This is the home of Rei. It's pretty simple having a bed, dresser and the other basic necessities one would need in a modern household. He does not have a TV since he doesn't ever bother with watching one. There is some carefully stashed training equipment around the place so that he doesn't overburden any one particular spot and cause it to collapse.

Rei dropped his sword against the wall as he came in, stumbling into his bedroom and immediately collapsing onto the bed inside. His muscles ached badly now, he should have just kept using the weapon as a crutch so that leaving the Grotto wouldn't have just been a waste of time. He rolled and shifted himself slowly until he was finally laying on his back and fully on the bed. He didn't even bother pulling anything over himself, he just lay there and rested, not really sleeping since he had no need to after being in the Grotto for as long as he was. But damn would sleep have been good.

Rei sighed, still laying where he was, breathing softly so his muscles didn't stretch too far past the "comfort zone" established by his current disability. His body was severely weakened compared to how it was not very long ago. If he'd moved from where he was, he hadn't done it consciously.
"Shut up...you can't heal me, it'll just damage me more. We've already been over that...I warned you about the results of the second bolt. You work with electricity, so if you try to help, it'll only, apparently, try ripping me apart again." He mumbled, seemingly having some mad fantasy of there being someone to talk to. Though, the other end of the conversation couldn't be heard by normal people, so it was likely he would be assumed unstable.
"All right then, pup, if you're so adamant against a speedy recovery, let's talk about something else." The canine voice echoed in his mind. "Okay, what do you want to talk about then, Raijuu-sama?" He asked, still staring straight up. He hated not being able to move, he needed a bath to clean off what didn't soak out in the Grotto and he was getting hungry. There needed to be a hospital, the Grotto wasn't enough for situations like this.
"The b***h you were with earlier. I think I've finally felt you have truly selfish thoughts...Some of them weren't very becoming of such a high-strung servant of the Arashikage as yourself." Raijuu remarked, letting out a long, low thunder of a laugh that still gave Rei the shivers. Calling Leina a "b***h" wasn't insulting, Raijuu was a thunder creature, he preferred to be a wolf of some sort, he was going to call women bitches just like they were others of his kind.
"You think so? Sounds like you've been sitting in that seal picking my thoughts too long again. Leina-san is my friend, she's a good kunoichi, especially being only medic I know of. And I'm a growing kid, I still can't stop myself from thinking things like that. I don't think it matters, though, even if I was interested in her the way you're talking I highly doubt it would work. First, there's the off chance that she even likes me in the first place beyond a comrade or at least a friend. And my dedication to Nayami-sama would scare her off, she'd think I was obsessed with an older woman or just not appreciate being put second to my desire to serve Nayami-sama every time."
"You're just talking to hear yourself speak now, pup. I know what I sensed. I don't see the problem, she's a good b***h, you're a strong, able male. It's only natural." Rei only shook his head again. Raijuu was angling for something. He didn't know what it was, he didn't really care, but whatever he wanted, it was going to involve using Leina to get it. He definitely didn't want that done to his friend.

