April 16,

It was morning and I had just started to try and untangle my hair, which was a mess as usual. Right before I had started to brush my hair, there was a kncok at my door. Rather curious I ventured downstairs and opened the front door, no one was there but a note and a small sack. Opening the sack it was, to my surprise, the golden seedling! My heart raced, why was the seedling here? Had someone dropped it off at my home knowing I'd bring it back to the store, or...? Carefully picking up the fae child, I brought it into my home and out of the cold setting it carefully on a table, I sat down. Opening the note, my heart raced ever harder and a faint light-headed feeling followed next as I briefed through the lines of fancy writing:
User Image

Once I finsihed I was in shock a fae of my own? Looking at the golden seedling I sat and studied it, my head was swimming. The plants pale green leaves and stem seemed to have small throsn on them, and a soft lavender bloom swayed gently. It would seem the flower would be the main part of the plant, but a golden orb shone birlliantly two other smaller dead eggs hanging below it. A sole survivor out of three, just like I was the sole survivor of my family of three. We were alike.

Gently stroking the golden egg I surprised myself by speaking, "Seriva," I had said, and it was then I decided I would name her-I am confident she is female- Seriva. The fae child reacted by brushing up against my hand with a soft leaf, I could not help but smile.

I was a mother.

Oh, my! What's happening to the Golden Seedling? Seriva begins to glow a warm golden light!

I awoke slowly, basking in a soft golden light, at first I knew nought was going on. I felt only a gentle warmth grazing my face.

The light becomes intense! Golden rays of light shoot from the core of Seriva. It appears that the crystal is melting!

Then, a flash of brilliant golden light crept through the crack in my eyelids, and I leapt up. A dagger came swiftly to my hand and I was poised, ready for a fight. Then I saw what was truly happening, shielding my red eyes, I observed Seriva. The golden orb was glowing so brightly I could barely lookat it, but nonetheless I stare wide-eyed as the gold crystal started to melt. My heart beat rapidly in my chest, and my breath caught in my throat. My arms went limp at my sides, and the dagger dropped point down into the ground at my feet.

Seriva's Phase I Information:

Speech: A rather serious toddler who babbles in child language. She has a habit of pointing at objects and then speaking to them in her child-like way.

Appearance: Along her arms and cheeks are small, gold-color scales. Two seemingly hollow, gourd-like objects grow from her back with strange appendages attaches. These appendages feel much like a fresh flower petal.

Abnormalities: At this time, there seems to be no significant abnormality with Seriva. Her hands are covered in gold scales, and have little sensation. She is able to touch hot or sharp object without feeling pain, but the scales seem to sustain damage much like a piece of actual gold.

Behavior: Strangely, Seriva does not appear to be a playful child. She acts quite seriously and treats all matters as if they were very important. However, she is good-humored, and it almost seems like her business-like behavior is part of a dramatic act. After pretending to intimidate others, she often bursts into laughter before resuming a serious demeanor.

I could swear when the crystal liquified entirely my heart stopped, my blood ran cold as I watched the liquid gold churn into a sphere of luminescense. time stood still and my mind ran blank as even brighter still rays shot out from the center of light and illuminated my room entirely.

Do you know, when time freezes it has to move extra fast to make up for the pause? Well it seemed as if this happened, for in a mere few seconds my eyes were blinded and when I regained sight I saw something I would never forget...

There was Seriva, my daughter, my child. She was sitting on the ground, her golden eyes curious and so mysterious at the same time. Her soft yelow golden hair was rather spiky like my own. I heard all the fae children in the town had atleast one abnormality, I saw none in Seriva. She was perfect, beautiful. I dropped to my knees beside her, and cradled her in my arms, with a small hand she felt my face. It was then I noticed the small golden scales that were on her cheeks, arms, and hands. Gently I stroked her cheek, the cool, yet warm, feel of metal under my fingertips as they went over the scales. they appeared to be made of true gold, for they felt soft and smooth.

"Hello Seriva," I whispered softly, and she looked up at me. Picking her up I set her on my bed, finding the small package that her clothes were in I got her dresed.

I couldn't believe it, my daughter had been born.

April 14 -afternoon-

So far the day has gone well, and it was shortly after Seriva's hatching that I ventured out to go visit Cordain. With Seriva beside me, I entered the Inn only to find a young girl Cirisse who is to be the Entertainer in the Forest Fae. So many had come to the town since I had arrived with the original party with Miss Chiaku! And so much had happened, life had changed so drastically it was truthfully quite amazing.

