A very good sequel to the already seemingly perfect original, I just wished it had less small mistakes.

sarriss_sarriss A very good sequel to the already seemingly perfect original, I just wished it had less small mistakes. I haven't played it yet, How is it. I'm thinking about buying it as soon as I get money. It looks alsome, but I don't have high hopes for it. I didn't really like the first one. sry. My favorite budokai still to this day is 2. I love it dearly.

I love it dearly. its great but there are some flaws that were present in b2 and b3 like the voice chips not changing for characters with transformations, but its much less worse than either of those games. It is at its core a solid fighting game with a huge amount of depth for the engine. It is also the fastest game in the series and comes that much closer to matching the anime. Story mode isn't great but everything else is awesome, including the huge character list.

But I didn't see too much difference between the characters and they where all maped the same. Punch kick Energy. There was no Difference between characters except for what character from the anime u liked.

All round they made the characters stand out from one another. all the energy is pulled out nicely too, less generic moves and this time the generic moves make sense for the characters who use them and they pack a punch, while looking very nice.

Is there a difference in the lock on feature? Cuz it seemed to easy to me to just lock on to each other, plus with the random unlocks wasn't cool. lol

Thats good at least. I didn't like that whole fact of the lock on. lol

Yep, definitely the best game in the series, IMO. I mostly like how fast it is. I tried playing B3 after getting really into this and it was like my characters were stuck in mollasses. I also like how varied the characters are which is in start contrast to the uniformity of BT1.

True enough, I liked her moves in B3 better though cus even though shes a physical fighter she had good attacks that made her stand out.

I agree sarriss, they have very different fighting/attack styles. You dont see evryone else doing a headbutt rush attack like vegeta do you? lol Did they add in Goku's head butt attack at the end of a combo like in B3? I can't remember right now even though you play as him in a vast majority of the battles in story mode. And about the lock-on,I think it makes sense to have you un-lock if hit by certian attacks. Even in the show the characters didnt have a straight bearing on their own location much less others after being hit by something huge like a spirit bomb, even vegeta probably had to take a look-see when he came down after being slapped by that deflcted spirit bomb.

My only real complaint with this game is that when you fight in a tournament, your password characters almost go back to baseline stats.

two things still bug me in this game, the characters that are missing and the messed up voice overs. I'll start posting them soon.

Im dissapointed in the transformation system. I swear TO GOD that I saw a video of Goku going SSJ4, back before the game was released. I guess they changed that.
