Cursed Bloods
BLACK MAGIC - The powerful magic of the cursed bloods. Often dangerous to use, but well worth the risks that must be taken.
-Dark-
*Magic invoking the dark powers themselves. Powerful and dangerous to all involved. Examples of the use of this power are draining the life from a target or delivering a crushing pain to a target. Extended use of this power often overwhelms the unwary user.
-Twilight-
*Unleashes power held within the night sky. By drawing off of the night sky, you can increase the effectiveness of your spells. Spells in this group have the greatest effect outdoors during the night. Such spells generally perform supplementary feats such as flight, blinding opponents, and the reflection of an enemy's spells.
-Conjure-
*Calling upon powerful forces to serve you. These forces may often take form in either a piece of equipment or a creature. It is not uncommon for the conjured to turn upon the owner.

NECROMANCY - The dark power of the cursed bloods to manipulate the dead and the living.
-Reanimation-
*By sacrificing a portion of your own life force, you are able to instill life into the dead, creating a warrior or warriors who will serve you in battle.
-Life-
*With the power over death might come the power over life. Life magic involves the curing of wounds and the purification of the body.
-Decay-
*The power to cause things to rot, wither, and die. Such powerful magic might cause iron to rust on the spot, or wood to rot away. A simple concept, and very effective.
-Bone-
*Powers over bones, used to create both weapons and armor from the bones of the deceased. Examples would be encasing your body inside of a skeleton, or reforming bones into a large sword or shield for your use.
-Spirit-
*When nothing is left of the physical body to manipulate, one might invoke the powers of the spirit. This magic may be used to either separate a one's spirit from your own body, or place an existing spirit within an empty shell.

Demented Bloods
ELEMENTS - The demented bloods are often granted minor control over specific forces of nature. Extended use of this magic may deepen illness.
-Fire-
*Power over fire. Allows the creation and manipulation of flames.
-Water-
*Power over water. Allows the creation and manipulation of water.
-Wind-
*Power over wind. Allows the creation and manipulation of wind.
-Rock-
*Power over earth. Allows the manipulation of earthly components (sand, clay, stone, mineral crystals).
-Metal-
*Power over metal. Allows the creation and manipulation of metal components.
-Plant-
*Power over earth. Allows the growth and manipulation of plants.
-Lightning-
*Power over lightning. Allows the build up and manipulation of electricity.
-Ice-
*Power over ice. Allows the creation and maniplulation of ice and cold.

MESMER - Mind influencing magics used by the demented bloods. Extended use of this magic may deepen illness.
-Telekinesis-
*Allows for the exertion of forces on objects from a distance. Examples of use of this power would be lifting up objects without touching them, or pushing an opponent back in battle.
-Telepathy-
*The projection and reading of thoughts. Allows communication with others without speaking and the reading of thoughts of others.
-Illusions-
*Magic used to directly influence the senses of another. Will make it seem as if they see, smell, hear, feel, or even taste something that is not real.
-Mental-
*Direct mental assault upon the enemy's mind. Such attacks put great strain on the user, but can be used to force an enemy to fall to the ground in pain, slip into a temporary coma, or even crush their mind entirely if the difference in power is great enough.

Cursed Blood Profile

Cursed Bloods are those who have the powers over Black Magic and Necromancy, and are doomed to have perpetual life. They often reach ages up to 120 before reaching a death, but the use of necromancy allows for their reincarnation of their soul in a new body. They are very well gifted magically and are unaffected by the illness that plagues the Demented Bloods.

Demented Blood Profile

Living mortal lives, the Demented Bloods are the ones who fear death the most. They have powers over the Elemental forces of nature and the psychic forces of Mesmer. Those who still have not been influenced by the illness maintain exceptional magic powers, while those who are more sick have declining magical powers and increasing physical capacities. They can live to be up to 120 years before finally dying a very real death.

Half Blood Profile

Half Bloods are the unlucky few who are the product of interrelations between Demented Bloods and Cursed Bloods. These people truly don't fit in with either clan, nor do they fit in with each other. They are often simply outcasts and loners, unable to find a place to fit in with this world. Generally speaking, a Half Blood is seeking nothing more than a purpose for living, though their lifespans are shorter than a Demented or Cursed Blood's. They are extremely talented in magical arts, having been born from two magical creatures.
