Do you think video games make children more violent.

to be honest with u boss... yes it does but that's somewhat the parents and or elder siblings fault for playing violent games with them in the room.

Not specifically. That depends on a lot of variables (like the games the child is playing, and the child's lifestyle/environment), and can't be narrowed down to a specific stimulus.

They can, but so can a lot of other things.

As long as the kid knows that it's a not real life they might have a chance of not becoming violent...but it also depends on the kind of game

Mmmm....perhaps....but consider the other influences other than video games. I mean music has hints of killing, movies, things on T.V, comic books...etc. Hmm I guess a kid can't get away from the influence of violence. Also some kids need to ease up- its a game not RL.

The parents should be the ones also in question, why do they let their kid play M rated VGs?

(On a side note, you know what would suck? If all those parents whos children are victims and are against violent vg-ing all came and signed a petition to ban the production of "violent" games.
Wait...This almost reminds me of when the church wanted to ban Resistance Fall of Man for the ps3. O_o;; )

Yeah I truly believe it's a parents responsibility to know what there children are playing in their own house, and what they're buying for their children.
Cause truth be told your right Kumiko. There is exposure to violence everywhere. So to blame one more than the other kinda isn't fair.