Well, I talked to Cirisse for a small while when there was a knock on the door behind me. So as I opened it I saw another who went by the name DS, and her fae child: Linnea. Linnea was the first other toddler I had ever seen, she was quite a pretty thing, her blue hair seemed ot flow like water and -how I saw it- she seemed to be of the water element. Seriva seemed to get along with her, though both were shy at first, Seriva grew use dot another's presence easily observing everything in her serious manner. I have recently decided that Seriva's element must be metal, for there are golden scales on her soft skin they are a soft delacate metal, obviously gold. My golden child, who would have thought?

So, I spoke with Ds and our children played. DS had the most peculiar of cats, or what we thought to be one, for the creature was soft with fur and had butterfly wings.

You see Seriva playing in the dirt. What is she doing? Oh, look! She found an old, gold ring! surprised

User Image

We were deciding on a name when Seriva came over to me, with her matter-of-fact way, she held out her hand and place dinto my own a golden ring. I was surprised, though soon quelled the emotions I always do, and I praised her for her find. It's an interesting ring, and I wonder to what purpose I have obtained it, or Seriva has obtained it I should say for she found it. I'm constantly curious -in the short ammount of time I have had her- of what she will turn out to be like. My past worried thoughts on the Elemental Spirit Fae have been quelled and I now wonder: What powers do these creatures have, and why was I chosen as the mother to her?

You hear a squeal from Seriva! Something seems to have caught her eye. surprised Oh!! She's trying to get a bag of gold coins that someone must have dropped!

User Image

My dear child seems to have such a wonderous love of golden objects. Which would seem only normal to her appearance and golden scales. I find it amazing, for the little scales seem to truly be gold!

Before she found this bag, I had been within the forest. There is someone there, and I know this now. So, in the night, when darkness I strong in the skies I will find him and kill him. I hate to write this done... Worried someday Seriva, or someone, may read this... But for now, you are my confessions. I really am worried of who I will find, and I'm hoping it ins't who I thought it was...

Lately my memories have been haunting me once more, like a rainstorn the gray clouds growing darker and heavier until they burst. Yet, instead the rainclouds are my mind.

I... I had found the two men who had been haunting my mind, and now they both lie dead in a clearing to which I must return to burn their bodies. They underestimated the strength and cunning of a girl, and it led them to their painful deaths.

I don't enjoy thinking of two more deaths by my hand, quite the contrary.

I feel no guilt nor remorse, they are dead and should stay that way. But... Well, these things are hard to explain.

Granted, I did not come out of the battle unscathed as I should have, I am geting rusty and I need to train more. I took two arrow-wounds and a slash across my cheek, one arrow hit my shoulder the other... the other pains me as I write this, it struck my chest and pierced my left lung, breathing is hard at points, but as long as I breath deeply I'm fine.

I was found by Seriva who scrame until Cor came and healed me.

I am so grateful for having such a friend in Cordain, he is such a wonderous and handsome person. I feel I can truly confide in him. He has such a smooth tongue and a kind manner, I am surprised he was once in the same ocupation I had.

Seriva's Phase II Information:

Speech: Seriva has developed a very serious manner of speaking. She talks in a constant official tone, making small matters seem like important things. When referring to her caretaker, she always calls Zeejay "ma'am." Also, Seriva has developed a habit of rolling her eyes and sighing loudly, part of her act of maturity though it is mostly exaggeration.

Appearance: Seriva has grown considerably, though she is still smaller than some of the other children. Lady Chiaku gave her a gift of armor so that she could match her mother, the guardsman.

Abnormalities: The strange wing-like appendages hooked onto Seriva's back have gained movement. They spring to life without her instruction and have a habit of floating about the air or slapping against the girl's arms. However, when she is in danger, they sometimes come to her aid. For example, if she falls out of a tree, they will immediately wrap around a branch, saving her from hitting the ground. It's almost as though they have a life of their own...

Behavior: After watching her mother befall injuries, Seriva has become a rather serious child. In a very exaggerated way, she acts as though everything is important or dangerous. Also because of past events, she has also developed a habit of unconscious stealing. If something pretty catches her eye she has a habit of taking it without understanding that it may belong to someone else.

Seriva... she... Oh my gods! She is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! I can't remember the last time I loved someone so utterly much... She is an essence of beauty, by far more precious than gold.

For... She -is- gold!

My dear child has grown and now speaks well to me, though she has a serious manner. She speaks as if she is an adult and is very mature. Sometimes one of her habits tends to worry me, she has taken a liking to theivery. And normally she tends to steal gold, silver, or copper or other metals.

