't the worst of wounds, but when there's a really big bear just waiting for you to mess up so it can rip you apart, every little nick starts to make a big difference. He glanced up at Zellix, narrowing his eyes as he jumped back again, having a little more room to avoid the mass of white fur.

"Down!" The bear falling to all fours, I quickly climb onto it's back, my eyes shining with mischief. Swinging my sword behind me, the bear starts charging again, this time with me on it's back, ready to attack again. Just before reaching the child, however, I leap back up into the trees, letting the bear hit him full on with a headbutt.
Jumping down again, I start moving caustionually toward the lad, my heavy blade gripped so tight my knuckles turn white. Taking in his wounds, I try to plan where best to hit to disable any further attacks, even as my fingers move quickly to start raising the temperature even more.
"Hot?"

Rei panted slightly as the heat was starting to really bother him. He leapt to the side with as much force as he could manage so that he'd dodge the headbutt as well as any of Zellix's swings he thought would come. If she hadn't said anything, he wouldn't even have noticed that she wasn't on her bear's back anymore until he looked.
"Just my...first big fight..." He said, trying to keep the sound of heat-induced fatigue out of his voice and wiping some sweat from his forehead. Rei turned to look at the woman and assumed a stance. "You should worry more about yourself. Nayami-sama didn't pick us because we were around at the time...I'll defeat you and kill you as Arashikage-sama ordered me to." He smirked suddenly, recalling Zellix's reaction to his comment about being Saikin's pet earlier.
"But, if you're lucky...I might convince her to let me keep you." He remarked with a slight wink. Like he'd ever actually do it, he had an innate sense of respect to most shinobi and would kill her unless Nayami decided she would make a better addition to the village than to the number that have fallen to them. That, and even if he did want to keep her, he wouldn't know what good she'd be as anything past a very good sparring partner to him. And now things were starting to get hotter, he had to stop her fast.

Growling more, I charge forward before leaping up and straight down, landing behind him to just kick him out of the way. My eyes, narrow slits, show my orange eyes even better as my companion slowly backs off. Racing back over to the child, I start lashing out with kicks instead, making my body temperature stay level despite my anger.
"Keep this!" Slashing across the child's back gently, I wish to prolong the torture instead of straight out kill. Wanting him to be in pain and beg for death seemed clearer then just slice his head off his shoulders, even as I jump back and take a defensive stance.
"You wish..."

Rei lets Zellix kick him, grunting from the pain of being kicked before turning to meet Zellix head on. He dug his feet into the ground while ducking under her next kick, bracing himself on the ground with his hands and one foot while kicking upward. Lightning began to crackle over his foot as he did this.
"Shokkingu Ashige!" The boy shouted, hoping she wouldn't be able to avoid the kick since she was in the middle of one of her own. Being so angry, Zellix was starting to make some pretty rash mistakes, Rei just wished this heat would start to go back down so that he could focus properly. He wriggled the fingers in his left hand and squeezed it into a fist, hoping for that bear of hers to come for him. He had a special surprise reserved just for it.

The jolt, racing through my body, pushes the pain aside as my body goes numb and then burning hot. Stumbling backwards, my feet burn as I feel the burning pain of electricity finally finding its way out. Remembering to breath finally, I look up into the childs face, clearly surprised before my hand finds my hair. Struggling to pull my fingers through the frizzy mess, I slam my sword down in the ground for the moment.
"Not nice!" Struggling to straighten the fluff that has become my hair, my hands move quickly to raise the heat even more in the young lads body. The moments allow me time to try and straighten my own hair well lowering my temperature back to normal, I glare coldly.
"Not funny." Leaving my heavy sword for the time being, I race at him again, this time using his body as a spring board to bounce back to my sword to hopefully cause him to stumble back. Sighing, I narrow my eyes slightly, well putting one hand on my hip.
"Give up?" The smell of smoke quickly racing to my senses, I feel the heat of the forest raising around me. My eyes, growing wider, I glance to the child and then back into the trees, worry on my features.
"Not good..."

