Assylion
The city of Assylion is one of beauty, and business. It has prospered ever since it was built on the shores of the Ballion Lake. It was founded after the War of Tears ended by the three Heroes of the war. Ballion Lake runs off in to several rivers that connect to other lakes and cities, making Assylion the central trading city in the area. Being built by the water Assylion is home to several of the best sailors and captains who get hired constantly to transport goods, and people to other cities. The city is also surrounded on two sides by the Senylist Forest. To new travelers and merchants who set eyes upon the city for the first time says that it gives off almost an enchanted feeling. Assyllion attracts more travelers and merchants daily despite the growing darkness that seems to spread across the lands threatening the serenity of the city.
In Assylion there are three famous taverns, One is the Salty Dog, Cowel of Darkness, and the Drunken Ogre.
The Salty Dog is a tavern popular to the sailors who are in Assylion on business, also to the local sailors as well. The tavern is famous for their Spicy, and Sweet meats. One of the very few taverns in the area who actually have a very good cook. Brawls aren't frequent here but they happen time to time when tempers flare. Salty Dog is one of the best places to go to find out information about other cities, and rumors.
The Cowel of Darkness tavern is more popular to the younger generation. It would be considered more of a dance club then anything else. They have their own band who plays a generic style of music. The tavern also has a wooden dance floor that is kept squeaky clean for the patrons who wish to dance, as well as regular tables and a counter. The dance room closes at a decent time at night for the weary travelers who wish to get some rest, they do however have some nights where they play all day. They are open at sunrise though the band doesnt start playing untill the late afternoon. The place is usually packed by evening its even hard to get a room some nights. Its a tavern for the younger towns folk and travelers alike to go to.
The Drunken Ogre is a tavern for pretty much everyone else. They serve their famous Assyllion Mead, that they brew themselves. Its said that there is no other drink that kicks you harder. It can make even the biggest drinkers in the city drunk withint a few mugs. Brawls happen more frequently here. So frequently the Tavern had to hire their own guards to break up these fights and throw out the unruly drunks.
There is no king of Assylion it is instead run by the Berthos Templars, who has a base of operations setup in Assylion. Assylion also doesn't have their own army, instead Berthos keeps enough men there incase anything happens, and is ready to mobilize to Assylion's aide if anything serious happens.
In the middle of the city is the huge courtyard. In the middle of a huge fountain stands the giant statue of Braike, Cellia, and Assylious, the three heroes in all their glory. Locals pay homage to the statue in honor of their brave sacrifices that delivered them from the pit lord Rakshasalek. Gardens are spread out through the courtyard that many people who are visiting or live their plant flowers in memory of those who gave their life on the final battle ground where Assylion was built on. The tombs of the heroes lies just north of the statue. The tomb has been sealed off for years and no one is allowed in it.
Assylion is well guarded and walled off from the outside world. There is a large gate that leads in to and out of the city on the opposite side of the port. Assylion has several watch towers along the walls that are always occupied. The front gates are only opened during the day, they open at sunrise and close at sunset. After sunset no one is allowed in until sunrise. There are a couple small villages that lie just outside Assylion's protective walls that visitors can stay at if they miss the designated time to get back in to the city. There are several creatures that live in the forests surrounding Assylion that are unknown to the people.
War of Tears and the Three Heroes
The War of Tears all started when a dark wizard, named Layfe, was kicked out of his order. His wizard order, the Cowel of Dark Hoods, caught him stealing sacred scrolls that taught forbidden spells. The ancient scrolls had spells scribed on to them that no human should ever see. The ancient scrolls becane forbidden and locked away during the dark times when men were casting powerful magic such as calling forth a powerful Daeman from the nether realms. These magics they could not control especially the creatures summoned by them. It plunged all the land in to a horrifying darkness that took centuries to battle and rebuild. Seeing their mistakes the elders sealed away these scrolls containing the forbidden magic never to be used again. However that did not stop Layfe when he learned about them. He was one of the top wizards in the order, but he wanted more power. He became glutinous for it. He learned the where abouts of the scrolls and decieving his way to get them. He grabbed as many scrolls as he could before trying to leave. The elders learned quickly of his deciet and intercepted him. Layfe was half way memorizing one scroll before they stopped him. The Elders kicked Layfe out of the order, and banished him to an antarctic region. Layfe lost and alone recounted half the spell he memorized from memory. He decided to give it a try. The spell was to summon a powerful Pit Lord from the seventh gate of Hell. As he chanted the incantation a fiery vortex began to grow from the markings in the snow he had to draw for part of the spell. From the fiery vortex a giant ethereal Pit Lord emerged. Layfe stopped the incantation as which the Pit Lord let out a scream as he tore at some invisible barrier keeping him trapped from his plain of existance to Layde's. Layfe backed away a horrifies shocked expression on his face as he stared at what he was trying to summon. "Finish the spell." The pit lord growled flames flicking out of his nostrils. "I.. I can't" Layfe stammered. The pit lord hissed at him, "Do it human, and I can make you more powerful then you could imagine, you can be by my side as I conquer this plain." the pit lord anticed. Layfe's eyes light up burning desire, "I still can't I only read half of the spell." Layfe said regaining his composure. "Repeat after me, I know the spell but since you started it you have to finish it." the pit lord said. Layfe nods. The pit lord continues to the spell from where Layfe left off, and Layfe repeated every word of the demon. The pit lord gained flesh and was now no longer just a spiritual being he was here in physical form. "Freedom, and I shall conquer all." The pit lord said with cackling laughter. Layfe shrinks back before saying "What about the power you promised." he said in squeaky voice. "You shall have it, as long as you become my thrall." The pit lord said. Layde hesitated a moment before walking towards the demon saying "Yes my lord" getting down on one knee. The pit lord bestowed on Layfe's forehead a symbol marking him belonging to the pit lord. They made their way to where the ancient scrolls were kept, after Layfe had explained to the pit lord how this all came about. The pit lord was powerful and could not be stopped, in a last desperate effort the elders torched the building burning the scrolls with them to prevent the demon from getting his hands on them at the cost of their own lives. The pit lord cried out in frustration as the power he sought was burnt to the ground. Layfe was about to run in to the burning building to try and grab the scrolls but the demon stopped him. "No my thrall. we shall instead gather an army and with that army nothing will stop us." The pit lord said. "Yes my lord." Layfe responded. Together the two banded together Orcs, Ogres, Ettins, and goblins sweeping across the lands like a storm. Cities were destroyed people were slaughtered. An angel guised as a hermit could no longer stand to watch idly by as the pit lord conquered the lands. He gathered his two loyal friends a powerful swordsmen/sailor named Braike and Cellia the last member of the Cowel of Dark Hoods order. Together they gathered men from all over the land to fight this evil that threatens their homes. The angel Assylious inspired men all around he went. The army of Assylious would later be called Berthos Templars. Assylious' men meet the pit lord's army in small skirmishes across the land. Each side winning and losing. Both armies suffering heavy losses meet in one final confrontation. The battle lasted for days, pushing the limits of men and beast. Assylious, Braike, and Cellia meet the pit lord and Layfe in battle. Assylious meet the demon head on fighting him off as Cellia worked on a spell to banish the demon from the plain. Braike was left fighting Layfe and a few of the demon's personal guards. Cellia cast the spell but not before the pit lord had delivered the final blow to Assylious. The pit lord screamed in anguish as a box of light trapped him dissapearing from sight. Layfe seeing his master was defeated and himself suffering from heavy wounds retreated to never be seen again. Records can't accurately say whethered he died later on or still lives to this day. Braike and Cellia crouch down comforting their dieing friend who gave his life to fight a war that was of no concern for his kind. After his death Assylious was honored in a funeral that would make the dead kings, even the gods jealous as thousands upon thousands attended. Braike and Cellia helped build the town of Assylion naming it in honor of Assylious. Braike and Cellia died later of old age and were buried in the same tomb Assylious was buried in Assylion. A gigantic statue was erected in Assylion and several other cities depicting the three heroes in all their glory. The Berthos Templars became an army for the people to rise up again in glory should ever evil threaten their lands again. Majority of the army resides in their capitol of Berthos while having several soldiers stationed in cities across the land. The people named the demon Rakshasalek.