"No...""Get over it, pup, you need to be able to roll your carcass out of this bed sooner or later. You may as well groom yourself and go to the b***h too." "I'm not going to go see Leina just because you think that I want her and that she'd return those feelings. Now shut up and get comfortable." Rei grumbled, refusing to let Raijuu make an attempt to "demagnetize" his body so that he had a little more mobility at his disposal.
Other than that, he also didn't want to give the creature a chance to get him to Leina again and try to do something that could just make their relationship as comrades more difficult. "Did you ever think that I'm just trying to get you to a good mate? What the hell do I have to gain from you having your own b***h to take care of? If anything, you'd probably fight even more to keep me locked up here." Raijuu growled, Rei now in his own mind and looking into the jagged bars of a cage. Raijuu was trapped behind bars because the jags were small lightning rods. Any time he tried to break up his body and pass between them, the rods would draw his energy straight back to them and forcibly resolidify him back inside.
"I don't know what you could have, but you wouldn't just be having some sudden desire to help me. Any being in your position would try to exploit anything...I'm just not sure what your angle is yet." He responded, folding his arms and glaring up at the beast contemptuously. The Bijuu in question snarled and threw himself against the barrier, more for intimidation than expecting to get through.
"You insolent runt! How dare you compare one of the Bijuu to the pathetic whelps you call shinobi!" Raijuu's chakra began to leak out around the walls and floor of his prison, surrounding Rei as if he meant to find a way to take control forcibly and take the situation into his own power.
"I'm not going to let you hurt Leina, so stop trying to get me to lie to her about something like this..." Rei said, almost too calmly. He took in a deep breath as he closed his eyes, at least now he wouldn't have to threaten to stab himself again like he normally did. He let his arms drop to his sides, both hands sparking for one instant before he forced the electricity to scintillate over the limbs, causing him to immediately drop to the imaginary ground and scream again. Raijuu's chakra retracted as the beast howled and flung himself into his prison again. It didn't hurt him as badly as it did the boy, but he knew that if he didn't stop he'd kill himself and drag Raijuu to whatever depths of hell with him.
"All right! Stop! You can just fester in this place until you can move again for all I care. If our fates weren't bound so close, I'd have taken my chances of permanent damage..." He growled, slinking into one of the darker parts of his prison as Rei's mental incarnation panted, gradually getting back up. The prison faded as he finally returned to full awareness.
The boy looked around the room, surprised to see that he was curled up into a tight ball from electrocuting himself and there were some scorch marks on his bed and walls from where extra power had probably struck out. He hissed and rolled onto his back again, the sheet underneath his right arm having suffered the most and the arm itself having small burns from the heat caused by burning the bed. Now he needed to get to the Grotto again...and avoid Leina until he recovered a little more so she wouldn't find out he was hurting himself to control his burden. Or that he'd done it for her safety. Is...he really lying...? Do I have feelings for Leina-san?

'Why....Why couldnt I just make my legs take me to the Shrine?' Leina thought as she stood in front of Rei's appartment resisting the urge to knock. 'Why?' Leina sighed quietly trying to make her legs buge from their spot to walk to her intended destination. She hadnt been there long, maybe thirty seconds tops. 'Oh Leina....Dont deny why you came' Kyo's voice rang through her head. 'Shut up Kyo!!!'
She was about to make herself leave when she breathed in the scent of something burnt, coming from inside Rei's appartment. At first she came just to check on him and see how he was doing as an excuse, but now she can also say she was heading to the Shrine and passed by his home and smelled the burnt in the air. 'Leina....Just tell him how you feel instead of lying.....I wont kill him if he hurts your feelings....' Kyos voice rang again. 'Shut up!! I dont trust you right now....' she sighed and knocked on his door.

Rei looked over to the door, about to panic. He didn't know who it was, he just assumed it was Leina because she was the last person he'd ever want to show up just now. He shook his head and sighed, now wasn't the time to worry though, he needed his arm to get healed some way so that he'd heal right and he just plain needed somebody to help him around until he was better.
"C-Come in...!" He called, almost inaudible through the door as he started coughing. There was a little smoke from the burns, just no fire fortunately.

Leina turned the knob slowly cursing at herself as well as Kyo. Closing the door and turning to look around she walked farther inside and stopped when she noticed Rei lying on his bed, and she noticed the burns and smell of smoke she waved lightly until she felt a tingling sensation in her nose. She quickly took out her handkerchief and sneezed from the smoke. "Excuse me....." she said quietly and smiled lightly.
Still holding the handkerchief she looked at Rei and then the floor. "How are you doing? I came to check on you, especially after smelling the smoke when I was passing by to go to the Shrine. I assumed you left something cooking, but the smoke didnt smell like burnt food......" she didnt make eye contact the whole time she was speaking just looking at other things in Rei's appartment.

Of course it was Leina, because Rei was afraid of her reaction to seeing him in his present condition. At least she didn't react as badly as he'd first thought. But he wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not, she sounded less concerned than she was trying to seem.
"I'm fine...I will be, anyway. The demon was trying to take advantage, so...I had to try and work electricity to make him stop or risk dying." He explained, smiling weakly. He was trying to keep Raijuu in check, she couldn't be too upset about him hurting himself because of that...right?

