Since Final Fantasy within it'self is a masterpiece of it's own, its hard to talk about just one game. So this will be a topic where you can discuss and compare each and every FF game under the sun. <3
I liked FF6 and 9 a lot. FF9 the most. It's graphics are incredible for a PS1 game, and the plot is awsome. I especially liked the way they brought out Vivi's character, and the story behind Zidane is really cool too.
Unfortunatly i have never finished the game. A long time ago i used to share game systems with my brother, so we shared the same memory card and everything. One day he saved over my game and that was the end for gaming and me. (I hate to repeat things, it's dumb i know.)
sad But I finally got myself a PS2 (Mini) and my own copy of FF9 and currently am on the third disc! The Chocobo side quest is annoying, especially since it won't allow me into Mognet Central without it.
Right now i have my eyes on Final Fantasy 12. I get paid this weekend, so i hope to get my hands on a copy of it! <3 Wish me luck!

Never really got around to playing any of the FF games for more than a few hours on just a couple of them. It was very much fun though. If i had the time back in the day when i was a hard-core gamer, i would have played more I'm sure, but those damn FPS games got me first.
The Movie - Advent Children, was definitely a great CG movie. Those fight scenes where pretty damn intense even for a viewer who knows relatively nothing of the game series. (Like me)

Being and animation student whos particuarlly interesting in 3D animation, I pretty muched drooled in awe through the whole of Advent Children. Probably one of the best 3D animated films I've seen in a long while.
From what I've heard and some of my friends have said, the people that have designed all the FF games were taken out and put in a new team for FF 12. Okay far enough, but I hate the new battle system. You can only control one character and that's it (bit like Star Ocean (?) and KH). You can also avoid having random characters as the map is very similar to Start Ocean, where you have a sort of 3D platform environment and and little monsters wondering around, you can easily go past them and avoid being attacked. I've also heard there's even more cut scense then 10 and 10-2 put together. But that's what I've heard, but I'm sure you'll give us feedback wink
My all time favourite FF game is 7. It's the first one I've ever played, I like the story plot, interesting characters, good fighting system, gold saucer and Chocobo breeding mrgreen I like the card game in FF8, oh the hours I wasted on that damn thing to complete the whole card set >_< I also like FF9, because of the graphics and story. And last, but not least, I love FF Tatics (Gameboy Advance version). Simpely cute pixel animation and a great game for just mindless and endless fighting.
I don't why, but the music for when you fight Sephiroth at the end always makes me laugh. It has a lovely classcal esque music and it's spoiled by the over the top "SEPHIROTH" choir. rofl

yeah, final fantasy. i like 7, 8, and 9, and 11. i personally played only a demo of 8, and based on that, i really enjoyed that. sweatdrop i thought it was pretty cool. i saw the movie of 7, and watched my friend play that game, which was also pretty cool. 3nodding but i personally played 9 and 11, i loved 9. blaugh i thought it was ******** awesome. i loved vivi. i love how our new jack hat is like his. ^_^~ i NEVER beat it though! i was at this kid's house, who i used to be friends with and i left the final disc at his house, and then suddenly he up and moved. gonk gonk
i played 11 online, i downloaded that crap to my 360. and it SUCKED. i hated it so freaking much. i couldn't figure out the controls, it was like i needed a mouse and keyboard but i didn't have one. so i dropped it. i hated it so much.
and sephiroth music ftw~!!!

I guess that one doesn't sound so bad? I really like the old turn based system like in FF9, it just seems traditional y'know? Did you see the Chocobo breeding comic on VGCats? Hilarious. xd

Update!!Totally bought FF12 today. Collector's Edition, oh yeah!  Check out how much i paid for it:  Crazy prices. rolleyes But it's worth it. Sorry about the poor picture quality...I haven't taken it out of it's wrapping yet. Don't know what i should do first, watch the DVD that comes with it, or play the game!! (PS> Sorry if the pictures are too big...)

CHOCOBO INBREEDING xd that strip was hilarious! I really want the t-shirt for it. Yeah, I like the turn bases system, it was great. I like to be in control of all the characters I use to fight, so I can know thier abilities and skills, so only controlling one person in a fight is not me ^^; I'd say watch the DvD first then enjoy watching FF12 wink

Whoo! Going to try and not give out any spoilers here, but so far the game is really cool! The graphics are...OMG x3 Graphics! *Flails arms wildly* Eeee!!
The battle system is really bad though. sad My brother told me that you are able to switch from character to character and have them attack as well, but besides that there's little to no control as to when you're going to attack. It's basically like turn-based like you would see in FF9, but you move around. I don't really get the point of that. :/ It pisses me off too.
Anywhooo..I haven't played that much if it since i wanted to catch up on sleep this weekend. The moogles look soooo cute! (If thats what they're supposed to be called in this game...) They aren't save moogles either, just normal NPC's running around the town doing their own thing. Haven't been able to talk to one yet though. sad Makes me sad.

Ahhh Final Fantasy... What to say? Great grafics (7 was a disapointment as far as characters go), funny mini-games, great storylines, great characters... TOo bad that they used the random battle system for so long <.< Seriously, I hated it. Anyway, I must say, my favorites so far have been IV, VI, VII and IX... I wanna platy X, X-2 and XII!!!! crying
