Rules

Any violation of the Gaia Online TOS may result in an immediate banning. The GE moderators reserve the right to warn, or ban any user who violates the Gaia online TOS. If you notice anyone, (including GE moderators) breaking the Gaia online TOS then you may report them to another GE moderator, or me via a PM. Please include a link to where the user is abusing the gaia online TOS in your PM.

Each of the sub forums have a different set acceptable threads, and unacceptable threads. GE moderators reserve the right to warn or ban any user who violates the sub forum's restrictions. These restrictions can be found in the "welcoming" sticky located at the top of each sub forum. Again, if you notice anyone abusing these restrictions, you may report them in the same fashion as stated above.

We are all entitled to our opinions, but do not specifically post discriminatory posts, or "flame" anyone for their own opinions or beliefs. If your opinion differs from theirs, then post your opinion. If you feel that you are being abused for your opinions, then simply report the user that is abusing you to a GE moderator. Again, you must include a link to where the abuse took place or your accusation will not be valid.

At the time, no threads will allow bumping. If your thread happens to fall off the front page of any forum, then you must post a new response in order to bump the thread up. In the future, if the amount of posts per day permits it, bumping may be allowed in the GEGD as well as any fast moving sub forums.

No double posting a thread. If a thread already exists for the topic you wish to discuss, then you must discuss it there. At the time, this is how it is going to be, but if we get enough members that this becomes an unreasonable request, then we may change this rule.

Read the welcoming thread at each forum in which you wish to post before posting. The rules and conduct for each forum may differ and a violation of the GE rules may result in a warning, or even a banning.

Guidelines

Be active. We wish for this guild to be successful so posting in it often will be much appreciated. I will occasionally monitor the member's accounts for activeness. Those who seem to have been inactive for a long period of time may be susceptible to banning, or a warning.

Be literate. This guild is mainly designed on the basis of literacy. Try to make your responses as well thought out, and well formed as you can. Words such as "ROFLAMAO" and "HOMFG" are very much shunned here. Sarcasm and wit are allowed as long as they are produced in a way that does not overly offend any person, or group. Mainly just avoid random or meaningless posts. Any person that types such posts will be warned by a moderator, and if the problem continues then they will be banned.

Be opinionative. This guild is for those who have strong opinions an any matter what so ever to post said opinions and discuss them with others who either share the same opinion or those who disagree. This is to be done in a semi formal manner, meaning that you post your opinions knowing that others may not feel the same way. Respect the opinions of other users, just as you wish for them to respect yours. If you disrespect any other member, or members, then you may be warned or banned by a GE moderator.

Be creative. We are constantly looking for new topics to discuss. Want to discuss a topic that hasn't been mentioned in this guild yet? Then post a new thread. Can't find a good forum to post it in? Suggest a new sub forum in the GE Guild Community sub-forum. Those who design clever new threads, or sub forums, are eligible for promotion is some cases.

Be independent. If you notice anyone at all breaking the rules, then feel free to immediately report them to a GE moderator, or myself. Even if you notice a GE moderator abusing their powers, report them. If it is a GE moderator in question, then report them to me, or another GE moderator. Be sure to make your reports thorough as possible with links, or evidence to support your accusations.

Read the Announcements. The announcements will keep you better informed about what is taking place in the guild. Whenever a rule, or guideline is changed, an announcement will be placed, and you will be help accountable if you break the new rule because you did not read the announcements. The announcements can be found in the Gaian Elite Guild Community Discussion sub form. Other more general announcements may also be placed here in the Gaian Elite general discussion main forum.
