for xmas i want a guitar but i've never played before (i'm going to have to take a lot of lessons xp ) does anybody have any suggestions about what kind i should get?

i wanted an electric but my mom refused to get me an amp -_-'
but my grandmother bought and sent me an acoustic estaban guitar,which i named Estaban(i'm so original and creative!) now i just have to get lessons...

well when i wanted to start playing guitar i got an acoustic [cuz i had no choice] but it depends on what u wanna play... bass or acoustic or electric

u dont have to take a lot of leasons just practice alot......wen they say practice makes perfect....that fits perfectly with playing the guitar...if ur in high school see if u can take a begining guitar class...trust me that helps alot...cuz wen i was taught how to play....i didn't learn much...except for playing tabs......but thats cuz i had a crappy teach....who got kicked out of school cuz of a chuckie cheese insident....anyways.....practice and see if u can take guitar classes in school

if electric, I'd say Gibson is the best, but you get the cheapest good ones from Fender I like the sound of the Parkwood acoutsic guitar, but it's expensive...

I'd definitely recommend acoustic as a start, because electric is harder. D<
