Ok, so I'm in my H.E class today and we have to watch this video about bacteria and food poisoning, this woman starts to speak and after a while she mentions that she has a girlfriend. I didn't even acknowledge this but the rest of the idiots in my class yelled, "GIRLFRIEND?!" And I was just like, "What the ********? Never heard of lesbians?" I mean some of them have called me it enough times but if someone really is gay they're sitting there think, "Ewww....That's gross!" It pisses me of that they're so immature about this.

Yeah...And what grade are you in? rolleyes Usually that goes away with time, but some people never stop being prejudice. I think the teacher should've stepped in at that point and layed some smackdown on your classmates. Unless the teacher's a homophobe too. Apparently certain states have a lot of thick headed people like that, but i live in Canada, so i wouldn't know.

Apparently certain states have a lot of thick headed people like that, but i live in Canada, so i wouldn't know. I could either make an anti-Canananananada joke right here, or say something about the Legion, but I won't. Instead, I'll agree. It goes away with time, but people universally suck. Especially when they're homophobic bastards who need to be shot with a chaingun.

Some people mature slowly, or they never do, and some people are mature at a very young age. Sorry that your class is filled with idiots.
I don't get why people use the word "gay" to describe things. "omg, that's so gay." "this food is so gay" "my computer isn't working. gay."
I mean, holy hell. The word "gay" isn't meant to be negative.
What's wrong with gay/lesbians? They're still people. They were born that way, and whether they like it or not..well, that's personal.

Believe it or not, some people NEVER grow up. If they're reacting like that now, they'll likely be worse in high school. rolleyes Probably the type of people that think you can "choose" to be gay and that every gay person will hit on them.
(Frankly, my taste doesn't run to homophobic, heterosexist pricks, and I don't know anyone with taste like that, so I feel comfortable saying they're just arrogant.)

I'm Scottish and in my first year of high school over here. Making me twelve. I don't know what grade that is in America. The teacher's nice and kind but she doesn't know a thing about really controlling the class.

I'm Scottish and in my first year of high school over here. Making me twelve. I don't know what grade that is in America. The teacher's nice and kind but she doesn't know a thing about really controlling the class. That would be around 6th grade here, first year of middle school.

And that's just the way it is sometimes. -shrugs- Kids are immature. Hell, a lot f adults are immature. Just ignore it. If you stand up in class and make a scene about it, it just adds fuel to the fire.
In time they will grow out of it. Or grow dumber and dumber, have 15 trailer trash kids who are also really dumb and further prove that natural selection had begun to fail the human race.
