I'm willing to risk telling friends whom I'd like to share my crossdressing with. The thought of sharing it with my parents on any level is weird, so I don't think it's worth the risk.

I know that i was afraid because of what i said. But in the end i told them, there was too much drama but we sort of learnt to deal with it. (i.e. i don't expose them to my issues)

Because our friends are the same generation as us. And you don't live with them, and they don't have any authority over you, and they're your firends not PURE EBIL! D:< >.>
We shouldn't because we know its not "normal" and we're afraid of rejection and being outcasted or not excepted. But its healthy not to tell them because if your not living with like, cool hippy parents (though they have downsides too X3) it most likely will destablize your family. Make things difficult, create hate and odd feelings. Its best to tell them if ever planned to, to be out of the house. Living on your own.

you could also try to talk to them and make them understand a bit more... it's harder, but better, i think. Unless they are totally 3v1l. Then it wouldn't matter cuz they would sacrifice you to some unheard of deity at 16, so whatever.
Being either transgender or "just" a crossdresser shouldn't be the cause of problems in your family or anywhere. It's up to us to solve the conflicts.

Most teens when telling their parents about their sexuality or some lifestyle thay have taken up its usually out of vengance. To get back at them for being a*****e parents or something. But being afdraid to tell them is normal. Your supposed to feel like that. Thats why you get the feeling XD Its best not to tell them. Honestly. It is. Especially my bible beater parents XP

kurorat yeah its normal to be afraid but i wish i could tell em but when im about to my mouth just shuts down on me I probably could and then go through hell for a month and then be accepted by my mother, my father not say anything about it, and then my little brother make fun of me and my dad laugh when he does. neutral Thats what happened when my mother found out I shaved my legs.

then get a counselor to speak with them... y'know... if it's important enough.
I don't think that if you only crossdress but aren't actually transgendered then there's no reason to worry about it... it's a private thing and such.
IF you are transgender, they should know it... Pretty much like if you where pregnant, "just out of courtesy"... it's not like they can do anything about it.
IMHO, that is...
