Since when did the world become a hell of a lot noisier?
Normally, Kimiko could be content to sit in a bookstore and read a book for however long of a time she could stay there. It was quiet, after all, almost like a library, only you had to pay for the book and you weren't borrowing, you were keeping it. However, it seemed ever since she stepped off the train, everyone had started talking louder, and, yet, nobody else seemed as bothered as she did. Things were weird in that sense.
Finally unable to handle it, the brunette had paid for the books she wished to purchase, and headed out, wanting to get back to the hotel. Along the way, though, the young woman stopped at a nearby grocery store, picking up a bag of baby carrots and some celery, as well as a jar of peanut butter. Although she normally enjoyed eating chicken and shrimp, especially that of the barbeque or popcorn variety, she felt like eating some veggies for once. Not that she didn't like carrots or celery; she did, but it was just...odd. Something she couldn't place a finger on.
Maybe she was simply overreacting. That train ride had made her rather wound up. Exiting the store, Kimiko began the walk to the train station, hoping she wouldn't fall asleep and miss her stop this time.
Deep and meaningful paranoid thinking could wait.