Rei grunted from the kick to his chest, having been caught off guard with yet another increase to his internal temperature. She was handling that sort of technique pretty well, not even getting hit threw off the concentration. He got up, panting as started to sweat more profusely. This wasn't very good, and now that there was a fire, it would only get worse for him. He had to figure out some way to get her out of this so he could cool off and concentrate better.
"Hnn...All I have is Taijutsu to fight with, and a little lightning from my family's trait...Don't you think that, you're belittling your own reputation using this sort of technique instead of defeating me in a fair, one-on-one battle? What good is your physical strength if no one believes it's there? Even a Genjutsu specialist could beat me physically using this." He said, hoping to pluck that string of pride that'd been working so well throughout thae fight. "You don't want to be compared to a Genjutsu-using coward, do you?" He asked, shaking his head and letting out a long breath before throwing his shirt off. Despite it being his internal body heat, the semi-cool air on his skin helped him focus a bit.
Damn Hageshii...I bet he's the one burning the forest up. Leina-san doesn't know any Katon jutsu as far as I know and I don't think Nayami-sama would do something like this... He thought, though logic also pointed out he had no idea what their opponents could do and if it might actually be Nayami's father instead of Hageshii. He just figured it was the ANBU and his swollen head causing the trouble. Hopefully he wasn't going to be the death of Rei just because he wanted to believe he could kill someone in a single, big blast.
"Then again...maybe you should just turn it up higher...I have some people I need to prove my power to. Destroying you even with this handicap would be perfect..." He replied, still keeping as alert as he could for that bear. He couldn't see it anymore and hoped it was dismissed since it would probably hit him pretty hard if it decided to come to Zellix's aid.

Staring as the child begins to strip, I shake my head slowly. Still struggling to maintain my hair, I absorb his words and answer with a casual shrug. Walking calmly over to my sword, I sigh a bit as I can smell the fire get bigger and hear Ayumi's howls for her summons to come, as well as any other coyotes that maybe within ear shot. Looking from my sword to the child, I sigh again, debating silently.
"To be fair, no sword. Deal?" Folding my hands together, I flex them until a joyous pop of the fingers is heard before strutting slowly to the child. Stopping, just out of range of him, I cross my arms slowly, letting up on the heat of the youth a little.
"Fairness is unheard. Gift." Motioning slightly with my fingers, as if flexing my hands again, my bear quietly lumbers around behind the youth as I start closing in.

Rei shrugged as she made a motion to leave the sword. That wasn't what he was going for, just lessening this heat a little. He took his stance again to get ready for her. His left fist still clenched. He would be at a disadvantage until he got rid of that bear or knew it was gone.
"Keep the sword...you're going to need that. It's another show of your strength, so I could live with weapons." He replied, holding his right hand forward. He hoped she didn't think holding back with his left was a sign of some weakness or something, he didn't want to use Assai Kobushi on her but he'd have to if she struck anyway.

"Glad." Racing backwards quickly, my hand braces my sword quickly as I charge back. The bear quickly moves in to shove him forward, hopefully opening up a weakness for me, I smirk and jump up quickly.
"Good fight?" Aiming for him as I start my decend, I know all too well the child will have another trick up his sleeve. Bracing myself, just incase with another bolt, I play with the heat once more, spiking it once for a slight advantage, but hoping he doesn't realize.

Rei heard the bear thunder in behind him, twisting around suddenly while Zellix toyed with his heat again, punching at the bear's head for the most damage and possibly killing it or at least taking it out of the chance to fight.
"Assai Kobushi!" He really didn't care if Zellix hit him since she seemed to be set on incapacitating him first. So whatever happened, it wouldn't be as bad as the blow dealt to her by getting rid of the bear so that she was his sole center of focus.

Watching the bear fall angers me completely again as I twist my body to land behind him. Bringing the sword up along the childs back, I wrap an around around his neck to pull him against me. My free hand gripping his left arm tightly, I fight off the urge of breaking his wrist right then.
"Bad boy." Gritting my teeth, I throw him quickly away from me and toward the bears body, slicing at him again and again, not caring if any makes it or not. The smell of fire getting closer, I lost my temper completely at the site of my fallen friend.
"Jerk!"
