I just got the Art of Discworld book. It's quite awesome, complete with numerous kickass ramblings of Terry himself as well as the artist. Could've done without naked Nanny Ogg, even if she was considerably younger. Otherwise, I'm very happy with it, even if it also opened my eyes to how much I need to reread the entire series.

What does the guild at large think?

I don't have it, but I got to look at it for a while at Barnes & Noble, and it was pretty good.

i found it quite interesting, and thought it gave an insight into both pratchett's writing style ad kidby's artistic processes.
would you like to write an official reveiw of it for the times? (you will be paid.)

I just picked it up from work today actually, I'd looked at it heaps but until you mentioned it I never realised the captions were written mostly by god. I mean Pratchett.
It was worth the price just for the insight into Terry's head, the pretty pictures were a bonus.

I'd love to give it a shot. I can't promise that'll even be worth the Times, though. It may take awhile too. Complications upon reaquiring the book. If it gets done, expect within a week.

it took me forever to finally get a copy, but i thought it was excellent and Paul
Kidby's work was fantastic.