But yeah, I'll put a possibly still down for me because I'm not sure how much time I will even have to RP mostly.

I was sceptical at the beginning... but now, I think I'll like it! 3nodding
I generally don't like that genre or setting for an RP, but getting into it, I found it to be interesting. My feelings towards this kind of RP helped me define my characterm should I chose to join...
It would be awsome if you use paragraphs next time... mrgreen
Keep up the good work!!!

Thnx ^^ I wrote it at night (when I get my inspiration.) and well the story flowed from my fingers I was more worried about getting it all on paper then I was about paragraphs at that point. The thread in barton town is going pretty good ^^ there will be storyline but at the beginning I want the characters to interact with eachother and sorta get to know eachother while the story gets introduced

Is too much information possible? Just a question...because it seems to me that people kind of get lost in all of that information.

Sovereign of Darkness Is too much information possible? Just a question...because it seems to me that people kind of get lost in all of that information. It's... you. Lol. I think maybe you would get more replies if you paragraphed it before you posted it. Just write it down in a hurry and paragraph it later, then post it. It makes it much easier to read. I was fine up until your huge block of text which I never bothered to read until just now. It's good, but something as daunting as that is offputting to readers.

Not as good as the best RP in planning on Gaia... CybEarth! It's in the early planning stages, but when it is released in 1.0 ver., it will be the biggest thing ever. Once we peak enough interest, we launch 2.0, the GUILD!
Anybody interested in that?