She is small, but has a merciless and comanding attitude in her. Lady chiaku -whom I owe so much gratiude- has given her the gift of golden-plated armor, which Riva never takes off.

I love my daughter so much, the first two true words I ever heard her speak were: 'Hello ma'am.'

My heart melted, her voice is wonderous...

I decided to show her to Cordain, she complied, but wishe dnot to see Nekura. I can tell she dislikes the boy, she seems to have good reason. I fear they'll never get along.

Seriva, I see now, if extremely attached to her kitten Worm, and Worm to her. they are irrseperable. Worm purrs, croons, and mews softly whenever Seriva strokes him, but if someone else-even me- tries to touch him he hisses and bites. I am glad she loves the cat so, and he is kind to her.

Worm seems to be growing a demon-like spirit to him, though he is like an angel in Seriva's arms.

A black, flame-eyed angel.

Seriva is Gone!

!!!
...A VOICE...

User Image

The children freeze in their tracks, turning their faces to the outer reaches of the village... There's something...there's something... There's a voice loud within their minds!

"We know you are hiding, little rats. It's time to show yourselves!"

Without warning, the children storm out of the village in a panicked run...straight into the forest!

The horror of loosing my sweet child to this infernal forest creates such a feel inside me that I've never felt before. I've traversed the woodlands for hours it seems, and night has fallen, my poor Seriva left without a trace, the other children also.

I've been travelling with Dio and Faevan the majority of the trip, it seems that Faevan has accepted me--even ever so slightly. Dio is well and optimistic in finding his son, Shin Daiko, and I truly hope he is discovered soon.

I cannot right much, I am busy only now taking a small break, I must be off again.
PostPosted: Sat Apr 16, 2005 3:50 pm

Hours and hours have passed, but finally my precious daughter is back with me again. Though.. througout the ordeal of finding her my wounds reopened and... When I came back, I passed out for a sizeable chunk of time. Now I must not over-strain myself and relax..

Which is much harder than I thought it could be.

As it turns out, I'm not trusted on my own, and the Governess wants my condition to be watched. Though this is a reassuring thing that they care enough about my well-being.. It can be frusterating. I'm going to take residence at the forested Fae Inn until I am fit enough to be on my own... which does let me get closer to Cordain and Sai.. And seriva will be able to play with their children...

Though I still wonder how she'll get along with Nekura.. they seem to clash every time they're near. let's hope Seriva can keep herself calm and that Nekura keeps his fiery temper under control. Also I pray that worm will not terrorize the poor boarders at the inn... at this point I'm betting that the damned cat will end up ruining a lot of food.. But, nothing I can do..

Well, here's to hoping.

SPECIAL EVENT for Zeejay!

Seriva suddenly looks very sad! sad She asks you, "Why do people want to hurt each other?"

User Image

Zeejay looked down at her daughter, her claret red eyes wavering. Why do people want to hurt eachother? Was there relaly an answer to that question that she herself had asked all these taxing years?... Breathing in deeply as she could in her current state, Zee began to reply.. Very quietly as she was rather unconfident in her answer.

"My sweet.. People.. People don't always want to hurt eachother.. Though, there are some bad people who wish to cause harm to others..." Zee's voice choked up and she had to calm down before she could continue on.. realisation had just hit her.. Bad people? What was she saying! She was one of those 'bad' people wasn't she? How could she just.. say these things to her daughter so simply?

"Seriva... I'm not exactly sure why these bad people would want to hurt one another, but they do... I mean.. I should know honey.. Because.. because..." Zeejay couldn't take it any longer, small tears welle din the corners of her eyes. "At one time.. I was once one of those bad people.. But.. I no longer have any wanting to hurt anyone.. I can't believe I ever did.."

At the look of horror on Seriva's face Zee began to try and explain herself. "I was young and naive.. My life wa.s. in ruins.. and he.. h-he.. Came and helped me, but he also poisoned my mind. I-I.. didn't know what to do! And..." she traile doff, finding it impossible to explain herself to justice. Zee tried to outstretch a hand to run through her daughters golden hair... But Seriva leapt backwards, her eyes in disbeleif.

"No..no.." she whispered silently, backing against the door. "But.." she whimpered, then turned and opened the door barreled past Lady Chiaku down the stiars and out the door, the stray rays of light reflecting of her golden armour and scales.

Zeejay just sat there, tears rolling freely down her face, what had she done? Seirva was far too young to hear nay of this talk.. Had she herself ruine dher daughters life now? would anythign eb well.. would she be forgiven? So many questions, so little answers... It was then Zee noticed the Governess standing in the doorway. "H-hello Ma'Lady..."