"Oh. Yeah.....I dont think no one would have been happy if you passed, I know....." she quieted down. She was about to say she wouldnt be happy at all if he did died. She looked up at Rei and nodded. "Well....I guess your doing okay, except those burns you have....." she said. 'Leina.....Quit acting weird...He's going to notice.....Or just spill your guts then and there" Leina lightly furrowed her eyebrows. 'Shut up Kyoryoku....No one asked you to speak right now.....Just go back to your own little world with Chiisai and Tochi until I call you......' Leina thought back and looked at Rei. 'Sheesh...I was just trying to help out. I dont want to be the familiar of someone who doesnt know how to control themselves emotionally.'

"Say something, runt, you want her around for more than just help and you know it. Or I could always try it myself...You've got a lot more to lose if you keep trying to avoid this." "Shut up, I don't need your help with anything. You're just going to try and make her think something and I'm not even sure I feel what you keep saying I feel." Rei grumbled mentally, trying not to let his argument with Raijuu come out of his mouth. It was hard, he had no idea if he'd ever get used to it.
"Ah...yes. I basically can't move anymore, so I can't take care of them." He said, looking away slightly. It was about as close to asking for her help medically as he would let himself get. She looked uncomfortable here so if she didn't catch to the suggestion of his needing help, then he didn't need it badly enough. Raijuu, apparently, would be able to heal it almost perfectly later so he could stand to let it be for now.
"You must have something to do at the Shrine, you can go now if you like. I'm sorry you got worried about the burning." He said, looking back up at her.

"Oh, dont worry about it. I was probably going to come and check on you either way" she said 'Straight out lie. You said you were gonna avoid him at all costs Lei' Leina clenched her teeth and then talked again smoothly "I really have nothing to do at the Shrine. I just find it very soothing and tranquil to be there......" she walked towards where he laid.
"Here let me just do a quick healing jutsu so the burns wont blister later on....." she quickly did a few set of seals and let the light in the room and from the sun that filtered through to heal him quickly with its ember glow. Once she saw the burns disappear she stopped and turned around beginning to walk towards the door. "I guess now I'll head to the Shrine" she said turning around to wave at Rei as she grabbed the knob. "I'll probably see you around then...." she opened the door ready to leave.

Rei let out a soft, content sigh as he felt Leina's chakra mingle slightly into his body, the warmth of the sunlight soothing his burns until they basically disappeared. Well, he guessed the wound was important after all. And he got a chance to think about how he felt with Leina so close. He still couldn't draw out any logic from it. If he could just stop letting the fact that she smelled nice distract him it would be easier.
"Thank you, I'll be sure to bring something for your help once I'm able to." He said, letting his head fall lightly onto the pillow. "You're hopeless, pup. You want her and you still don't realize it." "What? I couldn't feel anything weird...maybe if certain demons would block off my enhanced sense of smell I wouldn't have been distracted by how she smelt. It was pleasant, though." He thought, letting out another content sigh as he closed his eyes to rest.
"Pup, your smell is only ever boosted when I'm in control or making the effort. That was YOU distracting yourself with it. And that means you do want her...You're just too stupid to figure out a good feeling when it's beating you over the head with a whole damn forest." "Nnn...stupid wolf..." Rei grumbled, not sure if Leina was still close enough to hear him speak at all and not even realizing he'd said it out loud.

