neoistheone21 Well I do have one, I know casting spells and all that is apart of it, but well do they all actually work, or is it just basic faith in hoping what you casted was the right thing? Oh, good question. Wiccans do cast spells with faith in hoping it works. Its like praying as christians do. But theres a certain engergy towards every spell. For example, luck spells, these spells would work best under a full moon for the full moon gives off lots of energy to these types of spells, there is a big chace that it does work. Also, theres the rhyming in spells, which adds power to the spell, non-rhyming sometimes work but rhyming has a better chance.

Ok here's a hard one. I'm a medium and a young male spirit that I talked to said that his parents who were in to this tried to cast a spell on him right after he died. They tried to bring him back to life before he crossed over and because of it his spirit is now attached to the house. My question is did they know what they were trying or did they cross a line and start trying something evil?

Okay trying to bring him back to life is considerend Black magic spell casting. White magick doesnt not include this. We'd cast a spell for a good after-life but not to bring back to life, becuase it wpuld bring negative engery. I do not think they knew what they were doing because it the did, s**t spirit would now be free and not stuck within the house.

What's the difference between white magic and black magic? I know that black magic is supposed to cause harm and white magic helps, but is black magic used to harm bad people still considered black magic?

blakat1313 What's the difference between white magic and black magic? Black magic yes, is used to harm, or put curses on people. It is always used for negativity. White magic, is basically what wiccans do. thats they kidn of spells we cast, to help. but soemtimes it coems where we may have to do soemthing to harm someone but not intentionaly. Basically White magic = good, black magic =bad.

Wicca is a Neo-Pagan religion that was created by Gerald B. Gardner in the late 1940s / early 1950s.
It is a ditheistic, mystery-based initiatory religion. The Gardnerian Tradition is the oldest (and first) form of Wicca.

I know that there are plenty of bad things I can justify, but there are also people who would think anything harmful is evil.

Harming spells are rarely used in wicca or paganism. Black magic for that matter is dedicated to harming and maybe they wuold rarely cast good spells but on themselves, because they do not think that others deserve good.

They tried to bring him back to life before he crossed over and because of it his spirit is now attached to the house. My question is did they know what they were trying or did they cross a line and start trying something evil? That would probably be a personal decision, and depending on what tradition his parents practised would say whether they knew it to be good/bad... Were they Wiccan?? Bear in mind there are massive differences betweeen one pagan tradition of discipline and another. Wiccan/Pagan/Witchcraft are NOT interchangeable words