Inside Leina's mind, Kyoryoku watched in amusement. Even if the boy told her she could go to the Shrine even if he was hurt, Leina went and helped him. Since Leina was busy controlling and changing her chakra and the sunlight together to heal Rei, she never noticed how he reacted except himself. Without letting Leina hear him out he thought quietly to himself. 'Hmm....I see whats going on here.......He doesnt know his own feelings. I can tell Raijuu has even told him and he doesnt want to believe it......'
Watching as Leina was leaving, Kyoryoku enhanced his hearing senses since it seemed something escaped Rei lips, and there it went, 'Stupid wolf?....Must be meant for Raijuu...' Leina was about to turn and ask Rei if he said something since she didnt hear quite well what he said, except Kyoryoku was much quicker and let Leina now hear his thoughts. 'He called you a stupid wolf Lei......' He was going to use that to his advantage, probably Leina would get mad, and Rei would probably become confused at what just happened when Leina slammed the door or yelled at him. He wanted to see how far Rei would go to prove to Leina that he never said those words to her but to Raijuu. He knew he would be scolded at the end if the truth was found, but it was worth it, maybe Raijuu would see where he was going with this and would try to put more pressure on Rei's feelings like he was doing with Leina's. If the two weren't doing anything, then might as well let the boys Bijuu and girls Familiar do the work.
Leina stopped before asking her question and stayed quiet. She was angry now, after all she did by healing him and becoming worried he had the guts to call her a stupid wolf. Tightning her hand around the knob she looked back at Rei her eyes a bit darker now with anger. "Bye" was all she said before walking out making sure to slam the door harder than she intended to and walked away. "I cant believe he actually said that!" Leina said as she headed to the Shrine. 'He did....I heard him loud and clear. Im surprised he didnt call you a stupid b***h.....You know, for a female wolf' Kyoryoku thought back to Leina. "He wouldnt dare.....He'll never see whats coming to him if he said those words...." Leina walked quickly away from Rei's appartment, her hands clenched in fists and her eyes filled with anger and some unshedded tears. "I'll stick with my promise now...Im going to avoid him....." she muttered 'Are you sure you're going to hold that promise? You didnt at the beginning, you came to see him.......' Kyoryoku said quietly "Im sure of it....Just watch me...."

Rei looked over at Leina, not noticing how tightly she'd started clenching the door when she told him "bye". He smiled a bit that she took the time to say so. "Goo--" He stopped midsentence when she simply walked out and slammed the door. "Leina...?" He forced himself to sit up, leaning against one of the two walls his bed was set by. "What...happened, why did she leave..." He mumbled, letting his head hang down and looking at his hands resting in his lap.
"Damn demon, what'd you do?! Did you make me say something to her!" "I didn't say a Raiden-damn thing, pup! Maybe you should start watching what you think and squeezin that voicebox when you don't wanna say anything for someone else to hear. You already know she deals in wolves, she could just as easily take 'stupid wolf' as a swing at her or her furry little friends. Does she even know that I like being canine?" Raijuu simply snorted in his cage, watching Rei's mental incarnation calmly.
"I...said that..? She heard me...And I can't get to her...I promised her I'd get something to thank her, so I'll just do that when I can get up again and hope she'll listen to me." Rei said, closing his eyes and falling asleep sitting. He'd get to Leina and find a way to make things right.

Rei woke with a start, grabbing at the bed when he realized he was still sitting. He let out a sigh and shook his head. That didn't hurt... He lifted one arm and rubbed a slight kink in his neck from sleeping in an awkward position like that.
"Raijuu! Damn you!" He shouted and slammed his fist against the wall. It was nice to be able to move and have a chance to take care of himself agian, but he preferred to take care of himself. "You stupid demon, I don't need anybody's help. It'll make me weaker..." He grumbled, sighing as he got up. It ached to make himself move too much still, but Raijuu had removed that magnetic feeling on his body which apparently was what stopped him from moving as easily.
"Get over yourself, pup, I could very well be saving your tail. Now go find your b***h, get her something nice and make thi-!" "Stop calling Leina a b***h...I don't care what you mean and I especially don't want you referring to her as MINE! She doesn't belong to anybody she doesn't want to belong to..." He wished he could literally look at Raijuu now instead of just visit him inside his mind.
Luckily, Raijuu was right, he had to go take care of Leina first. He would be pissed at the Bijuu for healing him later. Rei took a deep breath and decided to start by cleaning himself up first, then he would decide how he was going to thank Leina. What she would want for starters, he had no idea.
"Think she needs some new kunai or something? Ahhh...I'm no good at this. She's probably got some herself already. What else can I do? I can't get clothes because I don't know her measurements and shouldn't need to. Maybe..." The boy shook his head and sighed, getting dressed after a shower and running his fingers through his hair as he tried to think.
He would think while he made his way to Leina's house, at this rate, he'd probably either get some weapons or take her to get something. He sighed as he walked, this was going to be a disaster, he knew it.
